I’m not amazing or anything usually top 20 percent on leaderboards but this game is just so precise. Like when I play other styles of racing it’s always more forgiving to me. But in f1 you have to be perfect or your ruin the lap, DQ, spin etc so easily

He Is The F1 Esports World Champion So Qualifying Should Be No Problem
What makes me most discouraged with most leagues and even F1 itself is the fact that the cockpit view is not mandatory, this view that everyone uses is so much less exciting even from the perspective competitiveness, as you can see how close your car's nose is to the rear of the car in front.
The problem with cockpit view in a game is that you can't turn your head or move your eyes like you can in real life. So unless you got a 3 monitor setup or a VR headset you've got basically no idea what's happening around you. Making a 3 monitor or VR setup mandatory is a huge barrier to entry.
@@antonsundin2974 bruh, you’re literally admitting this is an arcade game😂🤔 ah yes, i love when esports allows people to exploit the camera positions for an advantage. i agree esports should only do cockpit view from a perspective of competition and it just being generally harder to use, real f1 drivers don’t sit that high lol and it’s really unfair considering you can see literally everything, so much easier to hit braking zones/apexes on target.

1. The f1 games have never been pure simulator its always been a middle ground in between arcade and simulators... a common used term is simcade. So i guess iam "admitting" it lol.
2. I already addressed why cockpit view is not practical and why they use the podcast camera. Because in real life the drivers can move turn their head and move their eyes... an "unfair" advantage compared to ingame cockpit view lol.

@@antonsundin2974 it’s not even a middle ground… in order for it to even be somewhat of simulator would mean it would have to SIMULATE the real life driving, the car drives like shit, you get wheel spin in like 6th gear in the wet… Even Lando Norris first time playing the new f1 2021 was struggling super hard, also u watch in real life they don’t short shift as much as u have too in this GAME. only think it simulates is crowds and the look, only proper thing about the game is it graphics.
And again it’s kinda bullshit that F1 uses this game as entertainment on their main fukn channel and the drivers don’t even at least use the real camera angle….. i mean it’s the least they could do, or maybe switch games! Even AC has more a realistic tire model for F1 cars than this shit arcade game, even iRacing has a more realistic F1 car and it’s almost 7 years old… There’s no such thing as a simcade unless you’re talking about like in terms of Madden or something, but not racing games. It’s either a sim, or it’s a video game, there’s no in between when it comes to racing sims. I guess the biggest issue is the fact these guys like Jarno Opmeer get all this praise for playing a legit arcade game, and getting it broadcasted on F1’s channel, like bruh there’s so many other “games” out there that take actual racing skill, it’s literally almost impossible to lock up in a straight line as well on the damn game, it’s wayyyy to far off the realism spectrum to even be called a “simcade”.
