I have a flight from Casablanca to New York with a layover in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for 4 hours, and a terminal change from terminal 2 to terminal 1. I have two questions: do I need to retrieve my baggage, and do I need a transit visa? Thanks
Have a nice trip, in advance! But you need to know this : 1. Did you book connecting flights while purchasing your tickets? (If you do, you don’t need to worry about your baggage. as far as I know if you book connecting flight with same airline, the company will direct your luggages to your final destination) 2. As for the the layover visa, The transit visa is free of charge and can be obtained online or on arrival, but only for passengers of Saudi Arabia Airlines (Saudia) or Flynas. But for safer side, you have to call your airline again for double check. Make sure your nationality, your airline and your layover time are eligible for layover visa. I hope it’s useful!

I still have a doubt with the visa, cuz every airline has different policies. For example in Dubai (Emirates Airlines), they can only grant you layover visa when your layover time is above 9 hours. You also need to know if you’re a Moslem who intends to do umrah while layover, you might need specific umrah visa as well.
Setahu saya selama penumpang tidak keluar dari airport (tidak melewati imigrasi), kita ga perlu visa transit. Jadi tipsnya kalau ga punya visa transit, pilih jam tunggu yg singkat saja. Saya kemarin juga ga punya visa transit dan kebetulan jam tunggunya sekitar 4 jam.. Jangan khawatir, kalo pake SAUDIA bisa transit di airport yg baru. Airport nya baru dan sangat nyaman kok.. Semangat!! 😊

Saya mau nanya jika ingin pergi dari malaysia ke isyanbul dan transit di jeddah apakah perlu keluar imigrasi dan memiliki visa transit?
