Its awesome to see how far Vanquish has come in the kit world. And you sell kits!!! 👍
I'm glad I've waited to purchase a vs410, now I can get one with the axles I wanted on it. This is awesome! Can't wait for funding to come in.
Wow, I'm saving for the Pro now . But now I have to think about this one. I really appreciate how you tell it like it is. Thanks Josh. Really enjoy all you videos.
Im so excited to get this kit. Ive been holding off to spend the money and im glad i did because now i will have the portals. Such a nice truck and once its mine its gonna get only the best electronics. Thanks Vanquish for producing such an awesome rig.
Great! I can't wait for the class 3 version of this ☺
Sweet truck! I just finished building my pro Monday. Best kit out there for quality, very smooth and quite. Vanquish website needs a photo gallery so people can post readers rides. Great video! Keep rubber side down!
Laser cut bodies FTW! Can't wait to get mine.
I love it, I want to get the pro for sure.
I actually just picked up the vs410 ultra and im currently in the building process can't wait to get it running
What a beautiful truck
Preordered mine Yesterday!
Awesome!
That is a good-looking truck
Just got mine this week, Castle Copperhead 10 Crawler Edition with a 1406 Slate 3800kv , Reefs 555 & IS 800 winch, Hyrax Predators on dual stage foams around Method Bead lock Wheels.
Perfect for class 1 at Nationals this year 64 days;)
I'm happy this has the VFD. At this point not running the motor in a forward position seems weird. I'm glad it looks like Saffy approves of it as well.
I just finished the VS410Pro. The truck is amazing, a lot of folks complain about the price. I own an SCX10 ii that with upgrades totalling more than I have in the pro. I will be selling my scx10 ii.
what a BEAUTY :)
It kills me I can’t run that at axialfest . 👍 awesome video! Keep up the good work .
That's just awesome....great!...another rig I gotta have for the Pro-line By The Fire.
Hahaha
Nice video!
I need it
cool
I watched right until the end. So technically, I am back into watching cat videos. :D
Great review! I have to think about keeping pro or buying the ultra. Should I buy both and have bunch of spare parts 😂. Maybe I just get taller tires with those 80mm shocks get good enough clearance.
I will have one😎👍
So hard to make a decision. Definitely want one but can’t decide if it’s going to be an Ultra or a Pro.
I've seen a lot of people complain about the vanquish price tag but anyone who has ever built a belly dragger will tell you this truck is price very well. A belly dragger is the only truck that will perform at or above the level of the rig and its almost half the price on average.
This is probably my next truck. Is it available now?
Where can I find the metal bumpers and sliders from the orgin
It’s good to see even though you work for Vanquish you don’t shove these trucks down everybody’s throat. Every hobby has to have different levels and your always truthful and fair with all the models. Frankly I’m nervous to buy one of these trucks because I might get rid of all my other ones. Are the 90 mm shocks being discontinued because I can’t find them in stock?
The 90mm will be back in stock as well as the new 80mm versions.
There is no need to try and force a sale, these are much smaller production than an Axial or Traxxas so the people that want them will know if it’s for them or not.
I'm going to run the OD transmission gears with the od gears in the axle while running the standard gears in the rear. Should put me somewhere close to smoked motor amounts of OD. Lol No really I will get a set of axles soonish.
Bonus Cat, Angela would approve Dwight of purchase
Thinking of swapping out the Ultra trans for the Pro trans,is there any difference in the ratios as I'm assuming the only difference is sintered versus machined gears?
The car looks solid. I will upgrade transmission just for peace of mind but I believe that is already very strong as it comes. And I do understand why VP skimmed the transmission. After watching all available videos and soaking in all of the information still thinking about which road to go. Pro or Ultra just because I am not the biggest fan of the Portal movement! But I am always opened to a change. Hmmm...
I’m new at this. I’m looking to buy either the pro or the ultra. I’m just gonna be doing some rock crawling and some trail riding in Montana. I’m just stuck between whether I should get ultra or the pro. Are these made in the USA? I realize some of the parts aren’t going to be but just curious to if I’m supporting US workers? Is there any benefits for having straight axel vs portal axel (Besides clearance)? How do the bearings and such hold up to moisture (snow and some water forging)? Thanks.
Hey Josh do you know when pro will be back in stock ? Pretty sure I want to go with the pro. Then wait for portal axle for my capra. Thanks again for awesome videos.
Im a huge fan of the vanquish products.I do wonder what the advantage was to use non machined gears in this model. Cost would be the obvious but I wouldn't expect cost to be a factor when designing a truck or this caliber.
Cost is ALWAYS a factor. Raising the cost to nearly $1000 was not our goal. Giving people a very comparable option to the Pro at a similar cost required the change and the kit version of the transmission is still fantastic.
Cool rig and cute cat!!!!!
I am buying the truck from a guy on Saturday. It’s not assembled yet. Not new to RC have been in it 12 years but have never bought a kit. Have tore my RTRs down to pieces when they broke and reassembled with no issue. With no real hands on kit experience, should I be okay with my years of in the hobby to assemble this kit or do you think I’ll be in over my head?
A w e s o m e !!
Get overview Josh. Decisions decisions!
I'll just hvta stick with my pro till the coin jar fills up again. I love that truck, best crawler money can buy. IMO anyway.
@@HarleyDesignsInc this is what i was searching the comments for was gonna ask what version you prefer
Is that the hood from the capa (spell check needed lol) Jeep, on that shelf behind you
I have a question about the vs410 Pro f9s when do you guys think you'll release those separately? I built a vs410 Pro using the d44 offset axles, really wanting to complete the build with the F9 offset axles. The F9's and the origin half cab body are the only two things I have left to complete it. Love the d44's but those F9's!! Gotta have them 😫Thanks for the video, that in my opinion is one of the best rigs you can buy on the market right now! You guys are killing it. Really glad to see the price point very close to the pro. Vanquish for the win 🤙
As soon as we can keep up with axles for the kits we’ll release them. Probably this summer for the Pro version F9’s.
Waitin on tax time! Glad i had the extra takin out thru out the year lol. Say josh, are u goina be at the midwest axial fest? Hope to be able to go myself
Hey I have a question about since its running portal do you have to run the motor in reverse polarity
Anyone know where to get the decal stripes he's got on the side of the body?
Would you mind providing a written list of the parts that are different between the pro vfd transmission and the ultra?
Ultra has: plastic motor mount and standoffs. Regular metal gears.
Pro has: aluminum motor mount and standoffs.Machine gears.
ultra has plastic bearing retainer in t-case
pro has aluminum bearing retainer also
Thanks!!! I wanted to make sure I caught everything just in case I wanted to upgrade them.
Your cat is absolutely adorable!
What is the axle width, hex to hex? How does that width compare to an SCX10 or 10.2?
Holy hell that rig is bad ass!! Price tag isn't lol but worth it!!! Guess I'm saving up.wish I. Ould buy a pre painted one the green one is awesome! I'm horrible painting & detailing! Awesome review really made me want one!!🤩👍🍻
I love this truck but I live in the uk so I would need to win the lottery to be able to obtain one.
No mention of the new 80mm shocks? Are they not on this rig? Also when can we get that tool separately?
The VS4-10 is a truck that I’d love to have in my stable, I’m curious though, how long until the VS4-10 Ultra Pro is released?
I don’t think that will be an option, I don’t see a higher price option coming from us.
Harley Designs, I’m now undecided between the Pro and the Ultra, however, if an Ultra Pro were to appear on the market, I wouldn’t hesitate to snag one.
@@RC-ScalerandBuilder you could get the Ultra kit and buy the Pro aluminium VFD transmission parts as upgrades?
Got a trx 4 sport...better to put the money into it or save up for this kit???
I probably have about the same money into my TRX4 sport kit. It’s just up to you and what you want. No need to hard sell you, just have fun doing what you want!
This is a really great release. So, Josh, could you please tell me what I should be angry about?
Are you a partial owner of Vaquish Inc. Or do you just work for them?
Hey Josh, tech question for ya on these VS410's. What kinda frontend toe in do you run on yours?
@@HarleyDesignsInc Hmmm🤔? Well that's what I've always run on all my trucks to, bout zero, but my Pro is more then just a touch. I've turned the rod ends out to where you can just about see the threads n it's still got a few degrees. I don't hv another VS4-10 (yet) to compare rods but even with the ends turned out it's still about .040 shorter then the manual. And suggestions?
Nash my pro is the same. We did make a change later to not allow as much toe if the rod ends were tightened down but I just backed mine off on the stock link and ran the hell out of it.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Cool! Thanks for the help. Back ta bash'n! Love this truck. You guys did a great job. A ton of thought n experience went into designing these three n it shows.
It's all of about -2°🥶 outside here in cheese head country so nothin but hard floors n indoor rock n wood piles for a while. Is the Vanquish Crew making the trip to Axialfest East in June? It shld be warmer by then.
No promises tho.
I’m having trouble getting a servo horn to fit without hitting the chassis. Currently using a tekin t440 on the ultra. Any suggestions?
No. I tried a couple different servo horns. Just ordered the vanquish 20mm in hopes to get it working properly. Is that the solution to my problems? Lol...
looks like another great truck but maybe you should stick with one model until you can keep up with demand for it instead of out of stock all the time
It’s always a struggle being that we have to produce so many axles but as time goes it will be easier to keep both in stock. Plus you can usually find them at our dealers if we’re out of stock. Most trucks are sold to dealers 😎
do you work for Vanquish? or are you being paid by them for reviews?
Vanquish is my full time job, I’ve never hidden that. It’s allowed me to have a hand in building my ultimate version of a trail truck.
@@HarleyDesignsInc ah ok, sorry. Im new and your vanquish videos had me a bit perplexed. Was getting the shill vibe but now i understand, thank you.
Vs4 10 chassis looks damn sexy
I moved to California to work for VP 4 years ago now. I’ve got to be part of these projects from the start and got to build what I ultimately wanted to own. I’m passionate about these products because they are what I enjoy personally. It’s a hard line to walk as I do work with other brands as well, but in the end I just love RC’s so I can have my hands in many areas.
@@HarleyDesignsInc sounds great man. Living the dream in the hobby you love. Keep up the great work
Harley Designs I can’t believe it’s 4 years now since you moved out there man, holy guacamole man, time fly’s
When can we buy the axles separately? -"Angry" Dave
After we can keep up with kit production for the axles, for example the Pro version F9 hasn’t been released separately yet.
@@HarleyDesignsInc That's cool, I get it. If you could mention it on your channel when they become available it would be much appreciated. Thanks man. -"Angry" Dave
One is for me, but my pocket starts crying :))))
Why did vanquish choose to go to a cheaper gear set ,when there known as a company that has the best CNC in the business.
Because as I was discussing with the added gears, shafts and machine time in the axles, I’d some changes weren’t made then it would have been closer to $1000. The trans that’s included is fantastic and has no adverse effects on performance.
More expensive than the pro, cheaper powdered gears.. makes perfect sense for vanquish
4 extra gearboxes on the end of each axle aswell... give take was the point I think Josh made.
Cheers
@@mickd8188 i get it, but with their customer base, why even think about changing from machined gears to sintered? Price point is creeping back to what the origin was and it doesnt have anywhere near the amount of hands on machining which tells me they're starting to get a little greedy
A lot more machine time in the axles, knuckles, and portal covers, extra stub axles, 8 more machines portal gears, a lot of extra bearings. All those things would have greatly increased the price. So instead of nearly $1000 it was able to able to be kept to $829. And the kit trans has been bulletproof.
@@HarleyDesignsInc bullet proof with the hobbed gears, time will tell how the sintered powdered metal holds up.
Mark Cargill the sintered gears have never failed a customer as far as we’ve seen. The portals further help that by adding reduction as well.
So Josh... You're really adding $500.00 Vanquish Portal Axles - for only another $75.00 added to the Kit price??? 😳👍👍
I hate to sound like a paid plug - but that's insanely GOOD value for money!!! 👋👋👋👋
GAWD I hope my Inheritance comes in soon.
Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Since you don’t get two sets of axles that’s not totally true but I still feel the value is in line 😎
@@HarleyDesignsInc Sorry! My math was wrong... 😖
Still, for the low added cost, the Portals are a fantastic added feature at far less than retail! 😎
Portals suck, portals suck, portals suck... here’s our new truck with portals and it’s awesome😆. Sorry just couldn’t resist. Love the channel!
It’s a really nice truck, but to me they fucked up bigtime, wenn they didn’t make space for a 550 motor 🤦🏻
I run a 540 on 4s which is more power than most anyone will run in a truck like this. A good brushless 540 has a ton of power for a 1.9 trail truck.
@@HarleyDesignsInc
Yes, but I’m a Hobbywing fan and don’t want to buy extra lipos 🙂
Fuk... orlandoo metal axles need portals . . .
As much as I like it I just don't see ever getting $1000 worth of enjoyment out of it. Nice truck but ridiculously over priced!
It’s not for everyone and that’s totally fine. If you were to try and build a truck like of its quality with aftermarket items, you’d spend a lot more. But that still doesn’t make it for everyone of course.
That body is ugly and looks fake. I think if you put a more realistic body from a cheap new bright car that would be a nice rig. That's what don't make any since they price them things the way they do but yet give you a cheap toy looking appearance.
Bodies are totally subjective as I feel it’s one of my favorites. That’s why bodies are easily changed as well.
I disagree this body is epic i cant stand those plastic hard bodies they totally ruin performance 💯
Awesome!
Really good review !
And your clear English has been very comprehensive, thanks a lot !
