I love those fluffy tanks. There so hardy it's unreal, oneday maybe I'll get some myself.
What camera do you use
Tiny phediole ants are good fighters and they give tough competition to other larger phediole ants but i seen them loosing against black crazy ants and destructor ants
Black Crazy Ants are nemesis of Fire ants and Pheidole ants. Whenever they get a chance, they eat these ants.
@@AntsKingdomAsia do yellow crazy ants attack fire ants
@@ANTASIA_07 yes I hv seen them doing so!!!
Dark pheidoles would had brutally destroyed this meranoplus.
Pheidole are quite formidable ant hunters, it’s just those hairs in Meranoplus are quite annoying and they use chemical defenses like Crematogaster making them very good defense oriented ants
@@RosqueSoruqa Crematogaster doesn't have stinger but they only spray formic acid. And dark pheidoles, Pheidole Parva, pheidole megacephala can defeat Crematogaster ants as they aren't affected much by the formic acid and a few pheidole species like megacephala are also clever enough to attack in a way in which the opponent ant cannot use the stinger nor can it bite. Besides, Crematogaster acid is still not as powerful as yellow crazy ants. Specific pheidole species are very strong, well coordinated, aggressive, strategic which fill up their lack of ability to sting and spray. Even some timid pheidole species are excellent opportunistic feeders who quickly carry away bits of food from other ants and even sometimes lifting heavy food as whole and fleeing away as pheidoles are very strong and engaging the enemy ants with few individuals.
@@wildlifeisthewealthofnatur5457Crematogaster ants do have a stinger, but It's not used in a way unlike certain ants with stingers like Solenopsis Invicta. Instead workers of Crematogaster spp. will raise up their gasters and secrete a small drop of acid which can deter foes away.
And yes, Pheidole spp. are very strong and aggressive ants (in the South US some Pheidole sp. have been more aggressive when encountering S. invicta) but that all really depends on the species really. And why bring up Pheidole parva?? It's not a really strong tramp/invasive species compared to P. megacephala and it's also not as conspicuous as other Pheidole ants as well.
