Interesting vid! Editing wise, the constant camera expand/shrink is distracting, especially when mid sentence. I appreciate the sample pictures for things.

i like the new editing style, the transitions and images are clean but i feel like the facecam pops around too much on like every cadence and its kind of distracting. very insightful video
Yeah agreed, good video and good editing but the facecam changes size way too much for me haha, it's borderline annoying but doesn't ruin the video, I just feel like it would have been a better video without the facecam changing size that often.

Hi, Slovakian here. I have to mention one tip with Slovakia. Aside from the letters which we don't have but f.e. Poles and Czechs do, we have regional thing on signs when you enter a town. It's a small blue sign under the main bigger one, it's mainly in the south in Hungarian language and in the east in Ukrainian language (but that are just a few villages)
I got Andorra and it was fully snowy and I thought it was Antarctica or Greenland. Quite a streak breaker.

@@valentinaroldan7764 I agree too. It’s just a bit much for me. I don’t need the webcam constantly resizing and stuff like that. I think you nailed it saying it’s generation. It does feel like this is for kids who need like a “look here, no here, no here!”
Obviously it’s not that bad and I still will** watch but I hope a better balance can be found and I’m sure it will.

Im from Norway and the yellow stripes in the middle of the road just gives away that you are in Norway instantly. Its definately a never miss on country streak.
I know this would be a huge undertaking, but I think an amazing idea for a series would be a guide to all tips for individual countries and playing some rounds on that country to show examples. (as far as I know) im pretty sure this hasnt been done before, and it would be super helpful for beginner/intermediate level players, as well as a reason to play the specific map.
i really liked the video, i took a break from geoguessr but watching this video somewhat made me remember and learn new things, very cool
I learned that Hong Kong and Taiwan apparently don't have flags.
@@B3Band nah i think its just that they didnt want to get into political controversies/conflicts
i’ve never seen any in the bahamas, chad, or djibouti, but mali actually does have some official coverage! there are 6 specific cities (bamako, djenne, timbuktu, niono, mopti, and gao) that all have google coverage in and outside some historical mosques. there is also a very small amount of official coverage in the middle of nowhere, a bit east of mopti, and i’m not sure why it’s there.

13:10 Estonia can be very easy if you see any text somewhere. Just learn to detect that unique language.
15:03 there are dashed sidelines in Finland on Åland islands. That can be tricky because that area looks very much like Sweden, but the road pavings are usually reddish on Åland.

@@mayonnaisemaniac6220 it is Swedish speaking and right between sweden and mainland finland so it's similar to both.
@@mayonnaisemaniac6220 There are differences that can be spotted. Estonian has quite lot of letters B, G , Ü and Õ that don't exist in Finnish at all. There are lot of D's too that is a very rare letter in Finnish. Also, Estonian contains many words that end with a consonant, but in Finnish great majority of words end with a wovel. With those you can see if the text is Finnish or Estonian without understanding the language. Both languages contain a lot of double wovels because in their writing systems long wovels are marked with double and short wovels with a single letter.

@@B3Band Taiwan and Hong Kong flags are complicated and contentious. They have flags but the usage of them can cause problems with China, even here on CZcams. It would probably be fine to show the flags but it's possible that the video could be demonetized if they are used. CZcams has done that to people before if they talked about Hong Kong as an independent country. Idk if the images on this ranking website were added by him or not but either way they probably aren't there because the situation surrounding them is complicated and controversial (to some people).
The areas in France and Netherlands that are close to Belgium look similar to it because they used to be part of it
Isn't it that the lowlands used to be one thing under spanish rule? I'd say belgium looks the way it looks because of netherlands not the other way around

great vid as per!
although i do think that this style of editing isnt suited for geoguesser content. far too fast paced. the constant resizing of your webcam is really distracting, and in my opinion the
cuts to reduce blank space during sentences is a bit excessive, and seems unnatural at times. with no downtime it just feels like a constant barrage of information, and gets really hard to watch after awhile.

personally i find it so much easier to learn when videos like this are more chill, i much prefer the slower paced editing style!

I don’t know how reliable this is, but sometimes when you think it looks fairly balkan and you see some not-too-clear but somewhat distinguishable autumn coverage, it can be Croatia. It’s a meta I found myself and it’s helped me a couple of times but not too sure how reliable.
Hei zig, maybe u can start a series of how to identify a country, like every video is one or two country, maybe if u can start with argentina/brazil, or maybe just brazil cos i cant differentiate it with mexico or nearby country with the spanish

funfact: if you're brazilian, every place on the globe that isn't straight up cold looks like somewhere there, so it makes it harder
true, i was exploring bulgaria in google earth just for fun and some streets looks like shit straight out of brazil
if youre in a country with the Cyrillic alphabet there are some unique characters for a lot of countries. for me what makes Bulgaria a lot easier is the use of ъ, correct me if im wrong but in most other cyrillic countries this is rarely used as it relates to the palatalization of consonants and has basically been phased out. whereas in bulgaria ъ is used as a vowel "uh", so will be in the middle of words. I realise this may be practically useless as if youre somewhere with posters there may easily be a url advert etc, but could help with roadsigns maybe

A unique one, as far as I'm aware, for Ukraine is the I-umlaut: ї, as well as the standard single-dot version: i. I believe they are equivalent to, or approximate to, the backwards и used elsewhere, like in Russia.

I'd love this content, but I agree with several comments that the face-cam constantly sizes is distracting. Also did you do something to remove the audio empty space? Non-stop pacing like that tends to drive me away from vidoes.

I feel like the U.K is one of the easist countries you can guess automatically just by the street and houses.
But then ireland exists...

@@rgshadow3813 nah theres so many rural rounds on some field path with no license plates visible which are just a 50/50, theres literally no real way to tell those apart

I was hanging out with some friends on geoguessr playing 3v3 duels (we are all 1200+ rated) and we all guessed Australia but it was South Africa. The funniest thing was that someone missckicked a d ended up guessing the ocean by Maldives and ended up winning the game

i would say UK is easy because if you see english you just already know, and it’s super super easy to region guess although you aren’t counting that

I.was on a 20 country ADW streak the other day and got a Peru round literally miles, no joke 5 or 6 miles from the Chilean border and i guessed Chile (i know stupid of me to not look at the Google car but i was really confident that it was northern Chile and the road lines were white) and was very sad. 😅

Hi, im spanish, and even I am of spain, I find it so diferent to other localitations outside spain, and spainish is internationally known and is easy to identity. Why is it that hard to you? THANKS!!
Im not a pro player but Spain has a wide diversity of landscapes, a very common language and can be confused with portugal making it difficult
Vietnam’s coverage was sadly removed. You can no longer get it, and the official map of Vietnam in geoguessr was also removed :(

Right off the bat i disagree with albania in somewhat difficult and australia in very easy. Australia has many similarities to nz, sa and na. Albania on the other hand have so many things that guarantees that you are in albania such as language, architecture, rift, car panels (both red and blue distinguishable)

Sweden is interesting it can look like denmark Finland and norway up northwest it looks a LOT like norway i Don’t Think You have had rounds there

The easiest country is the one you're from and those nearby.
What? AU and NZ look exactly the same in many urban locations, literally impossible unless you see some distinct clues. (same issue as CA vs US, but only applies to urban locs) Rural locations are very easy indeed.
SanMarino: super easy. Italian looking but usually not italian plates. Also you can see a trashcan in most locs and the lightish green color is basically uniqe, sets it apart from IT.
AU and NZ are pretty easy to tell a part in an urban setting- coming from a kiwi. Just look at the trees, it will be a dead giveaway (if you're in the suburbs or not the main city there are usually lots of trees everywhere on the side of the streets).
Pakistan, Madagascar and US Virgin Islands could’ve been included too
Taiwan and Hong Kong's flags could have been included too.

It's a weird politically motivated (Chinese influenced) flag set. Notice that Hong Kong and Taiwan are missing flags. It's really weird that he's taking this kind of stance on youtube.
