If u slow it down there is no blur. I think that this is less of a testament to ps5 and more so the game itself. If it was a really fast load than the mini map would have disappeared for that half a second and the dialogue would have stoped for a sec as well. That building is probably accessible.

This was impossible in the PS4 version where there has to be a a lengthy Black Screen before Peter suddenly appear outside the building seemingly landing from a jump with no explanation of how he got out.

The bandwidth of the PS4 HDD was 50-100MB/s. In comparison, the PS5 SSD target is at least 5 GB/s. If games make use of the custom SSD controller however, it may hit 10 GB/s. That's a minimum of 100 times faster. Makes you think how far computing technology has come in 7 years (and how long it took for consoles to catch up)

This is and unfair comparison, i have played this same scene from spiderman miles morales on PS4 and there is no loading screen too. Insomniac really improved this in their latest game, but at least in ps4 there have been times when i can see pixelated textures for a second.
A lot of people praising the SSD for this transition. In reality it’s just clever loading while you’re in that room. The fact of the matter is, that transition from inside to outside in that same spot works exactly the same in the PS4 version.
I don’t know like sometimes I kinda like the long load screens because it gives you a breather when you have just hurt your thumb from spamming the controller a dozen times
There used to be this amazing button that worked on games from a time before loading screens. Games like Mario Brothers. It's called... "Pause". Gives you the exact time you need, without forcing anything on you.

I think this has more to do on how the game was programmed rather than the hardware difference. Ghost of Tsushima loading is extremely short on PS4 too, and it's an open world game as well

Yeah it isn't a load screen cuz there is none now due to the SSD. Its the same part in each game, you go in a hideout and load out of it into the main city. Making it a fair comparison, I personally can't see why there's so many dislikes. Also to add there leaked footage of The PS5 XMB to spiderman miles morales, it took 4 seconds to get to the main menu. Then the main menu of spiderman into the game, it took 2 seconds. Plus it was all from a cold start.

Literally no loading. He go inside and outside of building with no load time. For people confused, the blur was not the load screen, there was no loading screen because the PS5 is so powerful that it can load in an entire interior area while still having the exterior loaded also. In PS4, when you go inside a building, it unloads the outside to reduce lag and frame rate drops and to increase the overall gameplay experience. But on the PS5, you can just go from inside a building directly outside with no cuts to a loading screen, since it retains a portion of the outside world loaded and when you go swinging outside more, it’ll continue to load more of the map, so you don’t see any areas that look unloaded
To be honest the PS5 version doesn't look like a loading segment but rather an interior with an animation triggered event like when you would stop criminals from doing heist in the first game. Edit: Simply watch the playback at 0.25x speed.
