I want to do this but I don’t know where I fit. I believe I’ve made it to diamond once and stopped playing after that. I’d love to be in a game with masters players and see where I match up
I really wanted to do elo hell last night but had a set really love the series maybe ill catch the next one.
I love how PC players talk about controller players like they’re bad…..not recognizing just how difficult it is to be mechanically on par with a controller compared to MnK. In any game for that matter….
I mean, in smite, yes,but any game is just wrong. Like halo or rocket league are much easier on the sticks but a games like csgo or smite mnk rules. I've played around 3k hour of smite on the sticks and a little over 500 on mnk, and it's just a different game. You can usually tell when someone is on the controller just because of the way you move. To be good on the sticks, I feel like you're forced to run max sensitivity, and you're still at a massive disadvantage.

It's not that controller players are bad, it's just that the pool of controller players versus the pool of PC players has better players because everyone 90% of people who are good on a controller switched to KBM. Paul, Layers, Dashboarrd, etc. Not just pros and gms but in general controller players move to PC whenever they have a chance most of the time. So It's almost like good controller players are poached away from it due to the advantages of kbm. When people say controller players are bad they're not talking about Paul or Kreshoa they're talking about actual dogshit players who play on controller because they tend to be worse at the game. If they were good they woulda moved to PC. If you've ever actually played controller ranked queues versus PC ranked queues, MMR capped GM controller lobbies have worse macro than a diamond elo PC lobby. Controller players run it down and will chase to phoenixes instead of doing fire giant. PC players are more objective / macro oriented. Obviously better mechanics too. Worse Macro + worse Micro = recipe for being called dogshit.
I switched from controller to MnK a couple months ago and I was continually so much higher elo on controller than I am on MnK.
Swapping to mk and I'm not even that good at it yet and I'm already thrashing people in my main role. I was also a joust gm and almost gm in conq. Like was usually around 80th. So I have a lot more knowledge than most of these people so it makes up for my lack of mechanics for now. My ring finger is just not starting to do what it needs to do easily.
I feel like its a lot easier to play smite with mk if you plar ranged characters but honestly i dont notice too much difference for melee@@ADude846
I have the same issue with my ring finger. I just find general mobility is awkward still, especially for anything other than W'ing. It is so much easier to hit abilities now though.
@@ADude846I started KBM 3 years ago and before I switched I knew that would be an issue to be able to click everything like abilities with my middle finger and press actives with my index finger. Movement was fine. So I made sure to slap my actives on my side mouse buttons so it would be easier for me, so whenever I’m in trouble I can instantly click it without having to take my fingers off anything
Same. I just got a pc few months ago and I just can’t get the hang of MnK. 22 years with controllers , just struggling to make the switch

I don't know how to sign up for this, but my brother really could use a lesson in humility. Im a plat player at best, but my brother is no where near as good as me, but plays much more thinks hes a high diamond or even masters player because he was carried there a few years ago. I would love to sign him up if im able.
You wanna climb it’s simple play jungle and support if your playing anything other than those 2 it’s very likely your team won’t make it to late game not to mention I know a lot of people like to play solo and mid but those two roles are like playing with dice because if your team gets stomped early your team will want to surrender or it’s just generally hard to comeback. As for carry it’s way to late game oriented for you to help the team. Point I’m trying to make is play the two roles that can help your team get ahead early and you will win more games in elo hell but that’s just my opinion
I’m a supp main right now hovering around gold with around 25 GP. If I don’t get support we loose basically every time

Idk I feel like playing support in lower elo is hard to carry on bc no matter how good your peel or set up it, you don’t really get a lot of follow up from your team. Jungle on the other hand you can easily hard carry out of lower ranks imo
@@alexquinones8747 although I agree with jungle take, I just don’t feel jungle is good for me when most my games go around 40 min or over. Kinda need a tank to go in first, they usually just sit and stare, so if you dive you just get deleted. That’s what happens to me anyways
@@RedShambles that’s why you just wait for the other team to initiate. Once they go in on your team you just delete their back line (this only works in low elo though). This is how you’ll end up carrying yourself out of gold
There is being bad at conquest, (a game mode), and then there is being bad at the game, both of which can be seen on controller and mnk. This guy is the latter and just happens to be on controller. Much of the reason he is bad is probably due to the fact that he is a controller player as controller just inherently hinders a players performance, especially if the player is already bad at the game. The problem is that, with controller, the vast majority of players suffer from less micro adjustments resulting in less accuracy as well as less freedom in their camera movement. It's not even a fact that can be argued. With mnk you are simply able to aim better. This is why fps games offer aim assist to controller players because, without it, only the top .1% of controller players would be able to compete against mnk players. And that would still only be against the most average of mnk players. With that said, are there better smite controller players out there than many mnk players? Absolutely. However, this is less due to the fact that they're on controller and more so due to them being better at the game. I would argue that, for the majority of controller players, making the switch to mnk, after some adjustment time of course, would vastly improve those already great controller players.

I think you just show up in the stream when it has an elo hell title, subscribe, and ask a mod and they’ll vet you to see if you’re a good candidate.
Show up to stream. He has sign ups and you just fill a short form out. He looks through it and checks to see what is interesting or might have a chance to actually be Elo Hell.
I wonder how a match would look if they didn’t know he was watching. Obviously a lot of things they do is wild asf but I think a lot of it comes with nerves. I wonder if it would be different if they had a bad/good/decent game and just let him watch a recording of them play. Like obviously they’d know he would watch but the pressure of him watching in real time wouldn’t be so bad.

I got it in like 2 weeks, but I also play MnK on other games. I have 5k on the sticks and 3k on MnK went from gm on console when they were separate to 3100ish on MnK

Some of yall are saying how console players are taking you down or your team down. Then just simply turn off crossplay.
Controller players are not the issue. People like this, who have zero awareness are the issue. This seems to be a huge reoccuring thing with players you have on Elo Hell. They legit have zero awareness and lose 75% of their matches in these higher elos because they have no awareness against higher skilled players.
@zacherylaviolette6716 That's just statistically false. You can literally turn crossplay off and still play ranked. You don't have to play against sweaty PC players. I am a console player because I'm forced to basically stay on Playstation as I can't transfer my skins. Once smite 2 comes out I won't have to worry about that. Again, controller isn't the issue here, it's the teams they are facing, and the AWARENESS they have. Lower FPS is not a issue. I've never had that issue. You blaming console for something that is statistically false is just dumb. Weaken himself has literally played on Console and still played at a high lvl. Same with other pros. It's not a console issue, it's a awareness/style issue.

If you play different roles you have 1 person that’s gaurenteed to not take one of your roles lol, basically increasing your odds from 1/5 to 1/4 chance to get your role
MnK has an advantage straight out of the box. To pretend that both should be in the same player pool and accurately show who is at what rank is laughable at best.

Idk if it's because i realized the benefits of jacking up your controller sensitivity to the point you can flick 180 in a blink of an eye, or that you can even flick certain abilities after they were cast with high sensitivity... I'd also abuse that sensitivity to use the forward movement bonus in my jukes, or floating outside peoples kits... Then played for like 3k more hours like that, and i can't say keyboard made any difference to the people who ran into me running hot.

Atleast back then, i tried playing recently and it's so boring when half the people are playing it like a shooter game trying to get solo kills instead of a moba. I always played for a team fights, since my noob days grinding assault, to dropping conquest completely because people seemed to get lost easier on it.

I mean it really goes either way. Just like in a shooter, the really good players can make either work. Unfortunately a large population of smite players are sub-par and toxic so they never improve. I was high diamond/low masters on ps4 and pretty much close to the same on pc most of the time. I can 100% tell when a player is a controller player just simply because they can't maneuver in fights well and can't balance aim with sensitivity. They're either rotating like the tin man without oil or spinning too fast and missing everything. I'm mostly saying this because a lot of our "feeder randos" my group smitegurus to see how bad the matchmaking does us dirty and a ton of the worst ones have been ps and xbox lately. And when I mean feeders I mean like anubis 1/11 level 18 at 30 minutes feeding lol

Same. I can play 10x better on controller, so why would I use something I'm terrible at. It's the equivalent of playing a C Tier God you've mastered vs playing a meta God you've never touched. I'm easily the best of my friends who all play on K&M.
@tlothompson6935 the issue is smites matchmaking system. The more wins you get, the more it tosses you into better teams to try to demote that win streak. Eventually you are fighting pc players with thousands of hours in most of your matches which is where it becomes the problem where most controller players can't keep up. I'm speaking as someone that had a ton of play on ps4 before converting over to pc. It felt awkward af but now if I try to play controller again on smite it feels like absolute garbage. A lot less controller players can keep up with the high tier of play compared to pc players unfortunately. I could run circles around a lot of players I know using controller as well, doesn't mean it's as good though lol

Because most ppl with consoles have lives and playing is for winding down . If you’re not a pro or a streamer no need for a power house machine just to be an average player still. And without console players pc players wouldn’t have anymore excuses .
