As soon as I saw the thumbnail for this I thought, "Bootleggers! Such an underrated game!" It's not for everyone, it's pure negotiation with lots of threats, but it's so fun, and there aren't games like that anymore.
which is one of the reasons I kept it, so many people told me it was great. But for what ever reason it hasnt hit the table yet.
I have been working on slimming down my collection, so the #cull vibes are real. There just isn't enough time to play everything and I would rather the games get played than sit on my shelf!
I find the hardest part of getting rid of games is actually the hassle of listing/selling and dealing with buyers. I find they just sit on a shelf to #cull until I find the time.
#cull I know I need to remove some games from my collection because they do not get played often, but I find it hard because they all feel special to me in different ways. Hats off to those that are able to part with them.
Damn selling games is so hard, as soon as you buy something it's worthless. But the Vital Lacerda should be easy to sell.
We gamers need to #cull our collection more often. It's hard though, most of us are attached emotionally to many of our beloved games! Bravo in a sizeable cull!
Champions of midgard + Both expansions 10/10 its amaziiiiiiiiing, in my top ten! Played it a bazillion times because its so good.
I've been refining and #Cull ing my collection. Still buying games and selling them if I don't like, but a lot slower than when I started.
I'm torn about what to do with my copy of Expeditions. I agree with you that the game is just "ok". But, the promise of an expansion has me hesitating to #cull it. My first two plays of Champions of Midgard were back to back plays, one with no expansions, and one with all expansions. The expansions do add more stuff, but not necessarily more enjoyment. Play your base copy, THEN buy the expansion of you like it, or get rid of it if you don't. It's a staple in my collection. Great video!

The biggest problem for me and most of my friends is space. We back too many games that come in too many boxes. I will probably have to do my first cull and sell Senjutsu, I haven't even played it yet. It was an impulse purchase, and it is competing for our time with skirmish games that are tested and loved. Maybe solo mode will save it, but then I will have to find something else to sell. I hope after first one it will get easier.
I'm still building my collection, but I can already pick out a few that will be heading out on my first #cull when it gets there.

I thought I was going to put a couple games at the sale, ended up putting 13 in. Once I started pulling, there were several like Horseless Carriage (by all accounts a really good Splotter game): highly regarded, but not only have I not tabled it, I don't have any plans to table it. I have new KS/GF coming in, a ton of games I love, and so at this point even if it's a good game, if I don't see myself playing it then I'm moving on from it.
I've sold a lot of games in the last 12 months, including ones that I thought I was really going to regret, and I've only actually regretted selling one to the point where I bought another one (Forbidden Stars). So I also don't waste time thinking I may regret it - unless it truly is a grail game that is impossible to find, I can always get another copy if I truly regret my decision.
I'm slowly going through the #cull myself :( too many board games and not enough playing
Champions of Midgard was one of my first favorite worker placement games. I am one of the people that stands by it not needing the "essential" expansion people mention. End of the day, it's terrific, but Raiders of the North Sea has taken its spot on the shelf.

I have #cull a lot of my games over the past couple years. Now I have reached a point where I have many games that needs to be played first.
It’s always good to cull your collection every now and then. I’m currently trying to sell my copy of GWT Argentina since it never gets played.
I'm rotating things out of my collection pretty often. I usually utilize the math trades on BGG. I don't add brand new games too often so a 1:1 swap for something new works out well for me. Keeps my collection fresh and allows me to move things out that I didn't care for or won't get played. I recently moved my Star Wars Legion collection and Imperial Assault collections in math trades. These both freed up quite a big of room for me. Next month I think I'll be looking to move on from Circadians: Fight Light Second Edition for sure, maybe a few others. #cull
#cull The main problem is definitely space, but time and varied preferences among my friends are also not a negligible hurdle... Ah, board games are stressful!
I have yet to actually need to cull anything since I am new to the hobby. I believe I have 31 games in my collection so far but I’m definitely starting to have shelf space issues already 😅. #Cull

The issue I have is I don't have any board game stores near me anymore, used to go in like you and buy games on sale, and sell ones their. Right now I am trying to sell Canvas, because my game group absolutely hated it, but no ones biting because I never got the newest expansion. Mainly though I am buying less games because their all arriving right now, just days apart. Just got Skyrise, Slay the Spire, Biohack, and Leviathan wilds all just this week.

Currently high on the list for potential #cull is Batman GCC S1 all-in.
I just purchased One Deck Dungeon and LOVED it so it is making me revisit whether or not I need to move on from Mini Rogue and Tiny Epic Dungeons. Those games may be too similar to ODD. I plan on playing each of those a few more times before I make a decision. #cull

#cull. One of these days I need to actually go through and cull my collection. I’m getting close to 700 and still have several backed games coming. I’m running out of room for them, but have a hard time getting rid of games I enjoy.
Has the announcement of the new Expeditions expansion changed your mind about ditching the game? It seems to address the first turn issue that you pointed out, kinda TM Prelude style. I'm still not sure I'm keeping my copy, but I'm curious what you think about it.
I need to see more of the expansion. I currently have my copy for sale on BGG and it hasn't moved yet so the market is pretty low on expeditions.
I need to be better about #cull -ing games man. They are piling up, I just have such a hard time letting them go. It's odd as I have never had an issue with anything else, I can throw crap out without a second thought, but I turn in to Gollum with my games.

#cull I recently got rid of a lot of games. I just needed to be realistic with myself on what games are getting played or will in the future. For the past few months I've been diving deeper into a smaller number of games, so I felt fine giving others new homes.
I feel like I have gotten stricter on multiple fronts. It takes more for me to buy a game, I am more likely to look for something I want as a trade - so forced to replace something else, and if I do decide to buy, I have to have plans to play it. This keeps me from needing to #cull my collection often.

All kidding aside, it's a shame that your group had no interest because champions of Midgard is excellent ! I have never played without both expansions, but it seems the base game would also be great but I can see the bad luck being more frustrating without at least the valhala expansion.

Hard to do sometimes when you are attached to a game for whatever reason. Also hard when you mistakenly bought a bad game and everyone else seems to know so they don't buy it back!

#cull my recent sales have not gone as well as they used to. Happy to pass stuff on at a good price but the dip in value retention is making me be pickier and buy less games in general.
This is the problem. It's not as easy to resell and get close to what our idea of value is.

Oh gosh, for me usually it's a big deal to #cull a game I like and want to play a lot but never have the group to do this, so such games staying in my collection for now, even 1 play of it in a year will make me happy. But sometimes is it easy to #cull off a game that is simply not mine by a mechanic, genre, or player account like Santorini, Chtulhu DMD, Unmatched. I`m not a big coop fan, but wondering why no one wants Adventure Tactics for a pretty chip price for such a game. I thought it`s a popular game, but probably it will leave my collection for charity

It did sell. I had it for $90 I believe and it sold within 10 minutes of me dropping it off.
#cull, I have the hardest time culling games. I will list 10+ games and two will sell and whats weird is the higher priced ones sell better all of the ones I have dropped to $10 or a lot less than what I bought it for.
I try to keep my collection small (20ish games), so I #cull games on a regular basis.

Also thought about On Mars, simply because it doesn't see playtime anymore, no time for such long games 😅 There is one game I currently have on sale : Dinosaur World, because we prefer its predecessor Dinosaur Island in terms of gameplay, and that's it. I've stopped backing for more than a year now and very rarely buy games, so my shelves aren't that overflowing (still some bit) 😆

I’m just starting my collection and it’s been important to not buy everything that seems interesting! I’ve only got games that are going to be played in the same month. And is working great. I can’t get a game if it’s only going to be played 1-2 time a year. (That’s my self imposed restriction 😂😂)

I have a good amount of games I am needing to #cull but I have lost motivation to try and sell. It has been tough lately.
#cull I would like to cull stone age but my wife likes that game pretty much. The other game we are thinking to possibly cull is everdale. Its not the game that we chose to play, but I have convinced my wife to give it another go.
Tipicaly I am not the person who sticks with games. I can buy a game and play one and if I or my wife is not liking it I have no problem to sell it.
