This is the best version, everything is so clear. For anyone thinking Flo is just spouting random shite over the top, listen to her cadence, for example at exactly 3 minutes when the song goes high and listen to the way what she's saying fits in with the music. It's genius!

Heard Scratchcard Lanyard a couple of months ago, and thought, here we go, another one hit wonder. What a band. Her deadpan voice, along with powerful drums, bass and guitar, make for some remarkable songs. 😄

So cool. Villanelle from the first series of Killing Eve vibes. Iconic.
"I just want to tell you I’ve got scabs on my head" - I can imagine Phoebe Waller-Bridge writing a line like that for Villanelle to say. It's writing that pleasantly surprises and is delivered in such a charming way by Florence Shaw.
Strong set. A definite highlight of the festival. Florence has an oddly alluring presence. Must see live.

Holy shit , I've just lifted the rock of myself and these guys have come to my ears thanks to Double J. Thank god I've found this sound for now i am saved. The album is absolutely mind blowing and am definitely going to dig deeper into these guy's. Have got to get the word around to everyone about this music

As great as the new album is, also feel they're 2019 EPs still hold up today and are worth a revisit. The message behind Magic of Meghan remains particularly pertinent in 2021.

😂 Great comment. I'm on the fence. I agree fingers are most important but I find pedals seem to inspire me to do things that are different. Especially old blood noise, chase bliss and meris. Some how those pedals change my playing. Just love this guys playing in dry cleaning and would love to know what he is using.
@@TheDungeonDive yes. A pedal can inspire. I love my digitech delay pedal for example. But my tone comes from my playing. Like Peter Green or George Harrison to name two of many. But pedals can also make thousands of guitarists all sound the same . Yea?
