  • A DETAILED review of Marriott's Grand Chateau in Las Vegas Nevada. This is a Marriott Vacation Club hotel located just one block from the Las Vegas strip, near the Planet Hollywood hotel. Although it is a "timeshare" they do rent out rooms hotel style when there is availability. If you want a room with a full kitchen and a clothes washing machine, this is your hotel!

Great review. Booked a villa as soon as I finished watching video, great price and location is really close to all the action. Strip hotels are going down in room amenities no fridge only mini bar with ridiculous price drinks and snacks. I'll bring a bunch of groceries for my 3 day stay and save.

good review, thank you, quite detailed. i concur that a hotel breakfast is the only way to go, especially when you are on holidays. ive stayed in residence inn's, new york, florida, la, etc, and although their breakfast offering is quite basic, it is a reasonable breakfast. the best hotel breakfast fyi that ive encountered is hilton, and a very close second with sheraton. hilton is amazing, anything and everything you could want, and all great quality.

Don't diss The Carriage House, it's right next door to the Marriott, I own a timeshare there it was given to me by my in-laws. Never a resort fee never have to pay for parking. The Carriage House is on the tail end of their latest room update. Self parking only, I always park in the back, it's Shady there most of the day. Small Lobby makes it easy to get right up to your room. If you want to be close to everything but want some peace and quiet back in your room, you will enjoy The Carriage House.

    • @brionsohn2705
      @brionsohn2705 Před rokem

@@YellowProductions Actually there isn't an Expectation to tip, However, it is a Nice thing to do.. I usually will give a couple of $$ each time they bring the car.. The Owners association for the Timeshare pays for the Valet Services.. (NOTE: this is NOT a hotel it is fully a Marriott Vacation Club Timeshare, Marriott just rents their unsold availability via their website).. I own two weeks at this particular resort (1-2BR and 1-3BR) and travel to the resort generally about once a year, sometimes twice... I will admit that the speed of the Valet service has gone down proportionately with the increase in the number of people that stay at the resort and we generally try to plan our days so that if we have to take the car we only do it once for the day.. also DON'T try to get your car at Checkout 10am or check-in 4PM times.. you will be waiting forever... Currently if you really want to you can i believe still park at the planet Hollywood across the street for free but that may have or probably will change soon as the days of Free Parking in Las Vegas are pretty much over, Especially on the South Strip due to the Stadium and the Arena.

These washer and dryer are the deal. Washed clothes between stays around our vacation tour of Cali and Nevada. Such a great hotel. We stayed in the small villa room which is unbeatable value in low season such as February. Wow. Agree with Chris 100% on the valet parking. A self parking agreement with nearby resorts would have been of tremendous benefit for the guests.
The concierge tried to persuade for the morning sales presentation. Kind of not really expected from a respected brand.
Per Chris' recommendation hit the ex Jean Philipe pastries places at Aria.

Hello, you forgot to mention the Activities Room. That is one place that a lot of people leave it out because they are unaware it even exists. There is a whole department dedicated to coordinate events for the owners and guest. The Grand Chateau may not serve complimentary breakfast but they do have morning mimosas, chocolate tasting events, wine and cheese social, Harry Potter parties, coffee tasting, Latin nights, wine down nights, dive in movies, the drinks of the day (cocktail of the day& non alcoholic cocktail for everyone out there that doesn't drink)which are ALL COMPLIMENTARY if your staying there. There are so many more activities that you can check out if you take an activities guide when you check in or if you walk around the property and scope out the Team or the Activity Room. For the FAMILY, there may not be a concierge lounge but there is an activity center where there are game boards, game consoles, air hockey machines, foosball tables and even a projector screen for movies cough* cough* Disney+. All FREE to all guests.

Great review on the hotel! The valet-only parking would also be something which I would also not care for. Other than that, the hotel looks really nice. Although on a much smaller scale, I've stayed at a couple of hotels last year such as the Hyatt House where they serve as both hotels (I only stayed at one for a night) and extended stay hotels where people can stay for days to weeks which also have a small kitchen and utensils.

Been to LV twice, due to me knowing MAR employees I managed to get a reduced rate at the Grand Chateau. I like MARs anyhow due to them being the first chain to eliminate smoking rooms. I love this location, it's actually too much hotel amenity-wise for a schlub like me. This place is more my speed compared to the other MAR--The Cosmopolitan--because me and new-money / Daddy's-money types aren't my demographic.

I love this resort. I would give it 4 stars min, but it’s 4.5 in my book. I stay for a week so if you stay in a hotel room for a week with no kitchen you’re spending a lot on food because you do not have the option to cook. Washer and dryer are nice because you can wash mid trip and also wash before you go home. It’s really for a family of 3 or 4 because the sofa is a pull out couch with private access to the bathroom. You’re entitled to your opinion but to give this beautiful resort 3.5 out of 5 because of no self parking….. oh, and the valet parking is included. Not 20-75 a day you pay for some self parking. These are no full restaurants on site, but you are across the street from the miracle mile mall. (It has everything).

This timeshare was originally opened in 2005 and the style was French Countryside (hence Chateau) over the past few years it has been going through a refresh.. The room in the video is a new build in Tower 3, the rooms in Tower 1 and 2 are getting refreshed to match Tower 3.. and then they will probably start the whole process over again. So basically some of the decor is from 2005 (generally you see it in the Bathrooms and kitchen hard items (tile, fixtures, etc...))

I don't understand how he could rate the room based on Hotel amenities. Also, the reduction in rating based on 'free', 'complimentary' parking seems like you really needed to search to find something you couldn't like. I would like to know the price, but it doesn't matter.

It means that multiple owners have purchased into the property and own the units.. Marriott Owns a good portion of the units and Manages the Property but it is actually Owned by individuals who essentially share the property. Personally I own two weeks at this particular property.

I gave it 4 and 1/2 stars because it didn't have a mini store to buy supplies in. Come on man you gotta have that if your off the strip and away from stores to buy things at. So in other words bring your own. The rest of the room and the wait for a vehicle is nothing. I have stayed at smaller hotels and had to wait 15 minutes for your car. Big deal. Get over it. Next time I am in Vegas for something and take the family this is where we will stay. If they have a room available of course.

Best Westerns all have a great free breakfast but it's a hotel room. We just stayed at Marriott Grand Chateau 1 bedroom King Villa 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. It was about $130-140 a night but we reserved through Chase Rewards, no resort fees. We have a timeshare and are used to taking all of our food with us and going out occasionally. The Marriott deserved more than 3 & 1/2 stars in my opinion. We did have an updated room though with views of the pool. We plan on going back.

There is a Target with enough groceries to cook a good breakfast. There are shuttles that go to the grocery store or if you drove you can hit Walmart of the grocery store (10 -12 minute drive) the plus side to a full fridge is you can take leftovers and have room for them! I stay for a week with my mom and sister and niece and girlfriend. And my cousin stopped by (had room for them to sleep in a bed). It was the 2 bedroom lock off villa. It you’re staying 2 days, you might or need everything here. But, if you’re staying a week with 4 people…… you need this in your life. We partied in the room 16 people deep. Chairs for everyone, no one cramped. I’m sorry if this seem like an attack, it’s not meant to be.

$5000 to $10,000 easily in a five day trip to Vegas that's just to stay in a nice clean descent property that is also secure...If a young women or man comes up to you and starts to flirt with you, chat or make small talk your probably being hit on or asked if you want to make a date with a prostitute...yes I was shocked at first but got desensitized after a few more encounter like this one.
