Pro Wrong Country Duels On the HARDEST Geoguessr Maps

- In this video, I'm taking on my good friend @Lennli in a Best of 5 Geoguessr Duels set. The twist is, that neither of us are allowed to guess in the correct country. Thus, we have to take away eachother's HP by guessing as close as we can over the nearest borders. This time we tried to mode on some of the hardest maps we know. Enjoy!

you have to remember that due to the mercator projection vertical distance is not punished as harshly as horizontal distance (which i believe is partly why lennli always gets closer when you guys guess on new zealand for australia)

You can go st pierre and miquelon which is a French colony south of Newfoundland when you think it is northeast NA
loving this new series, nice to see who will get closer, this is surely harder as you need to pick not only the correct border and where about too. please keep this series going!

If you aren't sure if it's US or Canada, it might make sense to guess in Saint Pierre et Miquelon (a French territory next to Newfoundland)

So for Curacao you could have guessed closer, because Bonaire, the island to the east, is indeed a part of the Netherlands, but Curacao is a separate country. The Kingdom of the Netherlands is comprised of four countries, the Netherlands itself, Aruba, Curacao and St. Maarten. Now admittedly, that's quite hard to know :)
You usually count them all as one country in geoguessr

Edit: his guess was actually Åland, I didn’t actually see in the video just heard Öland.

If you are ever unsure if its East canada or north east USA:
France owns a small Island in north america, just west of Newfoundland

Big fan of the duels videos, but I don’t really understand the “picking in the wrong country” part of the challenge. I feel like normal duels would be much more entertaining.
I feel like it's more interesting because in normal duels they're probably gonna know the country almost immediately, but with this there's the worry of guessing in the right country so I feel like it's more entertaining, just my opinion though

after we guess the correct country (the us one) we only have to go for wrong continent once. thats the round after where we went tunisia for luxembourg! so after that we could go back to wrong country
