Famous last words: "Easy, I know what I´m doing" - Bubba Zanetti
Yeah, it reminds of one redneck says to another, "hold my beer and watch this" lol.....
😂😂😂
He did _not_ know what he was doing. 💀
LMAO :)
Almost like the nine most dangerous words in the English language. I'm from the government and I'm here to help. LOL
The glorious V-8 engine sound along with those metric inline twin and 4-cylinder bikes. Plenty of gearheads were born watching this movie.
I absolutely love the sound of the Z1 at full chat.
351 Cleveland and a 4 speed love it
@@supermanmax3478 Sad that here in the States one can hardly find a manual transmission anymore.
All 4 cylinder's, no twins cylinder's in mad max
@@tomservo5347 , All my cars are 4 speeds trans with 11 inch clutch ,
Mostly M-20 and M-21 Muncie .
Been looking for a M-22 Rock Crusher
I can't stand automatic transmission
What people forget about this scene is the tremendous amount of will power and determination it takes for Max to get back in the Interceptor and operate a racing clutch with blown knee cap.
Yeh friend. Most will never feel power of a blown/tuned V8 breathin' fire up their arse!🍻
That’s why the Toecutter pissed off sharpish. He knew what was a comin...
You actually hear that max changes into second gear without using the clutch, like a truck driver changes gears with no clutch.
You can feel he's need to kill toe cutter his wife he's baby boy killing him was all he had left
@@pinny492 I thought the car was automatic ? Didn't it show him selecting Drive ( D ) ?
Their first mistake was not realizing max was literally too angry to die
He showed such determination when he stood up after getting shot and run overed.
Or, to lift a line from Predator: ''Ain't got time ta bleed...''
Being angry helps, but you can still be killed. Human.
the funny thing is that they didn't realize wtf was going on until it was too late; they thought The Goose had been the one who killed the Knightrider and that Max's wife was just some random chick
Yeah, First the same guy killed his best friend, wife and son. Then he got injured in the leg and arm, full of mental and physical pain.
Bubba was probably the most sensible of that lot but he underestimated Maxs sheer will and determination.
Bubba zanetti manejaba a todos
True story - the truck owner didn't want his truck damaged, so the front of his truck was removed and had a thin metal facade installed. If you watch closely you can see details like the headlights are painted on.
Yeah I read that as well..I wouldn't have noticed otherwise!
Thanks for the info. Now that you mention it, at 4:03, you see the facade fall off as Toecutter and his bike slam into it. Edit - You'll have to pause and go by frame.
Bike would have wrecked the grille and radiator and probably dented the cab in spite of the roo bar.
Correct. My understanding is that the truck was a Kenworth
The dummy that went under the truck that looked horrifically real.
What's so beautiful about this scene is the Ford Interceptor actually out villain's the bad guys with all its extra power and intimidation. Earlier in the movie it's established that the bikers can basically run down just about any car with their speed yet this car can actually outrun these bikes like it's the devil and there's nothing they can do about it....
Probably help sell the car
I saw this scene first at 10 years old..that interceptor is still the baddest machine of all time
@@erichmedenbach5304 "She sucks nitro!"😎
I think the kawasaki Z1000's top speed is 130mph, have no idea what the interceptors top speed is,
@@TheGodParticleIf the Bikes are doing 130--140, you can bet the car's got a speed well over 150---170 mph, 210--230 klms.
RIP Hugh Keays Byrne. The greatest movie biker villain. From Stone to Mad Max to Fury Road.

I think it's bast boss death of the Mad mix movies
Especially the scene where Goose is just joy riding ... The camera man actually sat behind the stunt rider and filmed at 100 MPH ... insane ..
Ppl talk about the mustang vs charger in bullet, and it's a good chase but there's something visareal in these mad max chases that no other movie can touch
@@jonathancox1231 Exactly!!! No one could make even nearly as good and visceral speed chases, like some first film movie enthusiasts, 43 YEARS AGO, without money!!!

It's a classic,it never gets old💯
Gibson hadn't even reached his peak yet. Badass in this one.
Have you tried the video game? Its awesome as well !
I just love how Max gets closer so fast with interceptor on 3:32. Epic movie magic and hellish image. Death is coming and its coming fast
That scene look incredible.😮
45 years later and this is still one of the all time sickest sequences. Rewatched this movie the other night and rewound this because I couldn’t believe it lol
No matter how many times I see it, Max's burnout as he heads off to run down Toecutter always gives me chills.
U know max has made up his mind to kill toecutt

Bubba pulled off one hell of a shot from that distance.
The distances are weird. Even when Max gets shot. He was nowhere near that far away from the interceptor when he hops back to it..

I love how the sequels are so vastly different from the original...I know it was due to the small budget, but this world feels so familiar to us. The later ones are pure post-apocalyptica!!! And that Miller did this AND Fury Road is incredible.
I think the movies that followed this one missed the point and lost their identity.
This movie is so distinctively Australian while the rest are just so American in style that its kind of sad.

I like how Max has the siren going when he has no intention of arresting Toecutter. 😈
Unlike highway patrol these days, how would you be able to pay the fine if you're dead?
Mark Illingworth Direct debit already set up before you kick the (supercharged) bucket. 😉
he's using the siren incase other people are on the road

Teenage or kid in my age probably
( But i love classic )
Because they've got no class
Because they are too stupid to appreciate the classics.
Low testosterone
Interceptor aproaching in the distance... Sirens and engine screaming.... i got the Goosebumps...
I always found Toecutter & Bubba to be the most unnerving antagonists of the franchise. Probably because they are the most realistic. But hell....who knows, maybe when the world truly goes tits up Lord Humungus and Master Blaster won't seem so abnormal.
They were so menacing, because they were so devoid of rational humanity.
Man at 3:34 the way the Interceptor just eats at the road. Chills.
Indeed I was always mesmerized by his closing between himself and toe cutter on that straight way
I love the bird in this scene. Just casually hanging around sitting on the fence post waiting for someone to die so it’s got an easy feed
Crows represent death in mythology. Hence the Brandon Lee film The Crow.

3:50 when the toecutter realises max is behind him and winds on the throttle! And max gives chase, Classic ❤️
Too bad the chase was too short and anti-climactic,
just like when Darth Vader fought Obi-Wan Kenobi to the death.
3:30 - the way the interceptor approaches is such a small scene built up in a such oppressive way though
It's amazing only watched this clip a few months ago saw. At the drive ins and loved it and thought Hugh Keays-Byrne was a talented actor loved his scene on the train station RIP Toecutter
He's a trained Shakespearean actor.
Never realised before hearing with earphones for the first time. The dispatcher on his radio was talking about him.
"Code unspecified. We have a query/locate priority of a pursuit special. Unauthorised use by a main force officer. This is designated as a potential code 3 red alert"
This is the premise of the story which is reinforced in this part. The premise is that in this "not so far future", the state has become powerless due to overlegislation, bureaucracy and human rights. Do you remember how that gang member was set free because no victim reported to the police for what he did?
The idea here is: "forget about the laws and the 'right way of doing things', this is not going to work in this mean world we live in. We've got to handle matters by our own hands".
after being obsessed with this movie since I was a kid and wanting toecutters helmet and goggles I finally got a replica helmet and close enough aviator goggles!

Such a timeless cult classic. Created by the absolutely brilliant, George Miller. They certainly don't make them like they use to. A simple story line, very little dialogue, dramatised sound tracks a solid cast and some brilliant low budget stunt work. Aussies simply do it better. 👍
