Borahae! I am a singer/songwriter/producer that rediscovered my passion for music during the pandemic after hearing BTS. A wild musical journey ensued that reunited 2 childhood friends (me & Lucas). Regine sounds 10x better when you hear her live in person. Her voice sounds fuller and even more powerful. Her voice is still on the brighter side, but not shrill sounding at all like you sometimes hear here. Her voice is truly breathtaking in person. I will never forget the very first time I heard her sing live. I was awestruck the whole time. She's truly one of the greatest.
Regine's vocal capability in her prime. Unequalled. The GOAT indeed.
I remember watching Regine in a grand coliseum and as soon as she sing, her voice filled the place overpowering even the orchestra. I can imagine how more amazing she was on her prime days when she was a lot younger. Still a great singer.

She's the Queen of Philippine music industry. No one can beat her until now. She is in her 50's and having a hard time singing but she still sounds better than most singers until now.
She sustained that F# and ended it with a vibrato. Damn, what a vocal powerhouse she is.
I’m her prime she is untouchable, sold out concert, and that concert is on the month of November until December every week, box office queen in her movies, tv host. She do everything, and until now she is still relevant, she has upcoming major concert this year nov. 25 at MOA ARENA.! The most successful singer of Philippines Queen REGINE 👑❤️

I watch her singing in live 2x....when i was 18 yrs old , she was promoting her movie and 2nd time is still promoting her movie and she sing TILL I MET YOU EFFORTLESSLY...The best voice that ive heard in my entire life....

She is that good and still some people bashed her that she likes screaming back then. Those people can't tell what belting is. Had an experience of watching her onstage you really get those lingering goosebumps. Or nowadays some would say has been just because younger singers are coming up.

It's a total of 12 concert shows that started from Nov 14 till Dec 20, 2003
Regine was only 33 years old. Her full lyric soprano voice, this was also the peak of her prime
I was in this concert ❤❤❤ my most unforgettable experience ,such a moving and powerful rendition of Barbra Streisand’s song from her Movie Yentle 😊

Her best Barbra Streisand impersonation, that's all I can think of. Lucas, you need to hear the original, or any Streisand number.
regine velasquez is not a musical/theater actress, however, she knows how to express emotions when she sings. she knows how to interpret songs and project the right emotions. she's an award-winning tv and movie actress. she's called Asia's Songbird when she won the grand prize at the Asia-Pacific Singing Contest in 1989. she has reigned the music industry as the best female singer in the Philippines for at least 3 decades since the mid-1980s.

Honestly the un-remastered version sounds better. There's an odd sharpness to this version. There are parts of her vocals you can't hear here particularly the fullness of her vocals when she does a Barbara song. You also can't hear the orchestra here, instead you hear some added crowd cheer. One of the things that make Regine great is her ability to equalize with the volume of the orchestra, not be under it or louder but on par. In the un-remastered version you could clearly hear the letter Y diphthong in the end but here it's almost like she said "Fla" at the end.

The composer of this song, the late Legendary Michel Legrand made this Music for the movie YENTYL starring Barbara Streisand, held a concert here in the Philippines on February 14, 2003, and sang this song with Regine. He was so impressed by her singing prowess. This video is a classic. It's too bad that the recording equipment then was analog. The video was not as advanced yet compared to today..
