The main issue of this tutorial is to give a tip on how to deal with square corners when sewing cushions or covers for some project using a flatbed sewing machine. This method can be applied for vinyl, leather or fabric.
In fact, to alleviate or facilitate the sewing procedure in these cases is advisable the use of a postbed sewing machine...it is easier to do the turns on the corners.
After watching the video, you would realize that the 'first closing sewing' is easy...the problem comes with the 'second overstitching sewing' at the time of reaching the corners...the two keys to solve the problem are the 'little foot as a guide' and 'the applying of glue' to baste the little flaps in the corners to avoid the puckering of material while sewing these parts.
In a very near future, there will be in my website, real size upholstery projects, including the promised 'how to leather cover car steering-wheels'.
It is important to have good foundations, to easily tackle, any upholstery project!
I hope you enjoy the video!

Wao, applying glue at the corners @ 31:40 is a great tip for easy oversewing. Love your works, always.
25:21 absolutely brilliant how too video. I love that there's no one telling me there silly stories. Just show me how. Thank you soo much cechaflo.
You are a great master and a very good teacher. I have learned to be in control of my machine and stitches instead of them being in control of me!
you are a real craftsman and a pleasure to watch especially as you don't have irritating soundtrack. thank you for taking the time to make these very informative videos
john theoldmod Thanks for watching my videos! ...these ones are just basics that would take us to understand 'real size upholstery projects'.
john theoldmod Thanks for watching my videos! ...these basics would take us to understand 'real size upholstery projects'.
There are some people only dedicated to disqualify the work of someone without providing a minimum. I think the right thing would be to give an opinion about what seems wrong or demonstrate with facts instead of 'clicking' in a nonsense way.
I want to note all of these videos are free and aimed to people who only is really interested in learning something.
Cechaflo it's this whole I know everything because I saw a video. ignore the trolls. you have crazy mad skill
Amen! Too much judgement. There are several different methods of doing things. When it comes to sewing, others may opt to do it differently. If their method works for them, fine. If they think their method is superior, they should demonstrate it. This allows the viewer different methods to try and see what works best for them. Frankly, I don't see how anyone could create such a crisp corner any other way. What you've demonstrated here is, in my opinion, is the best way to sew crisp and clean square corners.
Like you, I can not understand the negativity. To complain about a free instructional tutorial is beyond arrogant and rude.
I thank you for taking the time to film, edit, and post your amazing work and skills. In addition to showing the best way to achieve beautiful corners, you've also demonstrated different thread patterns. Again, free of charge. Bravo..
Thank you so very much for your assistance. Do you have a website for placing orders? Are you in the US or ship to the US?
Cheers from Seattle!
Those who can!...Do!...Those who Cannot!...Criticise!....Well Done Cechaflo, keep up the good work Mate

i was struguling with corners but with this video NO MORE, TNKS very helpful
i liked this video within a minute into watching, and now I am in 6th minute I feel the need to write a comment because it is the best video i saw about sewing a boxing for a vinyl upholstery. it is so good that the quality of the content in written description and the video itself makes up for no verbal instruction. thank you mr. tailor!
Very useful video, just what I needed for my project. And no annoying background music. Thank you sir!
I am glad the videos are useful!

Thank you so much for this video!!!!!! I've used it several times to make some square pieces. I honestly have almost no experience sewing but I made two washing machine covers and bench cover using your technique. The washing machine cover that you helped me make already saved me a ton because someone put a bucket of water with a crack in it on the top of the machine so the water leaked but it only pooled on the cover. You are very clear in your instruction and your work is clearly professional!
I am glad these videos are useful!
Great, you have made a cover for your washing machine! I did mine a few years ago.
It has been more than 7 years and the machine is well preserved. I used 'binding' all around the seams instead. Something like this cover for my sewing machine: czcams.com/video/cEE5np14daw/video.html
Welcome to the channel anytime!
To be more precise this was the 'binding' method I used for my 'washing machine cover' : czcams.com/video/q7XJV4qc1a4/video.html
Wow, I see what you mean. Probably the binding would make the cover even more secure to water. Looks very nice too. Thank you!
@@5arah1 Besides, it adds more firmness to the seams shaping the cover.

So nice to find a true professional who provides clear, precise instructions without saying a word! Excellent!
I really appreciate you're watching my videos!
Man, I suddenly really want to upholster a box. That looks so nice! Thanks for the tips.
This is great. I just purchased an industrial sewing machine. I'm already good at woodworking small boxes, and with this knowledge; I could be making some really incredible items. Upholstering is so interesting, that finished look is worth so much just because of the perception someone has when feeling those materials in their hands, smelling them, and seeing your beautiful stitch work. Great videos, I'm going to be studying, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
TheRicchini I am really impressed and satisfied!! ...Great, the videos are useful!

Very, Very Nice. Well Done, Very Informative. Thank You So Much For Your Videos
I just gotta say I'm addicted to watching your videos man! You're really good at visually demonstrating, without a spoken word, no annoying music, no promotional intros, and you only rarely use written comments where needed. The majority of CZcamsrs could learn a lot from you. Not to mention you're extremely skilled at your craft. Thanks for what you do!
I really appreciate your kind comment!
Welcome to this channel anytime!
@@Cechaflo So I notice you're a Pfaff fan. I know this is a loaded question, but can you recommend a used machine for 1K or less, whether Juki, Consew, Pfaff, Sailrite? For a beginner? Thank you!
@@treelogicllc9167 The trade marks you have mentioned are ok to start the upholstery craft. All of them are good and a used machine in good condition does not go beyond 1000 US Dollars.. It should be a 'walking foot/triple transportation' sewing machine with its respective reverse lever. These machines are 'heavy duty' and as a beginner we should do an effort to get one.

Perfect, what a pleasure to watch.
Very nice camera work - very helpful, thank you.
excellent, professional, impeccable quality.
I really appreciate your kind remarks!
Mad skills! Nice work. It scares the heck out of me to attempt that.
Your upholstery sewing is the very best that I have ever seen. I do wish that you would explain some of what you are doing..
Trabalha genial parabéns pelo canal ótimo conteúdo
thank you so much for sharing your wisdom. this was fascinating to watch, in order to really learn and understand!
You are welcome!
Awesome!! Thanks again for your videos GREAT help.
Joe Hernandez Thanks for kind remarks !!! ...keep on following me on youtube...I'm going to continue uploading more interesting basic upholstery videos, before updating real size projects on my website.
Another very helpful video!!! I struggled so much with the seat cushions I made for our retro RV trailer as the last corner would always have too much material due to the stretching of material as it was being sewn. If I would have done this method, my cushions would have been perfect instead of having one weird looking corner we had to then hide in the back or under a pillow.... LOL! Another skill I have learned from your video...
+Survival Citizen My good friend! ...I'm more happy than you by knowing these videos are useful! ...a very positive comment for the upholstery channel!
Spectacular!!!!
Gracias, un excelente trabajo. No hablo Ingles, pero despues de ver tu video me dio ganas de hacer lo mismo. : )
+Yagyiu Me da mucho gusto que mi video haya sido una inspiración para Ud.!
Masterfully done! Thank you for sharing your skills. I picked up a lot of info on this one. I recently bought a heavy-duty flatbed machine with no practical experience on how to use it. Watching you sew along with the excellent camera views really shed some light on the subject for me. Great sewing tips and technique. Thanks again!
wileydog420 Thanks a lot for your valuable comment !!! ...keep on following me on youtube...to understand and learn upholstery is important to have good foundations...as you can see, they are not so complicated as it seems. In a near future we'll be together tackling and enjoying real size upholstery projects. They would be displayed in my website.
