    Hi there, Liron here! Today I want to share my 2 cents regarding watercolor, nature, and stepping out of the way.
    I feel, in retrospect, it was a big part of creating this painting.
    I hope you'll enjoy this one!

    I realized that my watercolour paitings look best when i just let them do whatever they want, like you said.
    And i really appreciate that now. It's hard to "let go" when you are more of a perfectionist, but watercolours behave absolutely wonderful on their own!

    As you said with "let the nature do its thing" or so... We are often to much of a perfectionist and when paint doesn`t go the way or doesn`t follo w the lines we wanted it to supposed to be, it`s very hard to accept.
    But, we keep learning.
    Also with your help! Thank you for that and all the best for 2024

    Understanding in my creative part of brain...this concept of freedom in art..let the nature it's thing ...is not easy. It has to be experienced I think

    Honestly your first small painting hit me directly than the other ones...I don't know why

    This was very helpful! I’m going to try a larger painting and I need to trust that I can’t always control what the water does. I may still try a smaller version first.

    Hi Liron. I just received your book about" How to sketch PEOPLE."😀 I have really struggled with people and most of all the hardest for me were HANDS! I love this book! You really have everything in it that I have been having such a hard time with. Thank you so much! I highly recommend it.

    M Graham's Cad Red Light sits opaque if you use a heavy mix. I did a field of coffee plants with the cherries all over and it worked great to sit above the greens.

    Not vague really - tho I get frustrated I finally remember that that is exactly what drew me to watercolor - it is still magic to me! You are always so spot on - thank you for sharing 🙏

      Frustration over tiny thing like art hobby is a clear indication of artist’s mental health illness/disorder. Artistic process helps to identify those, and work on improving mental health over time.

    Would you say, that as the inspirational artist that you are, you are still learning & achieving something new with every painting that you do? Have you tried Meeden 100% cotton watercolour paper-- it's supposed to stay wetter for longer & the colours stay vibrant & blend well.

    Sorry but it's not 4x larger, its actually 2x larger (8 1/2 x 2 = 17).. I know, it's not what matters in the end..

      But it’s doubled in both dimensions; not just along one side, so it’s 4 times larger lol. And we can see with our eyes 4 small paintings fit in the larger one. 😊
      Really cool painting Liron!

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yeah it's a little confusing (:
      When you double it, you're actually doubling one of the dimensions (either hight or width).
      I doubled both 😁

      You are mathematically correct, Liron! It’s sad to see rather low arithmetic skills, which are normally taught in kindergarten level… lol @@LironYan

    Nothing wrong with adding pastels to your watercolours. It's called 'mixed media' ;-)

    • @mikenoneofyourbusiness7122
      @mikenoneofyourbusiness7122 Před 4 měsíci

      No need to label ot at all. It’s a fine art piece! Real artists use whatever materials required to achieve their vision. I find term “mixed media” usually refers to uggly crafts done by people without a refined artistic taste.
