- No. 6 USC tops the No. 15 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 38-27, during Week 13 of the 2022 college football season. Caleb Williams led the Trojans with 232 YDS through the air, 35 YDS on the ground and four total TDs. Austin Jones rushed for 154 YDS for USC on 25 CAR.

Keep in mind that this is Year 1 and Lincoln Riley has the Trojans competing for the Playoffs. Yes he brought Caleb Williams, Jordan Addison, and a multitude of talented guys with him. But taking over a roster that was 4-8 a year prior and meshing that roster with 19+ transfers is extremely challenging. To do it in just one off season is remarkable and recruits are going to take notice. Much Respect to the entire USC football team.
It's impressive but remember, he made the playoffs a few times at OU and look how that turned out....0 trips to the natty.

Caleb Williams is special. His talent on the field is rare, but his leadership is what separates him from the pack. He has so much confidence in himself and his teammates, so when your Quarterback shows that to his team, they believe in themselves even more. I’m so happy for USC man. The Trojans have been good in spurts throughout the past decade, but haven’t been able to put it together consistently. Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams have been the missing pieces that USC has needed.

Notre Dame fan here. Expected to win the battle in the trenches and USC was more physical at the point of attack, dominating the rushing battle. Sprinkle in Caleb Williams’ elusiveness in the pocket and we were at the mercy of Lincoln Riley having his way all night long. Respect to USC. Hate losing to you but you guys deserved this win.

As a life long Notre Dame fan (through the ups and downs) you can't take anything away from USC and how far they have come.
Despite our rocky rebuild and our starting quarterback fiasco after the second game...we made a lot of errors... Incomplete tackles... coverage and open receivers...and in the end the better team won.
As long as you guys stay hungry and show respect where it's due.... You'll always get it from other teams fan's like me and others who have seen the struggle and felt the highs of ppl saying "if you beat this team or if you beat that team then you can call yourself legit"
We have beat teams like Clemson and other though teams and then barely won against other teams we should have shut out.
USC looks good and you deserve to ride this high... I know I'm cheering for you guys.

One was knocked out today by a bad performance and the unanimous frontrunner was knocked out due to injury giving it to Williams by default, but im not trying to take away what he has/is doing it is spectacular just not better than Hooker. JJ didnt have a season as good as those guys but i do believe he can get there because he’s so young. i can see one coming his way in the next two years though hopefully.

No one thought USC’s defense would hold ND’s 3 headed monster rushing attack to under 100 yards. Jones had 154 yards rushing by himself for the Trojans. So their defense did pretty well, I’d say.

USC had the 5th best odds to win the national championship and were favored to win the Pac 12, but if you went back to August you'd never know it because those know nothings for ESPN spent all their breath talking about the Utah-Florida match-up. Florida is 6-6 with a vastly overrated and inaccurate QB and Utah has zero 5-star recruits. Everybody on the Utes is a 1-star overachiever. Vegas and logic made it clear that USC was losing 1 game max. I personally thought they'd run the table until I saw they were underdogs to Utah that one game. Lee Corse correctly predicted that Caleb Williams would win the Heisman. Now stop disrespecting blue bloods and go along with your day. BYU, Kansas, Utah, Kentucky, Tulane, etc. None of those fairy tales worked out for you, ESPN.

I have so many comments about the improbabilities of this game.
I really needed to question whether or not Caleb Williams was the protagonist of “The Get Down” on Netflix.
I also had to question how Michael Mayer was able to get off of the line of scrimmage and into open coverage amongst a squad of defensive backs who most-likely could run sub-4.5 second 40-yard-dash times at (5:35).
This guy looks like he should be catching blocks from a center.
Audric Estime also is a shockingly athletic running back for his size and body type. He looks like a Space Force cadet running down the sideline at (6:43).
Sometimes, these are the interesting things that make football fun - including the comical amount of preparedness of the Notre Dame defense at (1:30) and the referee at (9:15) being in the worst possible position, in the event of that particular interception.
He couldn’t even seem to make the right call in regard to his own safety.
I appreciate the sharing of these plays and the opportunity to comment upon them.

The amount of holding usc o line got away with us insane. Just on their first 3 drives there are a few obvious calls
The amount of uncalled holding by the USC offensive line throughout every major offensive play for the Trojans is unreal

South Carolina was criminally underrated this week as unranked and Norte Dame was ridiculously overrated, as usual, at #15. This game was men versus boys
South Carolina is a 4 loss team though, I don't think any other ranked team had 4 losses heading into this week. Also, ND crushed Clemson - ND might have been overhyped since Clemson lost today but if South Carolina is as good as you think they are, then that's a respectable away loss for Clemson, which just makes ND's win over Clemson also more respectable so idk
@@11111mushu Texas was ranked with 4 losses coming into this weekend, and they've been in and out of the rankings four different times this year. I'm saying Notre Dame is the same team that got bullied by Ohio State and Marshall, and probably should have lost to Navy. Maybe Clemson just has a bad quarterback, and Syracuse and North Carolina are overrated themselves. I'm saying tonight's game and how Notre Dame lost, surprised nobody. Nobody who actually watches their games and doesn't get suckered into a bad bet by listening to ESPN talking heads. This is who they are, and they need to stop getting ranked for these games
@@PaperRaines They lost by 11 points on the road to the #6 seed in the nation playing without 2 of their best players. The spread was close before the game. ND is a solid team but it's unclear just how good.

Those 2 turnovers were game changers. We couldn’t stop them on defense and the turnovers didn’t help. We definitely would have scored a TD on the drive we fumbled on, we were tearing them up. And of course the interception was just a bad decision. Could have won this game or at least took it to OT without those turnovers
