Remember in 05 and 08 when we had the hardest schedule in thirty years. Worked out pretty well
3 games in 10 days at the end of season is brutal.

To be the best you must beat the best.
I guess we'll see how good we really are this year.
Not until the end of the season the beginning is pretty easy we will probably be injured by the end and people will say we suck calling it now
crazy tough looking schedule this year
DK, I don’t think people are complaining about who we are supposed to play this year. Everybody’s known that since January. It is what it is. The complaints stem from not playing our first divisional game until week 11 or playing 4 divisional games in a row, followed by the Ravens/Chiefs on a quick turnaround (which you touched on). AFC North physicality is the toughest in the league. That a brutal stretch and the team will be extremely fortunate to come out of that healthy - especially defensively.

By proxy, the Steelers will never have an easy schedule for being a member of the AFC North. So color me confused by the idea of having the toughest schedule. The media seems to make the schedule sound so difficult, but for me, it's just another season of Steelers football.
Takes me back to the 70's when we played Houston, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.
Each team in the division was a tough one to get past.
This year's division could be another one where all four teams are in the mix again.
Coincidence that we start in Atlanta and in Denver? It’s about the game and not the backstory. Right, DK?!?

Great show again buddy,I was thinking about lat seasons injuries as well. It is nice to start off the season against some "lesser" teams but that hasn't always worked out wll in the Tomlin era.
No team should fear a schedule. If you can't beat the contenders you are not a contender
Well they better fear this one. Cause by the end of September they can EASILY be 1 and 3 or even 0 and 4

It really didn't look like a tough schedule or as much as it's been hyped up to in my opinion. For 8 weeks looks very winnable. Then there's a lot of division games after the bye week. Which holds importance but we usually do well in our division, then you're looking at eagles who had our number last meet and then KC but honestly they have a short week and will likely be resting starters. We might be looking at much of the same record but I'm expecting us to be a much improved team. Hoping these rookies and second year guys get a lot of playing time this year.
I love the energy DK. Good morning. My concern/J1Q… what’s your take on the overall product the NFL is conjuring? Games 4 days a part? Do we really think good football is going to occur? In my opinion this is a mess for our players long-term wise. Especially late in the season like that where the playoffs are going to be on the line. Players are going to be taking all sorts of injections and pain meds just to play that game. I don’t know DK. I’m a huge fan of football, but I don’t like this. Let’s not forget we lost Bud Dupree due to a bad scheduling situation where he tore his ACL vs the Ravens.
On a more positive note, I’m planning to make my first trip to Pittsburgh for the Steelers opener, so hopefully I’ll get to shake your hand that Friday before the game. I’m hoping to come to your shop. Thanks for the content and energy
Well, DK, as a member of the media, this is a good time to suggest to Omar Khan that we need a true WR2, slot CB, and depth OLB! This schedule is no joke, and the GM's job is to get our roster fortified heading into this season! No excuses!

Noone thought we'd go 11-0 to start in 2018 or 2019 I can't remember which year, but we did. I'm not worried about this schedule. I just wanna know why noone ever answers my question on why getting KC to a 3rd straight Superbowl is being fixed by the NFL and their scheduling?

They need to get out to a 6-2 start to make the playoffs.
All 6 AFC North games in the second half of the season is what makes it a hard schedule, those games will produce injuries so depth will be tested after the trade deadline.
I may be mistaken, but some of our best seasons have come during seasons with the most difficult schedule. As you said, the adversity will force them to gel. If you are known for playing down to weaker competitors, isn’t better not to have the opportunity to play down…? I am looking forward to it and I think with the mindset of this team, they are as well. We have guys with chips on their shoulders. I like when we are counted out. LET’S GO!!!

Come on DK. Don’t go pooping all on the draft. That was an experience for those who never experienced an NFL draft. You’re a reporter you get to go and locker rooms you seen every stadium. You’ve seen players that I’ll probably never meet. But at the draft, you can see some of those things you can see fans from all 32 teams. It’s a great experience. Don’t go pooping 💩 on the draft DK.

Our schedule is definitely not one to be sleeping on, especially the 2nd half. Pretty confident we'll win our opener, but that Denver game will not be a picnic, for obvious reasons. And not to mention that virtually EVERY team in the league gets up for the Steelers, as we already know. If this team can just keep their heads about them and also stay healthy, the Steelers will make the postseason.
No idea what you're hearing that wasn't there. All I stated was that nothing actually happens at those things. That's true. All 32 teams conduct the draft at their own HQs. - Dejan

i love the challenge we're gonna find out what coach t is really made of you know that i hate the non losing seasons discussion however if tomlin manages to pull off a winning season this year it would be impressive this could be the year it ends i got them winning 8 or 9 games when we expect them to underachieve they overachieve and vice versa so who knows
I kinda like the way our schedule is. A soft start could be beneficial since the whole offense is new with coordinators QB and all the new lineman. We want those guys to gel so when the going gets tough they are up to speed. Let's get the Falcons and Broncos out of the way because people love the narrative of the "revenge" game, get those out of the way so our guys can focus on football.

6 of our last 8 games are against divisional opponents….that’s um…not great.
We just need to enjoy the ride. Wins and losses will come. I’m excited about what has been being built especially the last 2 years. Quarterback is the biggest question mark. I’m going to choose to be patient.

I can see the Steelers heading into Week 11 and being 9-0 based on Strength of QB. Only One Top QB and that's Justin Herbert of the Chargers without his usual weapons of Mike Williams and Keenan Allen and Austin ekeler. Cousins, and Rodgers coming off serious injuries and both over 35 and 40 years of age. And facing Prescott and Rodgers on Prime Time where Mike Tomlin never loses and have the Steelers ready to play. Week 9 of the last 2 years is when the offensive line started to gel and the Steelers started to Run the Ball and go on winning Streaks. I believe with this new OL that starts in Week 1.

Green was so bad as a center, when he didn’t play at the end of that season, the o-line played better

the second half of thr season is insane. Absolutely insane, and the three day turnaround on Christmas is completely bull. But this is what the NFL does.
Basically, Tomlin only has one trap game in front of him. Use the first half to work the kinks out before shit gets real. I'm thinking 10-7, maybe 11-6

First two games are a little evil on the NFL. Other then that I am a little confused on the league scheduling division so late. Either way the schedule is what it is. 2008 was a tough schedule too.

12-5 is a real possibility! Jets loss before the bye, Lose first match ups with Cincy and Baltimore, finish our losses off with Close calls to Philly and kc on the back end. Win the division going 4-2 in those games and take the playoffs by storm
Chiefs and the over bet your house on it, you’ll pay it off promise. Steelers still don’t realize the forward pass is a legal play and it’s ok to stop it.
The first nine games are just cupcake after cupcake. They should be nine and oh going into that Baltimore game. And no one in our division scares me. The Steelers can have regularly beaten divisional opponents.

Now fantasy football takes over & everyone is worried about offense. What about the new secondary & IMLBs gelling. The other team cannot win if they cannot score. Our D can win 2 of the 1st 4 if they're clicking. Yes they need offense but the 1st 4 are on the D

Keep this in mind. As long as Tomlin is the coach, we will end in the middle of the pack. His record indicates. You're only as good as your leader. You have a good leader, you finish good. You have a great leader, you finish great. You have a mediocre leader, you finish mediocre. For 17 years, we've average in the middle. That's where we'll be this year. In the MIDDLE..

Man Every Year I Predict Superbowl Ever since 68.... Its a 5 Star Match Up because The Steelers are in It... 💪💙 Man if We went 10 and 7 with the Oline limping, Kenny and Mitch Regressing, Kwon and Holcomb going down, No Cam or Minkah for much of the season and TJ gets hurt in the end. I Can't See where the Players "Especially" The Defense NOT Feeling Excited on being able to compete. Anyone who Think Russ has Lost It After Beating Mahomes and Allen and Even Field's is Worse then Kenny throwing a TD 1 every other game is Delusional. Remember Ben Didn't Beat Mahomes AND Ben Never Beaten Russell Wilson.. So Your Mathematics Computations are Flawed. I've Yet Seen where ANY of those So Called Elite AFC North QBs Dominate The Steelers Defense at Anytime like they may make the Rest of the Scared League.
