Even if they did we remember the Winter War where Finland destroyed entire Russian divisions using their terrain so well to ambush the Russian columns. But NATO is now in the Baltic Sea the first step in many which will make both Finland and Sweden's defensive capabilities that much stronger.

Still must be realistic and Swedish Covernment must understand: Finland is like "protection shield" against Russia for Sweden and if Finland will be destroyed, you can understand which country is the next. We have got peace 77 years now and Finland tought we have good relationship with Russia and that should help us and whole western countries have peace - but how wrong we were! That's why it's important both Finland and Sweden join in Nato that we get protection.

In the winter war, Finland surrendered because it stopped receiving help from the "allies". Learn history. And now Ukraine simply has no chance. Everything that is planned will be done.

@@muumiv Actually Finland never surrendered, an armistice was accepted by both sides, indeed Finland had to cede much land for their "sin" of defending themselves against the "mighty" ussr.....as I say no good deed goes unpunished, however surrender, never not as Finn, as I always state and believe in the motto of the New Hampshire license plate, "Live Free or Die", this indeed is the belief of Finns as well.
People may be surprised by the fact that how prepared we are for conflict ( worst case scenario ) and most of the men will defend our country to last breath without hesitation.

However, if one looks at the total number of casualties, especially in the Winter War, the Soviets suffered four times as many casualties (killed, wounded, sick, captured) as the Finns. Yes, the Soviets won, but they paid an horrendous price for those victories.

Did you all hear about NATO joining Finland? NATO’s lucky to be getting the Finns’ protection. Finland’s current forces would absolutely SMASH Russia w/out any help.
It’s crazy advanced, training only rivaled by Israeli and US Special Forces and holds a lot of what it has tight to its chest. Finally, it has the biggest pool of militarily trained civilians and that’s not including the long and widespread tradition of incredible marksmanship stemming from a long history of hunting and competitive shooting.
