Anytime you face a top meta deck with random stuff, you can bet you'll almost everytime either A. Draw a ton of lands or B. Get land stalled.

Hey I watch alot of your videos and I know you do mostly historic but I have a doom foretold standard deck I made myself. Its janky but good and I think you would enjoy it.

Wizards of the Coast, by keeping ugin in the game, is basically saying that it's viable to make a 56 card deck and then shuffle in four $20 bills. I'm still not sure who's worse as a human being: the person who decided to make ugin legal, or the person who decided it was okay to put ugin in their deck.

@@rossomex12 kiddo, all of the eldraine mythics are much worse. 99% of the time the ugin player is going to actually hit 8 mana in order to play him, and quite frankly if you're playing up to that point you've already lost the game against control. Quite frankly I have no idea why people complain about ugin so much and not about the great henge, it's literally a $65 card.

Day 105 It is my theory that all the Ugin players are not human beings, but bots. Think about it. Ugin is so boring to play, they always play the exact same deck, and they never concede. (even when playing against a control deck that already got out it's win condition/ infinite card draw) What human being would subject themselves to that? Not a Silundi Vision + Approach of the Second Sun player.

Good theory, but I don’t think so, man. People are more worried about winning than showing off any original ideas. As for Ugin users plowing on despite it being obvious they’ve lost, I’d imagine they’re not even registering that they’re fucked. Those decks aren’t difficult to run and it shows.
@@doclumiz1 That is all true (and I never really believed this it's just a joke), and I do admit that as of now there is no incentive for these bots to exist at all in this game seeing as there is no way to gift/ trade gold, gems, or wildcards. If there was though I'm pretty sure that the idea of hundred's of mindless bots floating around playing Ugin decks 24/7 would be pretty reasonable, seeing as how a system like that would open the doors to backwater websites that let you but those commodities, much similar to the problem WoW has had for a long time.

I'm so happy I'm reading comments now that are all saying what I've said since the first day I started playing Arena, that being that the algorithm was the worst thing they could've done. It's a card game, an RNG will always work better. Trying to create "non-games"... always creates more non-games.
Some decks can go 2 ways:
1) Ramp ramp ramp Ugin, I win.
2) Ramp ramp ramp no Ugin, I lose.

If you have 4x of a card in your hand, you have a (basically) 40% chance of drawing it in your opening hand. So I agree, this game is all about opening hands. But since WoTC has murdered MTG, most decks just have land and 4x copies of the cards they want. So it ends up giving you like a 30% chance of drawing the perfect hand if you design your deck properly. Which is dumb as fuck.
