I was there. Someone told me that she does not have her voice, and I was like, "so? she always sings, even belts without her speaking voice", but we received more from her and I loved her more because of that.
she did have a free concert after that and it was EPIC. she did show us HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE!
One thing's for sure, she never lipsync ever in her career. coz other artists will surely lipsync and put some back up vocal performances from previous performances or even back up studio. she's so brave and fearless to admit that she doesn't feel okay that time. she's so genuine and so honest, she really love her fans, and that's a Legend, Regine Velasquez herself ❤️ QUEEN ✨
She is our queen. How can we leave our queen when she needed us the most. Her music lifted us up when we are in our deepest and darkness hours. At that time, she never received any sungle boo. The comeback concert after that was just a bonus for us, we really don't need it in the first place. But knowing our queen, she's very generous and we supported her at her comeback concert.
Regine was legendary and icon for us. Her monument in music will always mesmerize for us. She never be duplicated now and before.

Her first ever concert (her reaction to people was priceles) and this Silver concert is what I love the most of her.Actually, the red watch shes wearing on this concert is Booboo's (baby Nate) watch. It does not fit her dress but she never took it off throughout the concert. She said to give her strenght to continue performing on her worst condition. Silver Rewind Concert was the free concert she promised. She did come back so strongly, like a very poweful queen. She actualy doesnt need to prove anything anymore as we already know she's amazing. I totally agree when somebody said that Regine is someone who should always be protected and singing is what she loves the most doing and with that, We will love, cheer and support her always. Yes, she managed to finish the concert however some performances were either shortened or completely removed from the repertoire. And yes, she fulfilled her promise and did the same concert (with the addition of a few performances and tweeks) for free.
The first Silver concert was not abt her singing but her heart. Never heard any negative reaction from the people watching, we were mostly concerned as we felt that something was really off during the opening, you could see people whispering and looking at each other. It only proved how loved she is by the people. The audience did the singing part, as part of the crowd, I sang for her as she did for me over the last 2 decades prior to the concert. I told myself, this time, I'll do the singing. I guess it was all in our mind for the people inside the arena, we sang for her..
The free concert happened on the 5th of January 2013. It was called SILVER REWIND. The venue was held in MOA (Mall of Asia) Arena. The Arena's management then allowed Regine's repeat concert FREE OF CHARGE for the venue.

I have never been proud of Queen Regine. She showed us the different and reality part of being a singer. She can cancel anytime but she didnt. Those years of singing beautiful songs. It's very sad indeed. That's why after that, in the repeat concert, she gave it her all, and it was amazing. I'm really hoping for you to see "Regine sings on boy and kris part 2" i promise you will be impressed.
This video was a montage of what happened at the first staging of her Silver concert (when she lost her voice), and was used as the opening avp on the restaging of the concert a few months later, called "Silver Rewind."
All hands down, have you seen any artist around the world who had a circumstances like this, I guess not only here in the Philippines, and the rest was History, what makes me so awed on this concert was she was really humble and brave for telling infront of their face knowing that everything was falling apart. And when she regained and recuperated her voice, she had a repeat performance and all was stunning my respect to her. Lea Salonga almost also lost her voice while doing a run in broadway but she was helped it was not totally publicized but she said that in one of her foreign interview.
And she really made her promise come true. A true and honest person. That is true professionalism.
It was an opportunity for grace for her.. She was so focused on perfecting the concert she forgot the real reason of the concert which is thanks giving for the 25 years she's been in the industry.. Regine never loses her singing voice but only at this moment.. God works on mysterious ways sometimes.. This event really humbled her even more..

This was the start of her struggles as a singer. This era of her became a nightmare for all his fans. As a fan, i felt really depressed. Her on and off acid reflux started from here. It's still sad to reminisce. I was at this concert too and at the repeat.

I'm just sharing what happened there, her voice didn't go away, it just cracked because she just finished giving birth and celebrated her anniversary as a singer, that's why that happened, but before hand, many people defended them that they don't need to prove that she's already an Asian songbird. and we understand his situation.
I recall in this concert, her friends Vice Ganda and Sweet Lapus, went up the stage to lighten the situation that Regine cannot sing well. I recall it was hilarious. But, I think the GMA video will show it because Vice was already with ABS.
