  • We embarked on a trip to remote hot springs in British Columbia. The hot springs had melted away a 20 foot deep avalanche that resulted in a wall of snow hanging above the pool. The water was about 108° and needed a constant supply of snow & ice to keep at an enjoyable temperature.
Our trip involved multiple means of transportation. We used snowmobiles to travel a long distance into the wilderness along existing logging roads. Once deep into the mountains, we left the snowmobiles and skied to a large creek, which we crossed using an existing cable. Continuing on skis, we toured up the side of a mountain, over an avalanche until we reached the avalanche chute where the hotsprings were located.
