This is the definition of bad parenting. You value an adult child agreeing with you over them having their own opinions and views. That is how you produce an insecure, unsure adult with low self-esteem. They then go out and find a partner who does the same thing to them. They drift through life having other people dominate them and tell them what to wear, think and do. This is a very bad mother. Mothers out there, potential mothers, please take note. But in all seriousness, the bride should’ve stood her ground and gone with the dress she loved and felt amazing in, which was the first one. The second one is what she said she didn’t like. At the beginning, she said “no lace, no sleeves.” Momma is being too controlling. I’d have been fine with maybe a compromise, like the first dress with a little lace to satisfy Mum. The third dress was VERY VERY good for the day, with a lot of bling, very New Years Eve-esque, but mum had to come and ruin the bride’s spirit, but I mean, at least she was able to compromise with her mom on this one. Still think the first one was better :/

I realize lots of girl's have their "dream dress"; we all do. But they need to get their head out of the clouds; wake up and realize that maybe having Mommy and Daddy pay for everything will come with a noose to choke you! See if the shop you're dealing with will let you have a payment plan - mine did. OR...start saving NOW for your dream dress, even though it may be years before you decide to get married!
