Cesar did an interview not too long before he passed away and said that a day would never pass without people coming up to him and ask him to laugh like the Joker. He said he would always do it because he enjoyed doing it for them just as much as they enjoyed seeing it. Class guy. Don't find many of them in Hollywood anymore.

I met the great Mr. Romero when I was 15 years old at the Larry Edmunds Bookstore on Hollywood Blvd. He spent at least 10 minutes with me and I didn't ask him about his Joker role, but about old Hollywood and especially Tyrone Power. He was absolutely wonderful: handsome, personable, sweet, and an absolute charmer. One of the highlights of my young life. Before he left, he kissed me on the cheek and said, "thank you, young lady, for not asking me about Batman, but the old days!"

The older he got the better looking he got! My sister and I would fight over him! Great actor! Love you mr. Romero R.I. P.

I'm so glad that Hollywood never typecast him in "latin roles". I think his elegance, grace, charm and his ability to speak English woth no accent helped too.

Looking back at his portrayal of The Joker....for me, it really was/is certainly the most 'freakiest' and 'chilling' Joker of them all...

A class act. He and Ricardo Montalban both! I am so happy to have grown up watching them both before they departed. The cloth these cats were cut from is sold out permanently.

I so loved Batman and Robin in the 60's. Little did I know that I had such great taste in role models. A tremendously talented and versatile actor. He IS The Joker. No doubt about it. RIP Caesar. You were the best!
