Welcome to BARROW, ALASKA - the Northernmost town in America!!! It's pretty wild to be up here, especially in the middle of winter when it's completely dark outside for 30 straight days. I came up here to Barrow to learn about the indigenous Iñupiat culture (which is fascinating!) as well as see how they are spending their lives in such extreme isolation - living alongside polar bears and walruses!
If you have any questions about life in Barrow or Alaska in general, please let me know in the comments down below! Also, if you want to visit Barrow, then contact Ace's tour company called "Arctic Hummer Adventures" by emailing him at arctichummeradventures@gmail.com, and he'll take care of you!

I'm from Saskatoon Saskatchewan, and I drive truck every night for work! I see the northern lights often, especially in the winter. Our provinces slogan is Land of the Living Skies, and it couldn't be more true. The further north you go, the better they get, but they are everywhere. There's nothing like being out on the road all alone in the middle of nowhere at 2am, watching the lights dance across the sky through your windshield.

I feel that this privileged white man who can afford to play 'explorer' for his own profit online is very undeserving of your kind words. His ignorance and entitlement are quite repulsive and very indicative of Murica. He immediately asked indigenous people if they are 'proud americans' and when the response wasn't an enthusiastic yes, he went on to remind them that they indulge in 'the economic benefits of being part of the US'-otherwise they would starve. He also went for 'subtly' creating manufactured tension through pitting them against people who have access to plant based/vegan products by manipulatively asking about the killing of whales. His excitement around guns is also telling. This lazy account of him doing nothing but exploiting clickbait titles while traveling first class and promoting credit cards for sponsorship is just further funding his lifestyle which couldn't be further from a cultural documentary. It's just a lazy white guy having fun for himself with other people's money while pretending he is doing some public service.

(they are much more remote than I). I love being able to store stuff outside in the winter. It's currenlty -17c here and snowing (which is warm for February). It's not uncommon to see -40c plus a windchill. It's peacful and beautiful. The gentleman that spoke about not moving for a billion dollars, coudn't agree more. There's a place for everyone. However, Svalbard is actually too far north of the arctic circle to have a chance to see the northern lights. My best suggestion for the highest chance is Northern Norway/Northern Sweden/Northern FInland, or Iceland (although Iceland is quite cloudy most of the time). It's worth the hunt!
