Thanks for uploading these albums
My Dad bought this Reader's Digest collection. I picked out many of the songs by ear on the piano. Being a girl in the 60's, I wasn't considered talented by my Dad. If I'd been a boy he would have proclaimed me a genius. I do miss him when I hear these songs again. And I appreciate hearing it with scratches and all.
hi:), thanks for the amazing material and the hard work that you put on it, just to know, did you transfer the vinyl to digital yourself?
I did the transfer myself but this was one of my earliest transfers and I was way worse at it then than I am now (and I'm still a relative novice).
How come you didn't try to wet it with water before recording?
How come the audio quality of this series isn't very good?
The more you play a vinyl, the more damaged the vinyl record becomes. The most damaged vinyls were the ones played the most. Obviously there are likely undamaged original masters somewhere but the music industry is a racket so good luck finding the record as a CD or cassette (cassettes are analog and don't degrade upon playback).
