Though in a totally different trade, I think the best instructors are those who make whatever they teach look like child's play - but not without making sure pupils understand its seriousness and importance.
You sir, are definitely one of those! Congrats from Brazil.

This video really helped me grasp the need-to-know skills and calmed me down for my first test. Thank you for the great video.
Edit: I am now a certified excavator operator. I don't think I could have done it without the help of this channel. My biggest thanks go out to those involved in this channel!
Edit: I am no longer a certified excavator operator. I was involved in a workplace accident where I failed to complete a pre-start check and the hydraulic systems failed. There was a fellow co-worker under the bucket, and the arm failed and dropped on Steve. H&R said his death was quick and painless considering the 2-ton weight of the arm and bucket. He was turned to paste faster than you could say "pre-safety check"! R.I.P Steevo, never forgotten.
Edit: I am editing this from a public library computer to inform you that I am now homeless and drowning in lawsuits. That's a shame, but with the knowledge this channel has given me, I now I can always reapply at another excavator operation center and rebuild my name.

@@TsparksBoxingEnt Well... I'm a Canadian and things aren't so easy. See, you don't actually need a certification to operate heavy equipment in Canada legally. Though, for many employers they will want a certification for insurance reasons. That being said, if you graduate with a certificate and seek employment, most employers will just laugh at you because they want someone with years of experience. Pro tips for Canadian HEO grads (with dozer, excavator and backhoe/loader and maybe also grader) you will want to join the union. You will want to contact the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 793 in order to join. If you don't have any experience you will be required to take an intensive course that lasts several months subsidized value of $57000 (of which you will pay only about $2000 WHICH INCLUDES ROOM AND BOARD, very worth it) . Why would you do this? Because when the course is done you will be assigned to a job or various jobs right out of the gate, getting paid much higher than an entry level position. You will get your seat time in a safe a professional manner and you may even be offered a permanent position from this. If you don't mind this lifestyle you can continue to work through the union but realize that you will be traveling and doing what is referred to as being a "job gypsy". Technically not PC but a pretty accurate description of the lifestyle. It pays better than standing still so if you don't have kids or a wife this might be ideal. Great for younger guys and could give you the money you need to start a company of your own. I hope this wasn't too much of an update. There really is no yellow brick road to follow for the operating engineer...

If your track throws off on the side of a mountain or your bog matts are disappearing, and you have to look for the escape route, there's nothing like experience when it comes to learning!. Every day is learning and thinking safety!. Cheers!

Unfortunately, in the Capital city of Australia, there's not one. The nearest is three hours drive away. I emailed them for schedules and prices, but never received a reply.
