Arya killing the Night King is one of the most unexpected moments in Game Of Thrones. *Change my mind*
One of the most unexpected moments is how game of thrones ends because we don’t know yet
unexpected ? yes
complete bullshit? yes
I haven't watched yet and this feels disappointing
And after this episode looks like we won know until the moments just before it happens!!
Unexpected?
It is like they just ignored all of the lore in the novels.
Jon was standing exactly where the Night King was and asked Arya "how did you sneak up on me?" Foreshadowing level GoT
Sudhanshu Verma wow. Nice observation
Good catch.
Sudhanshu Verma damn I forgot about that! You're absolutely right.
Awesome catch
but without an army of white surronding him! Foreshadowing of a stupid scene unbelievable
Arya killed the Night King. It seems highly unlikely she gets to kill Cersei too. What would make the show really poetic would be Jaime killing her as he killed the Mad King when he thought that he was a lost cause.
Idk bout the people out there, but to me its no question of who kills Cersei but rather when will she be killed. every single piece of the prophecy she once received have come true. no way the "killed by tthhe hand of your brother" part will not. and as u say with arya already having killed the night king, tyrion already killed tywin. and also, it will perfectly round out Jaimes character arc. "from the womb to the tomb" with cersei.
@@joaschkrauchi7362 Couldn't agree more
i ope she doesn't kill the mountain either
i mean. no1 expected arya to kill night king. literally anything can happen. Everyones theories and assumptions are just getting debunked
Jon and dany won’t live happily ever after
The bigger cooler thing I think that is getting misssed is .. Bran knew what was going to happen the whole time . He knew how it had to play out in order for everyone to be where they were supposed to be. But he couldn’t say it because it would effect their decision. Plus he finally learned what he needed to learn to defeat the NK.. and I believe it was how to keep the NK from using him (Bran) as a conduit to know what was going to happen. He learned to block the NK from seeing what was going to happen. Think about it.. the NK seemed to always know what was going to happen, he is like Bran and can see the present and maybe future. That being said how do you defeat someone who will know what’s up. By blocking “no one” from his sights. The reason the NK was so confident was everything was playing out to his plan or vision. But Arya trained to be NO One , non existent, to be able to move among people as no one. So it was easy for Bran to block the vision of no one. If you watch the look Bran gives him and then the head tilt NK gives Bran just before Arya comes in. The only reason He was able to turn and stop her was she was screaming. He was clueless to her at all. Because she was no one. Moving like a shadow. I think that is totally freaking awesome. And the line of Bran saying “ everything you’ve done has brought you here, home.” Could apply to Jon, Theon , Sansa, Arya, Jorah, the North is his home. The two Swords of Jaime and Breann being Ned’s house sword ICE protecting his family and winterfell. I mean the line is so poetic to so may things. It was a beautiful episode on so many levels.
Okay you're changing my mind. Well said
This has to be the best comment about this episode I've read so far - brilliant 👏
Great analysis
So why the fuck did "No one" go back to Winterfell to be with her family???? Oh yeah and hwo did Arya get past the 10 White Walkers and 2 thousand walkers around Bran, and don't give me the shadow shit. Also, how do you feel about the "Long Night" being only 78 mins. Did snow even make it to Dorn?
You people are pulling this shit out of your arse for things to all make sense.....it's adorable.
Penny Miles Your making excuses for poor writing good job 👍🏼
Waste of a perfectly good Dothraki army. Also RIP the thousands of unsullied that got dogpilled by the extras from world war Z
LOL
😆
Seriously...sending them out like that was a terrible decision...flaming swords aside, they didn't need to go out and attack...they should have stayed back to spell the Unsullied...poor choice...
Why build the biggest army she could If during planning they decide to send dothraki right in the front. Such a waste.....we have seen scenes where men on horse come as a back up from another flank....weren't they doing strategy on episode 2?
I'm not saying it was a stupid war, on the opposite was the best and I believe is gonna be the best of all GOT including fighting cersei on the last episodes.
My comment is why the freak you would kill that army just like that
Ya I thought having them attack wasn't in their best interests..
Jon Snow taught Arya to stick them with the pointy end
Syrio Forel taught Arya not to fear death
The Hound taught Arya where the heart is
The faceless men taught Arya to be no one
This was her destiny all along
The hound love arya to much .. like brother and sister
He may act like no care but he actually care .. i Will feel bad if Arya kill the hound
And yoren from nights watch show her that knife move when kingsguard wanted to take gendry.. i think season 2
It was shit writing and a Deus Ex Machina
Yes!
Shit writing honestly. Oh yes, the night king falls to some teeange girl flying through the air (who didnt even know about the night king while others were fighting him for seasons). Should of been someone who was familiar with the night king who fought them, would of been awesome to see Tormund kill the night king.
“Never meet the Dothraki in an open field”
Night King: “Hold my Beer”
😂😂😂😂 right!!!!
*Dies to a girl an hour later
Stolen comment, shame on you
This made me grin. Lol
Yea that was a horrible feeling of impending doom!!!
ANY DARKER,,,
They could have aired it on the radio!!!!!
All that budget spent and more then half the episode was too dark.. haha love it
It was a medieval battle, there were no street lights lol I feel it made it more real and dramatic
Turn up the brightness and gamma on your tv
t mac I agree.
While I understand the point of realism, it was very disappointing watching this climatic battle blurry and in the dark. If there was ever a candidate for a razzie for cinematography this should be it.
Dr. Strange came to see bran and tell him there’s 1,400,571 outcomes where they survive in 1 scenario.
Jon tries to kill NK : fails
Danerys tries to kill NK: fails
Finally No one killed the Night King 😂
Alice Witt best!!!!

So punny I love this!
You're welcome

Night king was killed under a weirwood tree by stabbing.
Created by a girl and killed by a girl too
POETIC AND THAT IS WHY IT WORKED. REMEMBER ALL THIS MAGIC IS POSSIBLE. IN WESTEROS. IM AT THE POINT WHERE I SAY YOU THINK IT, IT HAPPENS.
@@pinoyavenger8850 DAMN SKIPPY! THATS WHY IT HAD TO B ARYA. LOVE IT.
Cecilia Miller the writers said they didn’t feel right having John kill the night king and said he died bc she stabbed him in the same spot the dragon glass was inserted with valaryian steel.. you’re looking too deep into the “girl” thing.
It was done so perfectly. Though, to me it was a tad predictable. The moment she was asked "What do we say to Death?" I was like.....yep, she's going straight to him and this is gonna be good. What I didn't expect though was him quickly noticing and grabbing her by the throat like that, that was spot on, but ultimately his perception lead to his destruction, maybe he shoulda just stepped aside lol xP
melisandres ending was really perfect. Love how she is left mysterious just like in season 2
This episode had me standing on my feet 😂😂😂from beginning to the end 😂😂😂classic
I'm at a hospital in a wheelchair (recouperating brain surgery + MS)but my soul left my body &I was standing the whole episode lol. #TrueStory

Same I had to go super close and find the right angle since it was hella dark
Me too
While everyone was at war, Bran was actually playing the game Raven simulator 2000😂
lol
😂😂😂
nice joke did you get it from reddit ?
Remember in season premiere when Jon was standing exactly in the same spot and asked Arya, "How did you sneak up on me?"
Well she was screaming so ... I kinda was like “ain’t that defeating the purpose of sneaking up on someone?”
Also where Bran gave her the blade
Bran was so calmly looking at Night King, knowing what's gonna be his fate few moments later.
@Anony Moose Remember when internet know it all's didn't debate the legitimacy of a fantasy series?
@@hereandnow990 I was waiting for the slightest grin.
Jon was brought back to life so that he could bring all the houses and Danny together in order to kill the Knight King and the army of the dead as well as Cersei Lannister.
Melisander death was expected because after the death of Sherene and Stannis Baratheon army being decimated by Ramsey Bolton, she bagan loosing her faith in the lord of lights, which made it longer for her spells to work.
Bran gave Arya the dagger the day they met at the tree because he knew she would be the Stark that would bring an end to the long night.
Also did anyone noticed the first body that came out of the wall in the crypt seemed to dressed as a maester not as lord or lady?
@Jon Boylan If memory serves ONLY Starks are entombed in the crypt.
@Jon Boylan Who's to sat that there was atleast one Stark Maester before?
Did anyone notice Far Cry 3 knock-off in that scene where Arya kills the Night King?
I was actually expecting that Bran will warg the blue-eyed dragon . And save all humanity
The hound being afraid to fight until he saw Arya fighting
i think the hound was afraid of fire
He feared the fire and lost hope when he saw how outnumbered they were. That is, until he laid eyes on our girl Arya, kicking ass.
Not afraid, but hopeless
NR your right.. He felt hopeless. Thats a better word
G.R.I. T.S.843 🙌🙌❤️❤️
I want to say special thanks to Melissandre and her fire tricks, without her we wouldnt have been able to see 💩 #RedWitch #TheRealMVP

OUTSTANDING Episode!
GREAT review!
EXCELLENT COMMENT at the end!
Thank you!
I know some people have a problem with this episode but one of the things I did like was how the dagger that was used on an attempt on brans life in the very first episode is also the same dagger that saves his life
2nd episode
Didn’t she give the dagger to sansa? I assumed she picked up a ransoms dagger

@@TheCaittFraser no, she gave a dragonglass dagger to sansa, she killed the night king with her valyerian steel dagger :)
@@lucaswilliamson1189 O good point! I hadn't even thought of that yet! There's so much stuff like this that makes this episode incredible! I think all of the haters are just butthurt that it didn't go the way they wanted it to go.
Nah Props go to the Little Bear Lyanna Mormont, the littlest warrior took down the biggest enemy. RIP House Mormont.
I agree. She will forever be Lyanna Giantsbane for me now.

Killed me to hear her little bones break! Amazing sound effects!!!!
Yes that's who I give props to..GANGSTA!!
Cathy Nazarko it killed her as well.
If you think this has a happy ending you haven't been paying attention
I loved it, I was getting really stressed towards the end because the built up with the music seemed to take forever but when I saw the wights hair move I knew it was arya and I had a mini heart attack when the NK grabbed her throat, I was jumping when she stabbed her, so glad it was her that got to kill him.
I also loved the fact the hound was freaking out and had lost all hope but one mention of arya and he was back in the game I love that he cares for her 💙
Everybody had that reaction..even the haters!!
Emily Gregory The hound chasing after her pissed me off he’s the hound he doesn’t give a fuck about anyone but himself this shit is now fan service...
Night King: No one could kill me.
Arya: A girl is no one.
That is so good
How did Arya get the dagger again? She gave it to Sanza.
Paolo Galvez Arya gave a dragon glass dagger to Sansa
@@15siopao bran gave it to her
So true
Theon and Jorah were the MVP's of this episode for me.
My mvps were Melisandre and Arya
@Merle Keller-DIckey I mean he was Daenerys last day one companion and it seems her camp are going to leave her after she takes the throne if she takes the throne.
mine was the little bear mormont
FOR SURE.....more so Theon, both battling back with their redemption stories, dying to protect the ones they betrayed.....they both died well.
Gray worm too, the unsullied are great soilders
Tbh, I _am_ disappointed about the lack of a backstory for the Night King. Who was he before he was stabbed by the Children of The Forest? Was he chosen by the Children of The Forest for a particular reason? Who were his parents? Was he a Stark? Like...are _any_ of the theories about him right? What was the point of making these episodes longer if not to have time to tie up loose ends? Heck, if need be, I think they could have cut some other stuff from the show and given us some _actual_ background on the Night King. I don’t think it was the best choice for them to not address his background _at all._ 😒
Hopefully we get to know about that after all this season is over, I heard about before GOT season coming up
They did back when explaining Brans time warping. He's a Stark. It was back around the whole Hodoor explanation. Children of the Forest created him from a stark bc they kept killing the trees. He saw bran in the warp, poof, NK.
Wait till the prequel, coming next year
Winter is coming = Evil is coming
Winterfell = Evil fell/lost
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW VERY GOOD OBSERVATION
And that makes everything ok.......
ItsZlay look up why it’s called winter fell then come back dumbass
13:35 in my opinion the purpouse of Jon Snow is simply to reunite the living. And this is why Melisandre brought him back. Without him this battle wouldn't have happend.
Battle of the Bastards. Would the Boltons have held Winterfell? Not a chance.
CORRECT. WHICH IS WHY DAENEY INVITED HIM TO DRAGONSTONE. IT WAS UP TO MELISANDRA TO MAKE HIS ENTREE INTO DAENEYS WORLD POSSIBLE.
@@WS-1638 LAUGHABLE. Imagine? Those fools just squatted there and never realized where they were at!
@@ceciliamiller975 That phalanx seen in Battle of the Bastards was pretty cool. The shields would have been a perfect diving board for the dead, though.
Also John being in winterfell is what made Arya abandon her plan to keep marking names off of her list and go back home. If she had not she wouldn't of been where she needed to be to kill the knight king at that time. Like Bran keeps saying everything you did leads you to where you are now. If not for John just being there Arya would of went to kings landing killed the queen then went west of westros
Also, there for a minute I swore that Tyrion and Sansa were going to kill each other so they would not have to endure death from the white walkers. When they were sitting behind the tomb and they pulled out their knives it had me! I started screaming no no no!😂
💘
Michelle jackson I was thinking that too
I thought they were going to kiss then go and kick withe walker's asses
Nah, just more stupidity! One moment looking at each other in painful anticipation of death, to the next.. dum dee dum lets go see what's going on over here lol. WTF! Just par for the course in this truly horrible episode. Poorly written poorly lit hodgepodge of blacked out blobs running across the TV screen smh. Really bad on so many levels.
I thought they will enjoy sansa's 1st time and tyrion's 9999th time.
Omg i thought the same shit!!!!!!!
He said, Sit down, you brought like literally 56 soldiers, I think you're overstepping your boundaries, little one'.....lmaaaaaaaaaooooooooooo
THANK YOU!!!!!!! That's what I've been thinking that whole time.
I think and no offense..even though I love watching all the predictions on CZcams...the plot twist in got episode was that there was no plot twist.and all these channels are overthinking so much.
I feel you but trust me this was no where near disappointing as Pretty Little Liars
exactly.
I know right? Like how many channels were spending season after season predicting R+L=J only to realize that they were completely off...oh, wait...Well, it's not like George R.R. Martin was actually paying attention to them, and even stating that a few of the those predicting had some of the twists right...oh, wait...well, it's not like...
But I have seen a few videos, I think Bridge4 was one of them, who had said, watch this move by Arya on Brianne, This will be the move she does to bring down the Night King. They were spot on. Because it was also something Sirio taught her, why he would throw the sword to her. Then, they clued it with the "What do we say to death"
It's such a fucking easy cop out. Writers realize they can't compete with the collective theory think tank so instead they decide to bypass story, logic and drama and call it 'Subvert expectations'. It's just lazy storytelling. Same happened with 'The Last Jedi'.
How about Jamie and Brienne using Ned Starks sword(s) to defend Winterfell
What about it? Not all that remarkable to be honest
They already had his sword. It was melted into two. Biranne had one and Jamie had the other.
The bigger question is, If Jaime & Brienne get married, will they adopt Pod?
@@mohmoony3918 lol
ice was purchased in valyria and had magic woven into it to always protect the north, the spells probs still work.

Really good commentary. Lmao @ there’s dragons flying around, you really wanna question how aria got there so fast.😂😂😂
No body is talking about the fact that Drogon sensing his mothers despair, over Jorahs death puts himself in a position to protect Danny while she morns .... I love the fact that the crew added this, it really puts a deeper perspective to their relationship. Don’t you... or did you just blow over that part also.
I just thought it looked awkward as fuck tbh.
I thought it was sweet.. I noticed!

Fans: So why show the Night King's creation?
Why show the symbols on the caves in Dragonstone?
Why show the Night King sending us messages since episode 1?
Why revive Jon?
Staff: We ran out of episodes to make a decent conclusion in.
True story 😂
oni zuka; I think *Bran knows the Answers* and perhaps will *Tell Us* to for some *Closure!* Since *He's the Embodiment of History!* Who knows what *He has left to Tell!* 😎
So, Instead of letting our Prince that was promised wonder aimlessly on a cloudy map searching for side quests. Then getting stuck on a cool (overleveled) ice dragon boss for hours instead of sticking with the mission I have a better idea.
So everything starts the exact same after melisandre lights the sword. Then I think you have to change mostly everything.
First,They split the dothraki out wide, and let the wave of wights charge. The Unsullied holding fits perfect here. The dothraki do major damage on the outside as the unsullied hold the line. After a long fight the main characters start encountering the 10 white walker generals one at a time. Each of the generals killed drops a chunk of the wight army. The white Walker generals see that our heroes represent The 7 gods. The lord of light. The old gods. The drowned god. The gods are all here, and the generals see that Jon and Dany are above fighting off the night king and also taking out thousands of wights.
Meanwhile Jon, Dany, and Night King have been battling dragons in the air as they did in the episode basically. They use the fact there is two of them to harass the night king and also the army when needed badly. A few crashes happen, but they get back up somehow and keep riding. One crash has the night king almost kill Dany as Jon swoops in and they fly off somehow. All three battle as our heroes are dropping white Walker generals on the ground. (This would be the best part in my opinion. The mini bosses.)
We pan down to a dothraki fire sword charge on what seems to be like a possibly beatable army of wights when the nights king takes out almost all the dothraki with blue flame. The heroes that are fighting the last white Walker general and his horde of wights see the dothraki dead and retreat inside the gates. Everyone is together and have fallen back to the main keep. With some Unsullied living.
In the crypts there is no fighting. They have deep conversations and are letting all secrets fly, because they think the world is over. Wine drinking.
Rhagael is injured in the fight. Drogon and Dany are crashed in the distance and look dead.
There ice dragon continously is being fought over by Bran and the nights king by warging. Jorah sees from the wall Dany hurt, and heads to her. Jorah defends her to his death.
The last huge group of wights are all over the castle. They are led buy a unique looking second in command white Walker bad a$$ that seems unbeatable to Tormund, The hound, arya, jaime, gendry, beric, breanne, (all heores) and then Melisandre looks at Arya says Valor Moghulus. Melisandre then runs in front of Davos as he is being approached by the White Walker and bursts into flames. Taking out the last of the night kings generals, and a huge chunk of the night's king army.
As they kill the last white Walker in command, the night king sees it and wants to raise more dead, but he's busy fighting with Jon Snow. They have fought through the gates down the street to the godswood. All while Jon fights off wights.
The whole battle has shown Bran warging people. On the battlefield. On the walls. In the crypt. Using people to watch Jon and Arya. He improves average fighters. Gives heroes eyes in the backs of their heads. He's useful.
Theon sees Jon fighting and blows a horn. Now the plan is in action. All our heroes hear the horn and begin to move to the godswood. The night's king is trying repeatedly to raise more dead, but Jon won't give up. He can't beat the night's king but he can't stop fighting. Jon's wounded in the arm. As the nights king kills Theon he turns and goes to end Jon snow. tormund gives his life to save Jon. Jon jumps back in the sword fight injured. None of the other heroes can get to the night king near the heart heart tree because he controls a lot of wights still. It looks bad for everyone. Bran cant find anything useful to warg. Jon is driven back.
The night king has control of viserion again.
Dany somehow mounts Drogon, thanks to Jorah's help. Both her and the dragon are in great pain. As you see dany kill the ice dragon both her and Drogon immediately fall back to the ground.
Jon is battling the shit out of the night king when he sees Dany fall. Jon isn't gonna make it much longer. heroes are fighting wights. everyone's backs against the wall and on the brink of death.
As they night king throws Jon snow against a wall, he turns to end Bran. He says "I've foresaw all this since I touched your arm. No man can kill me Bran, and soon there will be no men left to try. Im inevitable." He raises his sword to kill Bran , but Ghost comes out of nowhere and slams the night king. The night king and ghost wrestle until he manages to kill the wolf. Jon tries to save him but can't.
As Jon and the night king are battling next to Bran, who is scared to see the wolf ripped apart, all looks lost. The night king throws Jon away again and this time Rhagael comes swooping in and melts the nights king with dragon fire. Rhagael wrecks onto the night king weak and injured. The wights all drop. It's over.
Did Bran warg Ghost? Did Bran warg Rhagael? Did Jon Snow warg either. Is it that his wolf and dragon want to die for him?
Arya can have several badass white Walker kills. Everyone can team up to defeat the mini bosses. Jon cant defeat the night's king in single combat no matter what he tries. Nobody else can stand with him against the night king. He fights and fights until the wolf and dragon help him. Wich makes him special. Also he's special cause of honor or whatever Ned Stark called it.
Since he has Ghost, Dany, and Rhagael and he is the Prince that was promised he wins. BTW
My daughter's name is Arya. She's 6. I love this series. Written on a call phone. Sorry
I guess it's a way to show Daenerys how the night king is created, she also know the dragon fire is harmless to the night king, so she knows he is tagarion, later i think bran gonna tell her how the night king is created by accident. so when all hopes lost, she is gonna turn herself into the nigt queen and sit on the iron throne by herself. @@Hoosier765
They didn['t run out, they WANTED to end it sooner, instead of just changing show runners who actually would want to make the show

I have to return some videotapes what? They were all there because of him... she was going to kill Cersei until she found out Jon took back winterfell. LOL you can discount all Jons actions that lead up to this shit. That’s why it was so good because if Jon killed him it would have been stupid.
One thing a lot of people missed is that towards the end of episode 3, approximately an hour and 5 mins in, you can see Arya flying past a wight attacking a woman on the ground within the crypts. She is likely enroute to the NK at this point. This occurs just before they show Sansa and Tyrion hiding behind that tomb.
The keen eyed would also have noticed one of the wights in the crypts looked remarkbly like a rotted version of Maester Lewin. The wight has the typical Maester robes on albeit tattered along with a rusted Maester chain.

It's also a TV show, not the books. You know a TV show is going to be somewhat "smaller" in scope.
Great review and you share my exact sentiments about this episode
I just subscribed because you warned me about volume. Respect ✊
I think we may get more of a backstory of the night king through the eyes of Bran, we still don’t know where he went during the entirety of the battle. That stare down they had, I feel like there was more to be explained. I feel like maybe he manipulated some events to occur the way they did.
Yasna Astorga I agree with you comments . I think Bran is going to explain more about NK
If ANYTHING happened it was piss poor explained, as they showed absolutely nothing, not a hint, nothing, zero.
So whatever Bran did, in this episode they did jack shit.
Yasna Astorga I said the same thing like what was bran doing?!
really hope to get a little backstory..although I doubt there is much time for it during the remaining episodes?
I think the reason people are pissed, is that the main threat is done with. Now it's back to politics and who gets to sit on the point chair. Imagine if Lord of the rings killed of Sauron in the two towers and return of the king was people arguing about how to split up mordor. This episode came two episodes to early.
That is just how I feel. I liked the episode, I do, but it feel cheeted that the Big bad Evil wasn’t the endgame, but silly little Cersei is.
Justey Piltover i liked the battle it made sense it ended here bc if the nightking won the war would be won for him, I just think the plot armor and how arya stuck up on him were a little obnoxious.
Justey Piltover, I think people are pissed off because HBO shoved the NK down our throats as the biggest threat. But it’s really the Lion Queen who’s the real threat (she always was); she’s the one who’s actively playing the Game.
Remember it’s called Game of Thrones not Game of the Night King. It’s all about who ends up on the Iron Throne.
Exactly! This should have the pentultimate episode! Also, what was the point of all the buildup about the prophecy of Azor Ahai???
Fantastic work mate
hey dude, I loved your westworld vids and just finally got caught up on GoT in time for the end of it all. I always enjoy your perspective. I was pretty happy with the episode
George Martin: the villain is the hero of the other side
Dan and Dave: night king bad
While there were many things I enjoyed about the episode I have to say it about what I expected.. and for a show that's known for subverting and obliterating my expectations I was left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed.
But what do I know? I'm just an idiot thats not qualified and dosent understand good television. I do, however, know a thing or two about good writing and sadly the show has been lacking in that aspect since season 5.
I've studied writing for years and this episode was terribly written and seem to be David Benioff vanity project. So I agree.
Battle was great, WAY to many main characters survived which was stupid. I like the motives of the nightking. It makes sense. Hes not a complex multidimensional villian like cersei. Hes a weapon meant to exterminate humanity
Bill Johnson since Season 4...I agree brother
Exactly, like, I still enjoyed the episode, but there was supposed to be no plot armour this season, everyone can die, except... oh no the dead are coming out the crypts!!!! don't worry literally every main character down there survived...
@@robertwright4906 And the tell us this after 5 years of theorizing in a oneliner by Bran. Wow.
People are wondering why the best way they could think of to kill the Night King was Arya just jumping from offscreen with no setup, and your defense of that is "There's dragons and a dude raising the dead, its just a fantasy bro dont think about it." That's the whole problem. Game of Thrones has always been better than that. Now it's just like everything else.
Game of Thrones the books have always been better than that. The TV show not so much. Even more after they outpaced the books. Your expectations are a little high for a writer of a TV show to be as good as GRRM. So the advice is pretty much right, just enjoy and don’t think about it. And wait for the books to get you what you’re looking for.
I think the writing was true to the show’s characters-I mean, they’ve been setting her up since we first saw her as a little tomboy in the first episode. She’s now a full-fledged assassin (and a pretty kick ass one at that). Barring that, I agree that we could have gotten a little bit more with regard to her just showing up...a little bit of stalking or *something* something to create suspense. I was thrilled that Arya was the one to do actually take out the NK, but...yeah. lol 🤷🏻♀️
Literally the stupidest argument ever. That made me so mad when he said that, its such an illogical and arrogant statement.
@@gtcrain3687 I see what you mean. But I dont even think they're that high. I had no issue with Arya killing the Night King, or even that his motivation wasn't that interesting. Just like KitchenWitchen said, any shot of her stalking through White Walker ranks would've helped. Or maybe stealing one of their faces? Or Bran distracts him with ravens while Arya gets the killing blow. Or dream scenario, Bran wargs into Ghost, and him and Jon fight the Night King together while Arya sneaks up to finish him off. Stark family team up. It doesnt have to be super deep, just damn. Anything?
Love love love your reviews. Can't wait till winds of Winter. Be blessed brother
This episode was AMAZING!!
I love how the hound went back for Arya. She gonna be famous next episode
The Night King finally understands why everyone hates the rogue class.

What strategy? Only strategy I saw was to keep everything lit so poorly that no one could actually see what was going on. It was reminiscent of a no budget poorly written class B horror movie. It had its moments of course but overall, it was mostly just crap.

Yeah, it was a great episode!! And Arya taking out the Night King was MAGNIFICENT! Arya doing it was great and fitting.
If there was a betting contest. Alot of people would have lost a fortune when they all said Greyworm was gonna die n turn into a wight.
All those comments got me scared while I wanted to place a bet that he and many other characters will survive episode 3. It would be 350% profit just for Greyworm and 20x my money by adding few more. But everyone were saying how half of them gonna die here and I didn't place any bets on who will survive this episode.

@@kennethcaseyjr.5584 she is alive standing next to Sansa after NK was killed
@@lukaszthewin2772 yes I seen that when I watched it again yesterday.
Something being expensive to make or taking a lot of effort does not indicate its quality. "People need to learn what goes into making an episode like this." What should go into an episode like this is forethought and good writing.
rubywings I agree with you 100 percent!!! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed watching the show. But the dialogue is watered down and the script has become a GOT for Dummies (meaning those For Dummies books that breaks things down in simpler terms..I’m not calling the fans dummies). Still an entertaining show but unfortunately without GRRM’s flare. Tyrion who had the best lines has literally been reduced to cock and ball jokes and/or comments.
Episode 3 was AMAZING!!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole episode.

They built up the Arya scene since, like Season 7, I think. Bran gives her the cats paw, her switching the weapon with Brienne and even Arya's sneaking through the wights in the library showed how she could "sneak" on the White Walkers.
It was actually foreshadowed ever since season one, especially during the Syrio scenes. "You are a sword."
She doesn't even have to "sneak". The White walkers are always calm and focused ahead. At that point they were not expecting someone to just waltz through. It becomes pretty easy for Arya to just dash in for a WTF moment where their reaction time would be a little slow by the time she has the jump on the NK.
At least you get it, How can people not understand how she did it? A lot of people are butt hurt that Jon didn’t do it he was there to unite the people. If Jon fought the NK in a sword fight him winning it would be more unlikely. (Unless he did summon lightbringer) some human who has decent sword skills kills a supernatural being with Superior sword skills? It makes sense to kill NK off guard.
Excellent point many had missed. That library scene had one major goal and still, so many dumb haters missed it :)
She moved like the wind in the trees... heard that before? ... a fresh breeze of justice... and when the nk thought he had her a slight move... dropping the knife to catch it with her other hand caught the nk off guard just long enough for Arya to save the world... EPIC
I am glad that someone besides myself understands the work and effort that goes into making a show like game of thrones . There is a reason that you do not see tv shows like this on every other channel .
I I am so happy you hit on the dagger move immediately because that was one of the things I noticed right off the cuff and I think a lot of people didn't notice that but that was something that she learned a long time ago but I don't remember when she learned it.
Melisandre emphasized BLUE EYES not brown. Sh was obviously referring to the Night King, who has the brightest blue eyes of anyone, when talking to Arya about everyone she has killed, or as she puts it," Eyes she has closed forever"
The green eyes will be Cersei.
Also at this point Arya killed pretty much the entier house of Frey, how big are the chances there wasn't anyone with brown OR green eyes? I agree with your statement, the emphasis was clearly on “blue“ eyes. That doesn't mean she won't kill Cersei, but after delivering two major death scenes with Baelish last season and NK this season, I think it's someone elses turn next. Otherwise it get's really repetetive...
Arya killed Ser Meryn Trant, who murdered Syrio Forel. Meryn was the one with brown eyes
Alex K u said it urself, the other Frey’s deaths wasn’t major
@@kd3440 well, Walder's death sort of was major, in an emotional sense, I think we as the audience really “enjoyed“ that one. But the thing is, there aren't too many “big“ enemy characters left to be killed. It's mainly Cersei and Euron. I'm hoping Yara get's to have Euron, so that just leaves Cersei. There are many characters who want to see her dead, most for more personal reasons than Arya. And I think having both big enemies of this season killed by the same person would be really boring. I could see either one of her brothers killing her or, weirdly enough, Brienne. Protecting Jaime maybe. There has to be a reason she's still alive. And come to think of it she is set up as a sort of mirror character to Cersei. Brutish, honest, loyal, very un-ladylike and un-political. Cersei as a pretty, scheming, self-serving Lady. Jaime in the middle of them, his character arc leading from one to the other. It would be very poetic and a twist on the typical triangular story.
I love how every channel is overthinking all the posibilities that can happen yet the story at the moment is just so straight forward.
Exactly right so many theories are out the window
That's not a good thing... That means the fandom is more creative than the writers. The NK death was horrible.
@@kennyhouser3467 No it means you caught the Hype Train to Unrealistic Expectations Town and got disappointed by your own bullshit.

@@chemnitzfan654 Unrealistic Expectations = Expecting the writers to follow through on the lore they've teased us with for 8 seasons and not deus ex machina it and call it a day.
Random nonames get chopped up by walkers. Jamie, Brienne, and Sam have multiple cuddle sessions with unarmed walkers. SUCH SUPERB WRITING.
Yeh this is probably the only thing so raised my brows at. If they used less white walkers attacking them it would have been a little better.
aye, sam literally crys on the ground at one point.
Judging someone's writing capabilities because of such small meaningless details.. yep. Sounds about right. *facepalm*
@@saltlessbread Kind of an important detail. Like 1 the whole battle hinges on. Couldn't have been the dead from Hardhome. They would have ripped them apart...litterally.
@@seanmoyer4563 It was necessary to make the ending more intense, to make the audience feel like there was no hope. And that was achieved. And there's dragons and 'zombies'. Not gonna complain about a few characters not dying just for the sake of accuracy lol
Finally, somebody who loved and appreciated the episode! It was epic. Did anybody else spot Varys whispering to a little bird in the crypt? Not seen anybody mention it.
Arya killed Little finger (brown eyes), Night king (blue eyes) with that dagger, so next must be cercei (green eyes)😉
Walder had brown eyes too.
Also, remember he prophecy that a brother was gonna kill Cercei, I have a theory that Jamie is going to die and Aryna will use his face to kill her.
Ayush Anand I promise you she’s not the one that killed her
@@garytriano13 Then who could it be
Also that younger brother theory is in the book not the show so maybe arya will kill her or they will tell us about the prophecy later
What else did u miss? Jon continuing to stride on to help Bran rather than dany to try to accomplish the objective! THAT is a ruler.
Kathy Fahey and he passed up helping Sam as well!
Jon knows the only way to save everyone is to kill the night king asap. Going around saving prople would only delay their deaths. Nighy King had viseryon pinned Jon down, but he underestimated Arya the badass ninja assassin.

i though night king is gonna talk...but he smile
Saifu Nazer that gave me goose bumps 😩
PROOF that the Night King is NOT coming back:
"Brown eyes. Green eyes. Blue eyes. Eyes that you will shut FOREVER"
dararebreed the proof is us watching him turn into ice during the episode smh
@@donjamel5228so...let me get this right. You believe that the Night King has been flesh & blood for all these thousands of years? You think he JUST turned into ice a second before he died? SMH
dararebreed in regards to your statement, the proof that the night king is dead is by him crumbling once Arya stabbed him in the episode. He was essentially “uncreated” at that point which is the language used by the directors to describe this event. No more proof needed or more analyzation of words than what we saw on screen.
@@donjamel5228 I completely understand why that would be all the proof that someone like you would need. The reason so many other people aren't convinced is because a person's body being destroyed (someone who's simultaneously inhabiting thousands of other bodies, and a dragon, at the same) isn't very convincing proof that he is actually gone or not able to come back. People are.also aware tha, in the books, a person with the same ability survived in another living creature after his physical body was killed.
Just different levels of logic & understand. That's all. SMH
Btw...you didn't answer either of my questions.
"Who killed the Night King?"
"No one"
I wish people would give Bran some props for orchestrating the victory. His behind the scenes manipulation of everyone including the NK made the victory possible. Everyone had a part to play especially Jon, but Bran secretly orchestrated everyone’s part.
