I tried another competitor's PCC Timney Trigger and decided that I needed to upgrade from the budget Mil-Spec Trigger. What an improvement. Well worth the upgrade.

The metal plate is due to the screws being steel, and the receiver being aluminum. It just protects the aluminum from deforming under the pressure of the screws. Good to always have steel on steel vs steel on aluminum when possible.

The set screws are there so that the pins are tensioned and don't walk out.
