The weight of the aluminum or metal axles on the ultra really help it stay planted and the suspension from loading up. I just bought a phoenix (haven’t even opened it yet) but might have to look into those axles ($$$). The one thing I don’t like about vanquish, everything is so expensive, ridiculous.
All fancy parts are $$
But so nice. I consider them truck jewelry 💃💃holds value too😊

Wow!! That kit is so much work!! It was fun and took a long time to build. So happy 4u! The tires I have on mine are usually the holds. I usually have hyrax on the ultra. J concepts tires are on these today we will put link in this video. I like the hyrax won the tournament last year.. and j concepts were in second place but both are 👍 😊

Am I right in thinking it would be best to get the lower priced version then get the aluminum axles for it? It just seems like you would come out about the same price and have the best reason for the ultra and the best reason for the rtr. I am looking around trying to see what I want to get and these are my choice so far.

Ultra is better period. The Phoenix is great but not quite the same level.
So what is special about these vehicles and Vanquish brand in particular aside from being being more expensive?
I have a TRX-4 Defender and Gen 8 Axe which I love a lot and performs great. Are these Vanquishes so much better that those rigs I have?
I have a gen 8 and vanquish products.
If you judge them on Build quality , fit and finish. Put the gem 8 at a 4 and the V are 9.5.
@@nicholasstephey8475 nah they're all plastics made in china maybe a higher grade plastics in vanquishes but I'm satisfied with my TRX-4 and Gen 8 Axe.
I'll spend extra on upgrades.

I do actually understand very well and I don't care. I've own bad american brand cars and had very good Mercedes benz and Audi I know the quality difference.
As for rc hobby I have my choices that's the beauty of it, I know my TRX-4 and Gen 8 Axe performs well.
@@flat-out have you ever owned a nice Chinese car? You clearly do not understand the difference. I have had two TRX4s, SCX10 I, II and II, enduro and numerous others and 2 VS410s. There are simply built to a different standard. CNC differentials all 6061 construction, compared to cheap injection moulding from China. There simply is no comparison and you will never understand until you own one. The VS410 is your mercedes G class, TRX4 is a 2006 Jimny.
Spectrum 2 in 1 is only 40 so it loses especially in the heavier rig.
I think the ultra wins. It's heavier..
