I feel bad for Solar man. I think Maru is just giving him PTSD.
Always those big moments where he "almost" does it but then something catastrophic happens.
Whether its a nuke hitting every broodlord because he lost vision.
Hero widow mine connections that turns a doomed fight for Maru
Same widow mines hitting your entire flock of mutas
Or sometimes just leaving your lurkers alone for 2 seconds.
And to add salt on the wound? forgetting you need to move your overlord to spot the siege tanks. Something im sure he has done thousands of times on ladder. And he just forgot under the pressure.
A really basic mistake in his eyes when he rewatches the game later.
Dont get me wrong Maru forced a lot of those mistakes but man. Solar just gets so many of those crucial moments on a coin flip and he always flips tails.
He looks so tilted. When you reach a point like this its hard to even keep playing a game like starcraft.
Its one thing to get stomped but getting close to winning and it being decided on a flip is fine the first few times.
It happening again and again? My man is gonna some serious theraphy later on in his life.

But Solar needs to be A little be more sophisticated, He does not use infester or viper, nydus, banelin bonb, overlord drop, but dark used it everything.
Solar is really good he just really feels the pressure is all
Couldn't believe he lost the 2nd game where 4 hellions and medivac die in his main for 2 drones
Solar is just simply getting outplayed, that's all. Against any weaker opponent he wouldn't be making these mistakes. Maru is the better player.

As someone who improves by watching the top level of play, I love that you showed bits from their perspective. It’s nice to see their group setups as well as seeing how fast they really are.

it is so funny because years of Zergs dominating is fine, but the moment Terrans start winning "we need to change that". I mean, during all of the time when Zerg was (and still is) OP af, someone gets so good against the odds that they lower the odds once again.

i'm beginning to feel more and more that it's actually pretty bad in general to bank as terran, esp if it's not TvT.
protoss and zerg can use banks because they can just unload all that money to quickly get back to max supply, so it's useful for them, but terran? you don't have the instant reinforcement like protoss nor the huge amount of swappable production like zerg if you try to hold onto a bank, instead, if you lose your army all of a sudden, you need a bunch of time to build up forces again and you need *something* to cover for your production while that happens. So, why not spam CCs? they block the way and themselves look like decent chew toys/targets (planetaries especially can just blunt an attack or take really long to blow up) and so they help cover for your production as you try to get a critical mass again.
the issue with spamming other stuff like engis or production is that they're not a threat nor are they a good target, so you're relying entirely on them blocking the way instead of being a distraction, and opp will just break one line and slip straight through. Them being smaller means it's also a bunch more apm (1.5 to 2x even) to make the same amount of effective sim-city compared to just slapping down ccs
Pro Terrans do tend to make a lot of PFs and OCs when they have a bank.
I'm not sure what your point is - "its bad to bank" - having excess resources in reserve is a good thing for all races. Are you suggesting that Terran should constantly throw away units on unfavorable trades&aggression so they prevent themselves from accruing reserve mins&gas? lol

I think, and i thought this since a year, that marines need a bigger cooldown between attacks.
What Maru did there wasnt even hard to execute, i think goldstar players can even do that.
I think this match up has never been balanced, in fact, terran marines are the one thing that always has been imbalanced.
There is no other race that needs less skill than Terrans. Why do i say that?
You always need a bigger army to protect against their FUCKIN BASE-UNIT
Lets not forget, a fkin baneling costs 25 more minerals and 25 more gas
