For those still having trouble, search in your settings: "Keyboard button on navigation bar" And toggle it back on (assuming it's off). And then when you go to type, press and hold the very bottom left. Icon displaying a keyboard and switch it to "Voice input" 💙💙 big ole pain in the booty sheeeesh

On the Samsung Galaxy S24 the microphone is now on the home button when you are typing. Bottom left corner of your phone

Hey I'm having same problem. I did all this and still nothing. It was there for a little bit after the update. Then it went away. It was looked in a new location after the update. Very bottom corner on the Left. But yeah sucks
I went under Settings, then General Management, then Keyboard List and Default, then I toggled/switched the Keyboard Button on Navigation bar to the on position. Once I went back to the keyboard of my phone to create a text, the microphone appeared again in the bottom left corner of the phone to the left of the three vertical lines.

I did all that you said and i still don't see that voice icon. I also don't know why samsung didn't add a red blink led light like my Lg stylo had. It was a great feature
It didn't work until I also turned on "keyboard toolbar" under general management > samsung keyboard settings.

The update moved the icon to the bottom left. That is something that obviously should have made a big deal about mentioning to us. I know they have the "what's new" popup usually that most of us don't bother to read but that they should realise that the microphone thing is SUPER important compared to whatever else. There should be a popup on its own saying that. I consider myself pretty phone savvy and I still didn't realise it was down there literally right next to the 3 main buttons cuz I never thought to look right there

In case you haven't found it, the mic is at the bottom left corner of your phone in text messages, and whenever the keyboard is visible on your phone.

It's on the bottom left of your original Three button back, page open option and home button area on your phone it's no longer on the keyboard look off the keyboard lower left......which aggravated the hell out of me because sometimes I don't like texting a long message!!!

I recorded an audio message in fb messenger but it disappeared and did not send so I thought I'd see if it was saved in my files on the phone but I fan find and folder with audio data.

Every few weeks the microphone symbol for speech to text dissappears. The toggle selection to fix this will not appear for me unless I manually search: Keyboard Button on Navigation Bar. If I go through the setting steps, "Keyboard Button on Navigation Bar" doesn't usually appear under the voice selections. This has been a regular hassle. The phone also regularly changes other important settings by itself, causing big problems and lost time. Overall, my LG V40 was a better phone. This Samsung is highly glitchy. Btw, the reset to default never works on my phone to solve this issue.
Mine was already on Samsung so I clicked on Google and the microphone appeared at the very bottom on the left thank you

this doesn't work for me. neither voice input shows a mic on the Samsung board, but the Gboard does have a microphone, but it has sucky emojs :(

I found it you know where the 3 lines are if your using Google voice in put it should be a keyboard click it I'd your using samsung voice input then it's a Microphone
@@Jackbnufc2000 yes, I discover that installing, Google's Gboard, which has the microphone on the bottom left, I uninstalled it and the Samsung keyboard microphone appeared in its place.

Ya, I have never figured it out, but I'll tell you a workaround I found:
Go to Samsung Keyboard settings - 'Swipe, touch, and feedback' - and then 'Touch and hold space bar' - and then select 'Voice Input'
Only thing I have found that works.

Thanks so much krox! The only thing that worked, because it is actually already there, just hidden in the lower left corner. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" must not be in the vocabulary of whoever came up with this format, certainly not an improvement.

I hate that they changed the location of the voice input for me on the 24 Ultra. Being right handed it's super inconvenient.

The mic button has been moved to the bottom row, placement is at the bottom left. I was very annoyed with this until I discovered it
Mine says (english), but its greyed out. I can download every other language, but not english... wtf??

I recently had the 6.1 software update on my S23. And ever since then, the voice input has not been available on the keyboard for CZcams and other apps.

This didn't work for me but I got it.
- go to settings
- type in keyboard
- select keyboard list default
- then select : keyboard button on navigation bar.
I've watched 4 videos, and all are wrong. If you have a Samsung, I have a Samsung 21 plus. 1. Go into settings and under General Management, scroll down to (Keyboard List and default) then click, (keyboard button on navigation bar)..Go back into your text or even CZcams and you'll see the mic symbol.
Another option for some that cant get this to work. under samsung keyboard settings, hit swype, touch and feedback and change long press on the spacebar to voice input.
I tried this hoping it would work, but this option is grayed out.
With some recent updates on on my A22 (6/21/2024) it seems they moved it the lower left next to main navigation controls. jeez.
This is not working for me, even if I try to select/Unselect each option...whether Samsung voice input or Google. In the past, when I would type a text, along with my keyboard was a microphone to allow me to DICTATE a message which my phone/text/keyboard would then TYPE OUT for me, in the text. But now, the only microphone option I get is to RECORD AN AUDIO message. But if I want a TYPED MESSAGE to be created/TYPED OUT from my own VOICE command, I no longer have that option....
Check the bottom left corner. It should be moved to the spot right next to your home and back button. I don't know why they're fixing things that ain't broken, but hope this helps.
This does not work with either setting Samsung or Google. Mine was on Samsung not none. After update is was gone. Most states are hands-free driving. This missing button will cause harm.

hooray I found it after two weeks. They moved it to very bottom of the left hand corner on the navigation bar. It's very faint. But it's there.
OK. Here's the F N FIX
GO TO SETTINGS..THE APPS.....then click 3 limes to the right.. then type in samsung keyboard.. .. THE click on storage.. clear data and cache... .. THE microphone is botton left had..

They have changed the location of the button. It's on the bottom left of the keyboard.

The secret was to HOLD the keyboard icon down to get the approriate menu..then the microphone appeared in the bottom left hand corner!!

Arrrghhh why samsung why? Ok, I found another helpful article. There's a teeny tiny keyboard icon at the bottom extreme left of the keyboard. Tap this, if you can even see this , and it opens up to voice input, tap that and the microphone pops up. Sheesh. If something ain't broke , don't fix it. So many steps in the place of one

For those who are still not able to see the mic, one thing which you need to do is :
1. Search keyboard list and default in setting
2. On top there is an option called default keyboard, click on that and check whether "show keyboard buttons" is enabled or not.
