As powerful and skillful as Alex is, Jones is an old fox with a wealth of information in MMA and what the easy path to beating Alex us.I seriously doubt that he would agree to fight someone whom he hasn't figured out how to defeat already.
Worst case, Alex taps, no brain trauma. Gets all the shine. And PPV points payout. as close to win-win, as it gets. Best case…GOATED, forever.
Jones would wrestle Alex to ground,and start elbow him apart.unless Alex started really training wrestling hard,work on submission ground game.Jones more well rounded feet& ground,if Alex got good on ground, Might be different outcome fighting Jones.
Pereira needs to face a proper wrestler. Yes, he is proven himself as a great champion, and probably the best striker in the UFC, but to be a great champion you need to be dominant against every fighting style, and they haven't fed him a single wrestler yet.

this is such an insane take based on literally no activity in many years...meanwhile Alex is at the top of the sport -- if you ignore the weird ending to the gane bout you can see that jones looked ridiculously sluggish at that weight !
At the end of the day just because Alex isn't a wrestler, doesn't mean Jones can easily take him down. He still has to shoot and not get kneed in the face
