    Shot my Tisas DS carry 9mm and it was a pleasure to shoot. Accurate with low recoil. Not one issue. Changed out my front sight for a green fiber Optic. Staying gun Amish , no red dot.

The hood on the cylee pulled all the smoke n would fog the glass so now I have the holoson eps carry and expect that problem to be fixed. The gun I absolutely love I don't have that many rounds shot but it runs amazing. I would 100% recommend this gun

    1911/2011 guns are not built to swap slides. Makes me wonder what the slide to frame fit on these is like. Any feedback in that regard?

    • @rdrgear
      @rdrgear  Před měsícem +2

      These are series 70 slides. The same side is used for both the single stack and double slide. It’s a 750 dollar pistol. Slide to frame is what you would expect. Slide to frame fit is a topic when you are getting a pistol made for you. Production pistols will always be in the “ok” they are pats being assembled.

    • @user-yp6xm6om5y
      @user-yp6xm6om5y Před měsícem

      I have swapped Tisas slide between pistols with no difference in function.... they CNC them so they are all pretty near Identical.

    • @socmonki
      @socmonki Před 17 dny

      1911s were originally supposed to be able to be part swapped and still function. They never fully achieved that, but you could take slides, and barrels and mix and match and have functioning firearms. They were not intended to be tightly fit pieces of art, but functional, reliable weapons. Slide swapping between this and other Tisas 1911s is no issue because they are not tightly fit, but they are functional and reliable. Loved my Stingray, sold it to get both B9R doublestacks. They're great, and that's coming from someone who also has a Platypus and a Prodigy. Hands down the best value on the market for a doublestack 1911.

    • @user-yp6xm6om5y
      @user-yp6xm6om5y Před 16 dny

      @@socmonki every Tisas I have has good slide to frame fit, and three of them are excellent, I put EGW bushings in them and they have zero rattle... I am very happy with my DSs and my SS carry ...Ultra high quality for a budget price. (they have all run flawlessly too with the exception of a 9mm carry, it had extraction problems which i fixed with a Wilson bulletproof extractor)

    • @socmonki
      @socmonki Před 15 dny

      @@user-yp6xm6om5y my Stingray was tighter slide to frame than both my doublestacks, but my doublestacks arent bad. They just have "battle rattle". Barrels lock up well, and they are smooth. In comparison, my Platypus is tighter but still a little wiggle, and my Prodigy is the tightest even after a ton of racking and some shooting. Best trigger goes to the Platy, with the Tisas guns in 2nd because they are identical. Prodigy is slightly heavier with a little creep, but still excellent. IMO, if you want a good quality 1911 style gun for not much money Tisas is the way to go.
