Yellow Productions luv the videos last year was my wife and i first time going to Las Vegas we stayed at Planet Hollywood and had a ball. Thanks for your insight im booking another visit in March. Keep up the excellent work
What about new York New York?
Please explain why guests are expected to pay this "resort fee?"
The Harrah's recently renovated Valley Tower is definitely best bang for your buck!
Good choices. I stayed at the TI several times as was always happy there. I also think the Mirage is an awesome pick for the price. Another great vid Chris...keep posting!
This made my day! Another great video. 😊This is definitely one of the best CZcams channels.
Great professional work as usual, thanks for all you do for us travelers.
Another great video. Thanks for this. Have watched your channel for ages and all great videos. 😀
Thank you so much for making this video and listening to my request from a few months ago during your stream. It really made my day. Hope to see another vid soon!
My pleasure! :)
Stayed at Marriott Grand Chateau in November 2019- loved it and although it’s not cheap there are no resort fees, excellent location and the apartment style is good value.
I really like your videos on your travel adventures, keep up the great work.
I absolutely love your videos, Chris! You do such an excellent job and you are genuine and personable. Will be in Vegas next week and your videos helped us plan and decide where to stay. Just wanted to say thank you!
Right on.. thanks Kris..enjoy Vegas!
Amazing place for anyone to see no matter where you stay.
Hard to imagine the workmanship involved in creating the place.
Great video champ 😜
Thanks Mick!
Oh, the Paris! Wow that view! Thank you!! 😍
So glad you came out with this. I'm staying at the T.I this march and glad to know it made number 2 on your list
Nice!
me toooo
Always enjoy whenever you do a Vegas video and Luxor is my usual stop when I go to Vegas glad someone else appreciates it as much as I do
Thanks Jason!
thanks Chris !!! we are heading to Las Vegas this Sunday and staying at the Sahara based on your recommendation a couple of vids ago... I didn't realize they had a monorail stop, which made it really attractive !
My wife and I stayed at New York, New York and found it to be a nice stay, atmosphere was upbeat, value was great and the location i think was on the better end of the strip where it seemed a bit more lively.
I remember staying at the Circus Circus manors as a kid and holy crap was my mom mad at my cousin for choosing that!
I always thought the "resort fee" is a rig off ...... why don't the just factor it into the cost of the room instead on hiding it as a seperate fee ?
I know, right?! There's a lawsuit about it.
Its a sneaky way for hotels to be higher on the search list when using booking sites (when searching by low price) and they save money by only paying commission to booking sites on the price, not the resort fee
/\ Combination of that, comping, and taxes
Totally agree
Treasure Island always makes me think of the movie "Miss Congeniality 2" with Sandra Bullock & Regina King :) The ending scene was shot there where the boat is. T.I. also brings back great memories of mine and hubby's babymoon summer 2018 when we went there to watch Mystere by Cirque du Soleil. Amazing show! Can't wait to be back in Vegas when all this covid craziness is over!
I was about to take my study break..thank you for the video! :D
My pleasure to divert you from something productive :)
Thank you for the great videos, always brightens up the day. Heading to LA and Vegas soon. Would you spend a day in california adventure and 1 day in Disney? Or just 2 days in Disney?
The harrahs really works for me , it has the best location on strip. A good and classic casino, and all the rooms are renovated
I’m going to be there this summer
@@travelingwithhunter4383 it’s haunted
Just stay there a week ago, it was not the best choose to stay at Harrah's. Not all the rooms are renovated. The only good thing is the location.
Me and my wife stayed at the linq and it was amazing right at the center of the strip in front of Caesars palace
Damn man thank you so much for this video. Im going here next month and didn't know which hotel was better.
5:35 It's sad when free parking on the Strip is described as "pretty neat."
I park at the Palazzo self parking is still free there...but yes you are right
It is pretty sad that 'Free Parking' is listed as a selling point... it's ridiculous that the hotels have to nickel and dime you for everything. That being said, if you have a certain status on your rewards, you can get free parking at multiple resorts - for example, I have Pearl MLife Status, so I can park at any MGM Property for free using that card.
@@apriladams4596 It reminds me of the old unknown comic joke:
"Why does a dog lick himself? Because he can!!
They do it because so far, they've been able to get away with it. But they have sacrificed long-term customer good will for a short-term boost to the bottom line. Sooner or later, the customers won't put up with it any more, and then they will pay the price.
Great Video Chris! We stay at the MGM Grand (can't get my mom to try another hotel lol) and we got comped 4 nights this year. They send some great deals to email for MLife Rewards. We got the Stay Well Executive 2 Queen Suite!
Always love a good Las Vegas video from Yellow Productions
Nice
Chris,
Amazing work as always!
On most of my past Vegas excursions, I love to start with a breakfast at the two places you mentioned in the Paris Hotel. I always get a Ham and Cheese Crepe at the Le Creperie, complementing that with an Apple Turnover from the JJ Boulangerie bakery next door.
I've always had good stays at The Luxor. The theming is some of the best in Vegas still! I do miss the cheesy movie ride and arcade though :(
vgv
p.s. Hey, you forgot to mention Avengers Station at the Treasure Island... Hulk angry! :)
Excellent! I will be going to Vegas this year! Thanks for the reviews.
Thanks Pete!
You are totally right about "Treasure Island" - the location is off the charts, and free parking is so rare these days :-)
Pretty neat is an understatement!
I have read that the buffet is REALLY good. You?
Just stayed at the TI and loved it. Excellent location, very comfortable beds, pillows & sheets. Bath linens were just ok. Gilley's was dead every time we walked by.
If you are staying Sun-Thurs, you can ask for the TV special which has low rates and the option of declining the resort fees. For morning coffee, I recommend avoiding the two Starbucks on the TI property, and instead take the skybridge to the Fashion Show Mall. There is a Starbucks there that greeted us by name and knew our drinks after just one visit.
Stayed at the remodeled Sahara/SLS last year and it was fine. Overall higher room quality than TI, but location is remote so you will have to factor monorail tickets into the cost.
I agree about TI is nice. one of my favorite places on the strip. Overall i prefer downtown places. But then i do not need expensive fancy rooms to have a great time in vegas.
We love staying at The Luxor. We stayed there the very first time we went to Vegas and we always stay at least a few nights there each visit.
I like the simplicity of Luxor, it's not a maze like some other hotels.
HMMM. MAZE! Good point,right there.
That is a good point. In so many other hotels, I find myself getting lost and needing to ask someone how to get to a specific place within the hotel, but never with Luxor.
Stayed here this past week sucked that it was hard to look out the window other than that I did like the simplicity like you said on getting to our room
@@IsnanaDayton I agree it's aggravating trying to look out the windows of the Pyramid rooms, I say Tower room or no room. They basically have regular floor to ceiling windows, feels much roomier too.
EA LEATHERS But they do that other resorts across the world to yes it does seem a little bit ridiculous because you’re not staying on an ocean front in Cancun helping the erosion of the waters with your money and keeping the place clean I do wonder what the money is used for from these resorts in the community of the strip of Las Vegas Roads repairs plumbing imagine how much plumbing they need for that place it would be good to see actual numbers of what the actual resort fees are for but I just want to remind you that if you stay in Italy even an Airbnb they charge extra fees in Cancun timeshare to Florida.
We really like the, Royal tower at the Excalibur, clean, low rates (and often free with only the resort fee Monday night through Thursday night if you have been playing with your MLife players card on past trips). Location is good, wondered when you last stayed there.
Can't believe at least one of the Flamingo's/Harrah's/Linq is not in this list. Their location and the always far more reasonable prices than Caesar's etc. are pretty much no brainers. We just stayed at the Flamingo and while it wasn't super fancy, it was definitely a great room for the money. The resort itself is okay (like all of the mid-level places) and the upscale Caesars and Bellagio are an easy walk across the bridge.
Thanks Chris,we might reconsider where we are staying next year!
Happy to help!
I got a very nice suite at the Flamingo for under $50 plus the resort fee. Great view of the strip, except for the fact that it was in the middle of that big Donny and Marie sign. You can still see out the windows, but through a mesh.
Might check out the Cromwell. Walked through their casino area, but didn't wander to any other sections of it.
What I liked about that area, is that it's right around the center of the strip. I'm not one to go to any place fancy to get food, so the cheap eats that are to be had nearby worked just fine for me. There's the area leading to the High Roller with food, including an In and Out, and between the Cromwell and Paris there's the Grand Bazaar Shops.
Couldn't have come at a better time, thank you :)
Love your videos!
Checked out yesterday from Marriott's Grand chateau. Terrific stay. Worth every penny.
Carrot Top is there in the Luxor on residency! He was fantastic! Omg he was hysterical! So nice, too! I saw the Egyptian theme & it was beautiful! I took pictures with me in front of the statues! Ok, will stay there next time. Thank you! Love Vegas! 😍
Love the JC ask for Carol
For me i always stay at Stratosphere they’re rooms are so awesome!there fee is about $35 I believe but my family only likes to get the rooms with a view because it offers a empty fridge that you can use.We once did stay in the lower levels they weren’t bad and they offer non smoking rooms and that whole level smells nothing but fresh. You also get a discount if you decide to go up the tower I think it’s about half the original price!I recommend!!
We stayed in the luxor in November and loved it, would definitely recommend it 👍
Thanks for the report on the Luxor!
Another really good video of yours, as usually yours are.
Thanks 54ripster!
Love your videos. Can’t believe that Bally’s wasn’t on the list. It’s my favorite. Great location and connected to Paris and renovated recently too. Mgm is another good one for the price but not as good location. I think flamingo might be better since remodel too.
Thanks for the extra tips!
Hi Chris! Can I meet you over there in May? Good content 😄👍
I stayed at the Super 8 last time and man it was luxuriously appointed! I had a ball!
Staying at the Grand Chateau on the 27th!!!! So excited and staff has been so accommodating over the phone
Betsy B I’ll be there on the 28th! I’ll see you there lol
Hi there Chris I just bought a place for myself in a 55 plus community I'm so excited I watch all your videos. I don't gamble but I'm going to be checking out all the wonderful restaurants especially the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan? Have a good day
Awesome Yvette! Here's my Vegas Playlist for all my vegas videos in one easy to watch place: czcams.com/play/PLOVadUHX1B-JzE5fiVleugu6HTYLsr2sk.html
Paris with a view of the tower and B. Fountains is awesome. Great corner of the strip.
Your reviews are so to the point and you make clear distingtion between 'this is fact/ observation' and 'this is what I think' and that is so helpful. You are VERY VERY good at what you are doing... I don't really understand the Yellow thing but what the heck... if that makes you happy, then fine. ...and I DO like the goofer/ hoofer/ moofer Panda, or whatever it is called. You Mr Yellow are a great man!!!
Thanks Peter! I appreciate the kind words! The yellow thing comes from when I was younger I used to drive a yellow car.. so everybody just called me "Yellow" as my nickname.. it carried forward to the channel
Im rolling with the Linq. Prime location exactly in the midle of the strip. Great Restaraunt like Hash House A Go Go inside and all right next to the Linq Pramonade with the IN n Out and all kinda other goodies and shops and the Ferris Wheel. Cant beat it best bang for ya buck.
Great list!
Thanks Matthew!
For my fellow smokers, MGM resorts no longer have smoking rooms. We always pick a Caesar’s entertainment brand hotel. Flamingo, Harrahs, Linq and Bally’s all have good deals when you book direct and most of the times you can get a comp room if you book directly through the hotels website. We always stay at the flamingo to get the most bang for our buck and a great smoking room w/ a fridge and view.
Good to Know
I stayed at the Flamingo last week and my room's fridge was ancient. Fortunately I didn't need to use it.
@@kvom01 Flamingo is a dump
I stayed in Bally's in January and it was great...stayed for about 5 days and with resort fees, it was only like 350!
I stayed at Paris when I was in Las Vegas. I thought it was great! Super nice staff, clean and great location!
Chris is the best when it comes to insider information on all the top destinations in the world! Thanks Chris..No More Circus Circus for me hahah🤷🏼♂️
Awwww :)
Paris is really a solid option. Great location, decent size clean room, free parking for guests and also connected to Bally’s.
I stay at the excalibur every time i go sure it is not the best but the people there are so friendly always have a great experience.
The Cosmopolitan for me love it
For more budget-friendly hotels, these all look like great options. I like the idea of staying at the Marriott Grand Chateau as you can use Marriott Bonvoy points to stay there! It is cool that some of these hotels offer free parking, but I have a feeling it is just a cover-up for the resort fee. Regardless, it is still a nice perk!
Hah.. yeah.. a bit of a bait and switch
GREAT VIDEO THANKS
I stayed in TI for my first trip to Vegas. Brilliant hotel, great location and a lot to do. Maybe not one of the more popular one’s but I loved it!
Nice!
Hey Chris, I stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms at Alexis Park recently and it was very nice. Under $100 and one of the lowest resort fees in town.
Luxor was great value and felt really clean and safe. Close to bus stop, rooms comfy, nice food
Just stay at the luxor from January 3-6. It was better then expected. The casino floor was full of many games and i liked. Already planned another stay during the summer
I'm glad to see others mention Linq hotel, I think that place is a solid deal and location. I'd disagree with Cromwell though, it's a beautiful hotel (i've only stayed there once) but it can be pretty pricey. Also random fact, they don't have an ice machine, I had to call front desk for someone to bring me a bag of ice. This was a few years ago so I'm not sure if they've changed this.
I had recently stayed at Planet Hollywood and i absolutely enjoyed it hot a nice hotel room nice and big large bathroom as well. Next time i go back I'll definitely stay there again
In my opinion, the Mirage is my favorite (other than Riviera of course)
Polo Towers...never heard of it. Gonna check it out. Thanks.
My favourite has always been Plaza Downtown with its excellent prices and very good gaming rules like Single Zero Roulette ($15min), 3:2 BJ($10 Minimum), 10x Odds and Triple Field Dice($10/15 min)
This is lowkey one of the most underrated channels on CZcams
Thanks Paul!
100% agree
I agree with you, treasure island if awsome
Excalibur is a great hotel for the cost. Sure it isn't fancy but I have stayed there several times over the years ang been very satisfied. I would actually choose it over the luxor.
I agree. I stayed there for the past 2 years and I was completely satisfied.
Great videos! Just Sayin. Congratulations. From mtw- musician in L.A. Played in Vegas at Stratosphere back in 2002.
Been to Vegas like around 20 times. Rio, MGM, Treasure I, Wynn, others. I Probably like Stratosphere best. Cheers!
Thanks Celeste!
I stayed at the Excalibur a couple of weeks ago and honestly, it wasn't that bad.
Thanks for the report!
I stayed there last week, and I agree, it’s not half bad. Don’t understand all the hate...
I stayed there before (2 years ago) was a great hotel, room was really nice and clean
Same here. It gets so much hate but no everyone wants to spend 200$ a night for a room
I met my wife there 25 years ago...she was our blackjack dealer! :)
We take a family trip every summer to vegas and usually stay at Rio due to the room size for our big family, and I look forward to your Vegas updates. The only thing I'm starting to hate is the resort fees are more than some of the room rates now. Rio is great for families due to the location, you can drive to the strip in less than 5mins and park free at Palazzo, plus you can go get food anywhere including a regular grocery store without the price and fighting crowds/traffic to snag something like pizza hut, tacobell etc... parking is still free there also
Yeah.. resort fees are out of control
I’m a local and that was good information.
Thank you.
How about five best non gaming hotels ?
The monorail also goes to the Sahara, so easy to get to the Strip.
Did he speak of the monorail? Are you confusing that with the west side tram, which he discussed and showed?
Stayed at Excalibur in 2016, had no problems. Pool was nice, room was clean and big enough.
Buzz words: Big. Clean.Nice.
I got so happy when you mentioned Polo towers. Why? Because my grandparents always stay there when we visit. So, I've grown to say it is my favorite building in Vegas. And we stay there too. Forgot to mention😅
I love all of these
Back when I was a road warrior and someone else was paying, I preferred the rooms at the Venetian above all others.
A great, useful video.
Thanks NothingMaster!
I'm thinking of maybe going to Vegas later this year again Chris. I have stayed at the Luxor and it was pretty good. At least the air conditioner going on didn't wake me up all night the way it did at the Excaliber!
I can't stand those air conditioners that turn on and off all night
We stayed at the Luxor 2 yrs ago, great stay for the low cost.👍
Thanks for the report!
I love your panda! My bear travels with me too!
My favorite is Venetian but I stay at Treasure Island when I want to safe money. I really like the rooms , location and the casino. It's not low budget at all.
i always go to venetian. I love the Italian theme and aesthetics. the front entrance has an elegant piece of artwork on the ceilings and has amazing customer service, awsome varietys of pools, different suites, and food. my favorite cafe in venetian is Grand Lux. there bread and butter is DELICOUS!!!!! but the hotels he listed out seems nice and cool too! And something to know is u might not wanna stay at the flamingo hotek on the Las Vegas strip. Once my uncle stayed there and the air conditioning smelt like dead fish! and there was blood stains on the carpet too.. but ur choice to stay at Venetian or Palazzo!!!
Thank you for this video me yellow production
My pleasure Golden St8!
Excellent!
Went to Vegas in 2004, staying in the Mirage. There's a Krispy Kreme at the top of the escalator in TI, accessible by tram.
Great video! What is your opinion about the Vdara hotel?
I have stayed there twice and I really like it, especially the rooms which have a view of the Bellagio fountains. As it has no casino it is quieter and it does not really attract the party crowds It is clean and fresh and you have to flash your key card to security to access the elevators. whuch I appreciate. Prices can be reasonable depending on the season and whether there's a big convention in town.
3:20 to 3:26 you do such professional and hard work to show the views
My first trip to Las Vegas, I stayed at the Luxor. It was great!
The Cromwell used to be the Barbary Coast Hotel/Casino years ago when I first started going to Las Vegas. That would've been a lock for top 10 values on the strip back in the day (stayed there many times back in the day).
I stayed at The Mirage, Flamingo twice and Circus Circus. My favorite is The Mirage because everything is super easy to find and Flamingo gave me a free upgrade to a room with the Bellagio fountains view. Also Flamingo hotel room has a huge bathroom with TV inside.
I have always liked the Luxor. The restaurants are pretty good and not crazy expensive . Last year we really enjoyed Diablo Cantina's Margaritas and Nachos
Thanks for the report yoloduran!
The Marriott Grand Chateau is my favoirte a little away from the Strip but it a time share and have the amenities needed.
The Luxor is huge. We stayed there in 2014, it was spotless clean and the bed was very comfy!!
Thanks for the report on the Luxor Coral!
