I’ll look into it. :) For now, I liked the idea of the thumbnail hinting the format and decks. I bet you can guess both if you think about it based on the thumb.
@@TolarianCommunityCollege I mean for me who isn’t very entrenched in competitive magic I’m guessing pioneer but I think it could be modern as well. I think it would be good to put the format in the title, for algorithm purposes as well in case people are searching for gameplay of a specific format.
Don’t give in to cynicism so easily, friend. It affects your quality of life. Assume the positive in others. It’ll pay dividends down the road.

Missplay at the 8:45 mark when she plays hall of the storm giants. It should have come in tapped. It changes the rest of her turn. Maybe not the outcome though. Great games!
It definitely did. The Arclight Phoenix wouldn't have been able to come out that turn, which would have left Prof at 6, outside of the range of her bolt for lethal.

Love the show. Can't wait for the next episode. Minor thing, Hall of the Storm Giants should have entered tapped in game 1, Prof might have had a chance, but probably not since he was playing Merfolk :D.
Noticed the same thing! Tappy did however have another land in hand that was a dual typed land that could have come in untapped so it wouldn't have changed much for the Prof unfortunately!

Great editing and animations; they're subtle and don't detract from the game. This has the casual feel of you and a couple friends sitting down to play some Magic, and I love it.

Absolutely loved watching this, glad I caught it on the premier and can't wait for more episodes.
Even with the few stumbles, with how complex and active the game is, it happens and didn't matter in the long run, and it was just enjoyable to watch. If this is an indication of the quality of the content of this show going forward, I am well satisfied and can't wait for more =D
I am really excited to see the Professor play. Always has jokes and is very funny. What a character. I am ready to begin the adventure.
This was great! Really entertaining personalities and fun gameplay. One piece of feedback, the 'Coming Up' segment at the start of the video spoils both Prof losing the first game (since we George will replace him) and TTC getting an answer to George's board. I understand that it's the pivotal moment of that game, though I would've liked to happen upon it naturally and not have it spoiled. I try to stay away from movie trailers for the same reason :) Looking forward to this series! Keep it up.
Inklin's stuff is great! She's done proxies for me at Magic conventions, and I love them. Glad to see her get a shout out!

Something about the small wooden thock followed by the brief clinging of tumbling of dice in a glass jar whenever a player takes damage is so oddly satisfying. Top tier content as always, Prof. Thank you for making such a wonderful segment and for keeping it going.

This was an incredible first episode! The witty banter, the effects, editing, decks, and format were all top-notch. I liked how these were Pioneer decks and not Commander. This is the video I'll show people if they ask why they should play Magic in paper form👍

Honestly, I'm not a fan of watching magic gameplay on CZcams because it's hard to understand what's going on unless you are a veteran. But you've done a good job making it easier to understand without having to dumb things down like how Game Knights does it (not that it's a bad thing).
Hope this series flourishes.

I am SO hyped for next episode. I've never seen gameplay of Splinter Twin and Birthing Pod, because I was in high school while they were in the metagame. Getting to see these mythical, pillars of their age play at full power is more than I'd have ever asked for.

Honestly this was probably some of the most fun ive had watching a gameplay video in a while. High quality with a clear amount of thought put into it, but still kept that air of chilling at a friends house playing kitchen top magic. Keep it up proff yall killed it.

Loved the gameplay, and especially the lighthearted tone! One small criticism, I got completely lost during the rules/format explanation as seemingly were Tappy and Georg, so maybe next time something like this happens an onscreen graphic or something could be a help?

Finally getting around to watching this series--love the editing and the banter! One thing I'm noticing is that the noise made when Tappy is attacked by a creature gives me Inscryption vibes, with the slight metal sound, the thunk, and the clattering. Still a really cool bit of audio work--loving how polished these are!
Can we make it official cannon that all Spirits are the ghosts of Merfolk? That would finally make Kira Great Glass-Spinner make thematic sense in Merfolk decks.

Nice show, thanks Prof! Although I think it should be called "Still better than Merfolk" a show were everybody beats different versions of Merfolks with increasingly worst decks every episode until you find one is bad enough to make a fair game

It was a huge error, but honestly I don't think it made that big of an impact on the game. Prof wasn't drawing well while TippyToes was running very well

prof would survive another 2 turn because the phoenix is what actually killed him
