Poor 3830, always the bridesmaid, always trailing behind 3801. Also loved the touch with the 'roos on the Wallerawang Triangle.
There's been quite a few times 3830 has being 3801's pilot on mainline excursions.
Great shots Bevan - showing what mighty locos the 38's are. The last start out of Zig -Zag is particularly impressive (followed by the way with 5 minutes of nothing).
So it wasn't just me that faded to black just as they started the climb through the rat holes.....
It's hard to believe you can burn coal that cleanly. I love the shots of the guys out on the coal car shoveling. Nice video, thanks!
Bet they made going through the tunnels East of Lithgow an interesting experience.
