Half-knowledge is dangerous. There were no protests for this line. Mumbai had a backbone long before Delhi. Metro is an additional feature in an old tradition of good, reliable public transport that Mumbai has enjoyed for nearly a century now. Delhi is new to the game.
Mumbai locals were already the back bone of Mumbai. The way mumbai has been connected through its Mumbai local is far greater than any city in the country 😌🙏

Very glad to see that finally metro 2A&7 started. Thanks to PM.MODIJI and BJP. for improving our transport infrastructure. Before 2014 we had only one Metro ,but today we have network of METRO LINES. It's due to proper planning and good foresight of our BJP government.
All this were already proposed and approved by previous Govt. Work was also initated thats why 1st metro was opened by BJP in 2014 when it came to chair.

It's sad but Chennai metro will have surpassed to become the second largest metro line in india until mumbai metro lines start operating
So happy that Mumbai metro lines are finally opening up! Hopefully, the infamous traffic congestion should reduce a bit. Looking forward to more metro lines in Mumbai! Love and respect from Chennai!

The earlier phase was not useless. It helped save a lot of trips on the east side. May be because you live on the western side, you did not get a chance to use it much.

Metro has made the life easy but only draw back is that the last metro towards andheri dn nagar is 10 pm they should increase the time until 12 in night to make life more easier as we leave late in the night from the office.
So dont leave late night. Get early relieving from your boss. Try to explain to him the issue you are facing. :)

Why the hell Mumbai metro fares are so high and nobody is noticing or concerned. Look at the Delhi metro Fares, they are affordable and similar to normal trains or locals, but Mumbai Metro fares are too high. Even Mumbai Monorail has affordable fares. I am from Mumbai and it concerns me why they are not reducing the fares? The fares should be similar to that of locals, normal trains, or to that of Mumbai's Monorails. The fares should be half of what they are currently. The cost for 30Kms must be around ₹15-₹20
I had completely lost faith that mumbai will ever get metro, I estimated that probably metro work will be completed by next life and that too testing phase 😂
