- I didn't even know Nikko baits made some of these plastics. I just HAD to throw them. Definitely some great baits and had a blast using them.
In respect of local anglers I do NOT name any river/stream that I fish. Please respect my "no-name" policy and do NOT post the names of any spots in the comments. Thank you for understanding!

Nice catches, and beautiful stretch of water. That hook for the super ned, for Texas rig, try the Zman BulletZ. They have a keeper specifically for stretchy plastic. Keeps it from sliding down.
@swiperrt Yeah, I use the BulletZ a ton. I really like it.
New subscriber, can’t wait to dive into all of your videos. I definitely enjoy what I have already seen. Thank you.
@waltgr6470 I am glad you like it. I have (I think..) like 100s of videos that are of a similar vein. Welcome on :)
@@HaightsWanderings My wife and I are considering retiring in the UP so your videos are a great selling point for the region.
@waltgr6470 It's better to visit in the summer. The winters are really not the best. If I could - I'd only live here from May to October. Good luck with your search!
You have some rare baits!! That sculler shad is no longer available and the big octopus in both sizes are very difficult to find.
I regularly catch smallmouth and largemouth on Nikko's 6" octopus. They are definitely unconventional, but they work well for me.
@sbarrett8900 Wow, I had no idea. I found them in my box and had to take them out. I need to find a better way to rig the big octopus. My rigging of it doesn't seem ideal. I actually used the super ned and hellgramite today while guiding.
Those hellgrammites are one of the lures I keep on me nearly all the time to save me from the skunk. On a drop shot they KILL.
@ericwakeman6665 Yeah, I like them too. I have not tried them on the drop shot I don't think. The drop shot in rivers in Michigan is illegal which is just silly and I hope they fix that rule soon.
@@HaightsWanderings ummm… oops…
@@ericwakeman6665 Maybe it's different downstate Michigan?
I’d assume the intention of that rule would be out of concern about weight below a hook and snagging?
@@ericwakeman6665 I think you're right. I believe it's in place to stop salmon snaggers. Really is silly for those of us in places without salmon... :)
How's the cell phone service in your area?
@DetroitHomeInspector It's not great. Generally not at all on the rivers.
