- UIL 6A State Championship Game was held at Alamodome (San Antonio, TX). This battle was between Duncanville High School (Duncanville, TX) vs Klein Forest High School (Houston, TX). The traditional Dallas vs Houston battle for all the marbles. A lot of top prospects were on display for this grand finale.

What's sad is that Duncanville didn't get to finish off their title defense and take both the Girls and Boys state titles in the same year. They got to the final four before the tournament was called off.
