The fact that you can customize flatrides and coaster trains is just absolute madness. What I gather from the trailer is probably an upgraded tegicam/plipcam and colourable rocks which is also a big deal, at least to me lol
Customising rides is a dream come true! I’ll spend so long on these! 😍 Flexicolour faux rocks have been introduced in the Aquatic Pack of Planet Zoo and have been a huge hit ever since! I’m super glad they’re bringing that idea to the Nautical theme’s rocks!
Probably the biggest feature I’d want from a sequel were those customisable coaster trains and flat rides. Now I’m hoping for flat rides you can theme really well. With Efteling as my home park, I’d love the Vekoma madhouse, or the soon opening Intamin Dynamic Motion Stage. Those would be flat rides that would lend themselves especially well for good theming, sequencing, storytelling and special effects.
@@jarmoliebrand2005 absolutely! We need Madhouses, I’m a big fan of them too! My favourite one’s Hex at Alton Towers! I can also appreciate Villa Volta for being the first :)
@@YannBK1608 I’d love to have a Madhouse flatride ‘skeleton’ in the game. And then you could proceed to build an room around it with the (flat) ride customising feature. And then program the room to rotate a certain way and add effects and import music. Imagine Hex or Villa Volta recreations. A madhouse would be fun to sequence, I think, the way you can already sequence flat rides in planet coaster. Swinging, almost inverting, making full rotations, or stalling like Hex does, would all be super fun to utilise. I’ve always loved Villa Volta since I was young so this is a ride type I hold dear. New videos have been released about the inside of Danse Macabre. And I think such a flat ride could also be really fun to customise and theme in planet coaster 2. Maybe there are some other flat ride types I’m missing here, that also lend themselves well to intricate theming. The Intamin Dynamic Motion Stage can rotate, change elevation by 3 meters, tilt like… 25° and the individual seats also rotate. It could be really cool, but perhaps also a bit of a pain in the buttocks to program the seats individually. Perhaps another fun ride type could also be a walkthrough (yes, it’s not really a ride). But it could be nice to build some sort of walkthrough (maybe a maze, maybe some relaxing forestry areas) that guests could interact with. An attraction the game could count as an actual attraction, rather than just scenery.
Same here! I have gathered 3612h over the last two years on this game, and not only that, it saved my life! I’m so happy that this franchise will go on for another decade at least!
"they must have had an incredible amount of work to put in that feature" (scalling) - Lol! Scaling might be the one function that actually doesn't require much work at all. Scaling is already part of any game engine, it's a very old, very basic feature, even in free software. They just had to make the feature accessible to the players. I assume they did not add it to the first game, because some players would use high-poly objects and make them so small, that the geometry count wouldn't be justified anymore, because if you use lots and lots of small little pieces that contain unneccessary geometry, your PC will explode at some point. So I guess there will be limitations for certain objects in terms of scaling down, and also in terms of scaling up, because there might be issues with visibility hitboxes or draw distance. in PC1 the hitboxes were 8x8m, so i really hope they upped it to 16x16, because then we would be able to create larger custom objects via TMTK
@@TheEmbrs yeah, I’ll let you explore the channel in order to understand why I like original ideas rather than IPs, but the gist of it is that I like to create my own storylines and ideas even if they’re similar to existing things at times, I find it fulfilling! I’d still use the pieces if such a DLC were to come out, but never the really recognisable stuff the same way I never used Slimers or the ECTO-1 in PlanCo 1 🥰
I"m looking forward to what else is going to be announced. I like the improvements, and i know it's major when it comes to engineering the game, and bringing out a new game makes sense/is needed. i would like to see some practical gameplay when it comes to managing queues by adding/removing trains. train maintenance, closed periods for rides to be maintained and more playable scenarios. All and all looks promising and can't wait for the 31st of july :)
@4:12. that is exaclt the kind of thing i want to build. And the ability to be able to make much better looking exit gift shops etc. The hole in the wall shops are really bad for realistic looking indoor shops. The food shop truck that you saw we have those in Planet zoo their stationery and basically you stick one of the trucks there and then you plop in a stand inside of it and then it's basically like a food truck.
Look again, it’s something different than the shop counters, it’s slightly elevated! I’ve played Zoo enough to recognise that it maybe something else entirely, we shall wait and see! 👀
@@YannBK1608true it's possible that they could have updated it, considering they've been working on this probably for a while now and they've implemented and wanted to update certain things that they've done for Planet zoo and for the first iteration of planet coaster.
