I was born and raised here in WV, 15 minutes from Charleston. You did a great job. The house is quite accurate, especially with your description of the type of family that lived there. Unfortunately, a lot of grandparents are raising their grandchildren due to bad conditions that I won't mention. Even with all the bad, WV is a very beautiful state. Just wish others could still see the beauty of our state. Thank you.
Woo hoo WV I live about an hr from Charleston!!❤ 😀
I wanna go to West Virginia it looks cool
Country roads
Take me home
To the place
I beloooooong🎶
WEST VIRGINIA! BACK TO MOMMA!
you BEAT ME TO IT
I love that song as a New Yorker 😅
Not me watching this in my WV house built into a hill that I bought from an older couple whose granddaughter lived with them😂 Never felt so seen. Great job! Also, the cardinal is the state bird as well.
Nice stairway at the front😊
Thank you!
I totally agree!
Yeah it's really cute 😊💖
The stairway up to the house reminds me of how my house is a lot of house where I am in WV are on a hill and have the steps up to the house
Cant believe you did a west Virginia build without mentioning cryptids lol
When you do the California episode, I really hope you make a San Francisco inspired home. As someone who is from San Francisco and was so disappointed with the new world of San Sequoia, I'm looking forward to builds that just get the vibe a bit better. Loved this West Virginia build! Gonna go listen to some John Denver now. 🥰
I went to high school in WV and my Mom still lives there. You did a great job! The small, older house on a hill is perfect. The family story also rings true.
so glad to hear this!
Georgia has lots of adorable craftsman houses in the Atlanta area! If you want to build something in the craftsman style, look at homes in Decatur.
Can confirm; I've visited the Decatur area before and it's so quaint 😊
Whenever you do Michigan, you could do it in the new world as a reference to the Mighty Mackinaw bridge. Either way, the lakes, trees, and Michigan basements (unfinished basements with just junk and laundry like the McAllister house) are super common.
Cabin by the lake would be so cute!
yes! 100% accurate
I grew up on the border of West Virginia (but in Ohio) and frequently shopped, visited, etc. in West Virginia. This is a lovely representation of Appalachia, and I am thrilled to have stumbled upon your channel recently and found this gem of a series!!!
I love this series! I really hope you haven't given up on it! Sims4 builds tend to all look very idealized suburban, and the builds from this series feel much more authentic. It's a fun way to switch things up sometimes.
here’s another fun fact about west virginia we have a food thar you can’t find anywhere but here it’s called a pepperoni roll and it was first made for the coalminers on the coal camps
The cardinal was perfect ❤ it’s our state bird !
beautiful house, very well done with great research! One correction: "If you pronounce it Apple-lay-cha, I will throw an Apple-At-cha!"
Sacramento, California has plenty of craftsmen style homes, it's also the capitol, also a wide range of home styles. I highly recommend looking into inland northern California towns for cool styles.
i'm a more recent subscriber and your voice is so very relaxing to listen to! also i find it fascinating how you just *know* what pack the item you're looking for is in lol. your builds are absolutely amazing and am thankful for all the fun facts.
Another wonderful build! When you're done with all 50 states, I would love to see a save file with all of them assembled.
I'd love if you'd do North Carolina soon!! Most of our houses are homey and country like ranch houses. I think you'd really have fun building one! :)
Another idea for North Carolina is the Victorians in Raleigh - my favorite downtown area I’ve ever been to!!!
Love this- if you do California, I’d love to see some Art Deco LA inspired houses. Ones with the tile countertops and French windows.
As a West Virginian.. you did great! Also thank you for the facts. Some I didn’t even know! But the purple flowers you used are actually perfect since our state flower is the Rhododendron!
I love this. The Sims need to incorporate more homes like these
I love this so much. I live in WV, and I feel like this is a home I see a lot. You nailed it. Was also super cute to hear how you pronounce some of the cities. lol. Much love!
Fayetteville was my favorite.
Giiirl, how are you producing a video every day? You are truly inspiring ❤ Beautiful build (as always)
This build gives me strong sims 2 vibes and don't worry, that's a compliment. I am LIVING for this build
On the stair railing outside there's one that is completely white instead of with with the wood details
My dad and his family grew up in parkersburg, when u mentioned that as your inspo it warmed my heart. This house looks so much like my uncles , loved it!!!
Born/raised in the Appalachia (East TN) and have visited WV- you nailed it I'd say. Actually looks a whole lot like an air bnb I stayed in.
This house is PERFECT. I'm in PA but this could fit here too. I live in the coal mining region in the Appalachians. I'd adore if you did more homes like this! Favorite video yet!!
I live in the UK and something about this house really does give grandparents vibes
I'm a West Virginian, and you did a beautiful job! It looks like my parents house! The warm wood and green carpeting is right on the money!
This is just a suggestion, I was thinking that you could do a Canadian provenances? As a Canadian viewer I think that it would be really cool to see what you come up with! Love the build! 😊
I think that it would be a cool series to do after this one
I have lots of family in West Va…this is realistic. You should do VA! It’s sister. Va is so different beaches, plains and mountains! But specifically Northern Va is arguably the most different from the rest of the state because of Washington DC. I love this series and am a new subscriber. Your do talented!
this is beautiful and magical. you did an amazing job with the landscaping and terrain tools. congrats on 200k.
Southern California has beautiful Spanish style homes!

My heart hurts. I looked into the 500 year old tree and it said a teenager set fire to the base in 2007, and in 2010 they had to bring it down because the fire caused irreparable damage, so it became a safety hazard:(
Yes sadly that did happen to our beautiful tree. I was in 7th grade when it happened and it was the talk of the county if not the whole state. I live not far from Webster Springs. So when I heard her mention our tree I was like oh yeah I remember that.
Omg I love this build. Chicken coop on the raised yard is so cute. I wanna live here ❤
This is very well done. I live in WV, born and raised, and you nailed this build! I always love seeing my home state get some representation. Also don’t worry about pronouncing some of the places here wrong, the locals can’t pronounce the names correctly either😂. This build is perfect and I’m definitely downloading it soon. Thank you for showing my home state some love❤️
me 2
Great build! I love all the little details and clutter. I think a fun idea would be a family with triplets or opposite triplets as roommates.
I’m an Australian with family in the US who’s recently taken an interest in US history and geography, I’d really love to see more episodes of this series as it seems you’ve slowed down on making them.
Im so glad to see another part of the state series, I've missed it! Waiting for my home state of Missouri. Here's a fun fact that I think is super on brand for us here: Missouri is home to the first cow to fly on a plane. Her name was Nellie Jay and in 1930 she flew to St Louis to attend the International Aircraft Expo. Apparently she became quite the celebrity 😂 Missouri is also known as the "cave state" due to its over 7,500 recorded caves and many more that are largely unexplored and undocumented!
West Virginia seceding from Virginia to stay in the Union is just so iconic tbqh
This reminds me so much of my grandma's house! she lived in Iowa though. Very beautiful build.
This is such a cool build! I love the work you did with the terrain, like wow…I’m stunned.
Could you do a house from Georgia? Savannah has some stunning historical homes and lots of trees and green…I think it’d be a pretty build!
H-town born and raised. This house could exist in the Dub V. Thanks!
I love your speed builds! ☺️ Keep them coming please 🤍
I would love to see a Kentucky home, especially now that we have horse ranch! I love this series ❤
I’d love to see what you do for my home state, Iowa! There’s some really cool old homes in bigger towns and plenty of farmhouses à la American Gothic. But then you’ve also got places like the Amana Colonies with a strong German influence and Czech Village in Cedar Rapids (along with the oldest still-standing mosque in the US). There’s also a surprising number of Victorian/gothic houses around. I’ve been binging this series and it’s so fun, can’t wait to see what you do next.
This is so cool, I love how realistic it is!
I've been waiting for WV for so long!! You did absolutely amazing 👏 I'm born and raised here, and it really is auch a beautiful state, thank you for representing it so well ❤
This build is gorgeous 😍
As a person born and raised WV, I’ve been waiting to see what you would build when it came to our state.
Also, a grandchild being raised by the grandparents is a VERY common WV occurrence (myself included).
This build reminds me so much of all of my extended family's houses in Appalachia and the Ozarks. You're making me miss home lol
Congratulations on the 200k!!🥳 up to many more fans! Love this build, it has so much personality😍 and somehow the livingroom gives me Sims 1 vibes with the furniture and the carpeting!🥰🧡
So cute and cozy… And congratulations on the 200k subs !
I’m not even from WV but for some reason this build hits home. I love this!
This build is great I love the concept and all the WV facts. I love this series
West Virginia housing facts: because of water runoff from the mountains, the houses at the bottom of the valleys, or as we West Virginians call it "Hollers", are typically raised with the basement being above ground because of intense flooding. That way when a flood inevitably comes, only your basement is effected. You'll also notice that houses further up the side of a mountain and away from rivers and creeks don't have the raised basement because flooding is less likely to happen.
This video has me in my feels and is very reminiscent of my home state. Good job!!
Also, the cardinal is WV's State Bird, so that's why you would have read about it.
CONGRATS on the 200k!!
I've totally fallen in love with your state series ❤ I'm from Germany, so I'm loving all the facts you put in the videos 😍 I'd love to see an Alabama build as I've lived there for a year. I'd love to see what you come up with for that state ❤
this is so WV, nice job!
I've been loving this series, and this build is yet again another great one. But I gotta be honest... that one single fully white fence in the stairway to the front door was driving me insane the entire time! LOL
you never disappoint💖
this house is so cute!
if you do NY or maybe even CA, i suggest like a city and a rural home if youre up to it.
im from ny and its so varied the more out of the city you go
Ooo same! Big apple 🍎 area!
Congratulations on 200K subscribers!
Love the build. When you get around to New Hampshire, I recommend a white colonial or farm house with lots of land and trees.
CONGRATS ON YOUR 200K SUBSCRIBERS‼️ 🎉🎊🙌🏽
Great concept!! Intelligence 😍🥰 Appreciate it.
Love the build so creative! Your state series is so interesting ❤ Would love to see a Texas inspired home! Congrats on 200k you're a wonderful content creator you deserve it 😊
I love that older home vibe and you do it so well. ❤
I can SMELL this house 😭 I feel like the sims that would live here are the super fun relatives that are rarely visited bc they live so far lol
I've seen people say that the houses in California can be very different depending on where you are in the state. Maybe it's a fun idea to build a few tiny houses on 1 lot based for each (or a few) style of home you can find in California?
Congrats on 200k, you totally deserve it Gryphi! Also I think this house is really cute and as someone who lives outside the US I find your state series super interesting to learn more about the character, history, geography, & home design of the different places ☺️ before today all I knew about WV was that it is somewhere in the Eastern US, and the take me home country roads song 😅
What a fun series!!
Congrats on 200k Gryphi!! 🎉 Please go out and celebrate!🥳
Congrats on the 200k!!! You absolutely deserve it and more, you work so hard and make such lovely, relaxing content. You’re my comfort content that I watch on my lunch breaks 😂❤
I'd like to say you did a beautiful job on this build. Alot of people around here do have chickens and alot of grandparents raise they grandchildren. I also love hearing out of stateers pronounce the names of our towns. I live in Cowen which is not far from Webster Springs aka Addison. 0:02
The 1 tile closed off room beside the stairs would’ve been perfect for the washer dryer on top of each other, or like modular cabinets for storage and more clutter
WoW 😍❤ looks so comfy. You really captured that country feel. AND made it look comfortable and appealing using items and styles i dont even like. Great Job. 👏🏅
My grandparenrs live in rural west virginia, where pretty much everything but the church and the gas station are in double-wide trailers. 😂 Thats a very good representation of the few permanant homes in their town though.
Both of my Grandparents were born and raised in WV, and right before my grandfathers death, they moved back there. I can’t speak for all of WV, obviously, but the style of the house is a lot like my Grandmothers in Berkeley Springs.
these builds are always so fun to watch! I'd love to see your take on a Tennessee home with a nice, wide front porch. Nothing says summer in Appalachia like sweet tea on a porch rocker :)
I live in Wv & the house is very accurate, not sure what those houses r called but they kinda r like trailers.... on stilts LOTS OF THOSE HOUSES AROUND LOOLLOLO
it's called a trailer on stilts lol
@@flowingleaf1677That’s what I said
I love this series! I can’t wait for you to do Oklahoma
I would love to see Virginia! It's my home state and we have such a wide variety of styles due to the varied landscapes.
Serving Appalachian realness 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻 (but really it is spot on and I love the terrain manipulation)
So many of us asking for Texas but it’s such a huge state and populated in so many different geographic regions. California will be difficult to pick from too, I bet!
I’m just going to put this out there, a lot of us have laundry in the garage, and the garage isn’t for cars, it’s where you sit in camping chairs and begrudgingly listen to Margaritaville
Your builds are always so creative you deserve more than 200,000 followers!
I hope i get to see you do Maryland someday! Your builds are always so amazing ❤
I love your builds! I’m from Northern California and there a lot of beautiful Lawrence style homes along the coast with a lot of interesting landscaping and design elements! I’d love to see what you come up with with that ☺️
I dig your style. Just discovered you. Totally like it! Thank 😊
i’d love to see Ohio soon! specifically rural Ohio with huge emphasis on the farmlands. Ohio has brings in the most agriculture out of the entire US and contributes most to the economy in that field. All people seem to say about Ohio is “it’s so flat and nothing but cornfields! (which is 100% true 😭). Ohio not only has 20% of their people living in rural areas but also has the largest amish population in the US which is why i think it would be great to reference the rural-ness. references for rural Ohio homes could be in places like Degraff, Ohio and maybe Roundhead, Ohio! On lots of these home’s properties, farmers will pay the owners to use their land for farming so many rural Ohio homes have cornfields in their backyard haha. Would just be cool to see some representation of where I’m from since it’s barely on the map lol.
a young surfer space for california wound be awesome!!🥰
Love this build! Reminds me of home ❤️ You should do Nebraska next!
I don't know if you've already done California, but it would be so cool to do a Painted Lady-inspired townhouse! The Painted Ladies are a very famous row of houses in San Francisco :) Mediterranean architecture is also very popular here, especially in Socal.
This was so much fun! Excited to see Delaware!
Cali craftsman can be really fun! I built a Brady Bunch inspired house (the front exterior matched and the inside was inspired, because of course the set didn’t match the exterior on the show, but the hgtv special where the renovated the real house that was the exterior into the house from the set was helpful for this), and the Craftsman home from Zathura (I can’t remember the name of the city the real house is in, but you could look it up, because it has so many houses like that!)
This house looks so classic and beautiful!
I'm from Europe but I would really like to visit the US, so every "State Series" of yours build brings it a little closer to me.
I think North Carolina would be a really good idea too, I believe that there are some Victorian style houses in downtown so that would be awesome to see!
Thank you for the inspiration you bring to us in every build. ❤
aw thank you so much! Noted!
@@Gryphi ❤❤❤❤
Very different, but beautiful ❤ great job!
If or when you do MICHIGAN - please do a lake house! With a walkout basement and a doorwall. (Sliding door) Growing up in Michigan either your family or someone you knew had a cabin or house up in northern Michigan on the lake and that is what you did during the summer 😂
