  • Professor Fink reviews the Onset of Action, Duration of Action & Mechanisms of Action of Drugs. Affinity and Intrinsic Activity (Efficacy) at Receptor Sites is explained. Agonists (Mimetics) and Antagonists (Blockers) are explained. The Dose Response (Effect) Relationship is presented, including the difference between Potency and Efficacy (Intrinsic Activity). Biological Variation is described, including the ED50 and factors affecting Response. Clark's Rule is presented. The Placebo Effect is described, the Effects of Stress, Drug Tolerance (Tachyphylaxis) and Drug-Drug Interactions.

    I love how this man teaches. He stresses things and explains concepts very well by repeating them multiple times in different ways. He doesn't assume that everyone understands the first time he says it.

    I've never seen anyone teach like this. So much passion and great explanation! I can't image anyone falling asleep in his lectures... It's so great that he acknowledges that the concepts are new to students and he makes it interesting and funny. Thank you so much prof!

    Professor Fink!! THANK YOU...THANK YOU!!!! Teaching in this fashion is an ART!!! You are truly gifted and I thank GOD right now that you are helping me in my pharmacology class. There is definitely something to be said for being able to give the "WHY" of the reasons things happen in layman's terms than just giving out information because you know it!

    Thanks. going back into school changing my degree from computer science to something more related to Pharmacology, I actually enjoy watching these videos even though I'm not even in school atm (summer, and besides, the only classes I have taken are basic electives/the easy bullshit)
    I was weary because I was intimidated by the subject at first, but I really enjoyed these lessons.
