Canada Road Trip: Best Things To Do In Ontario
Vložit
- čas přidán 1. 08. 2017
- In this video, we share some of the best things to do in Ontario, including Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Canada's 150th celebration in Ottawa!
Welcome to Ontario!
Ontario is one of the biggest provinces in Canada and is home to some amazing cities, attractions, and nature ranging from the massive cosmopolitan city of Toronto to the scenic landscapes of Algonquin Provincial Park. From kayaking next to loons to experiencing Canada Day on Parliament Hill, we had such an incredible time in Ontario.
We took a helicopter over Niagara Falls, interviewed refugees in downtown Toronto, experienced the world's largest escape room just outside of Ottawa, and sampled award-winning wines near Niagara-on-the-Lake. We really packed a lot of adventures into our two short weeks in the province and can't wait to return one day and explore the province further.
We explored Ontario from June 28 - July 14, 2017.

Canada's Road to 150 is a 150-day Canada-wide multi-media road trip celebrating Canada's 150th birthday by exploring the uniqueness of this country provincially and collectively while answering the question; What makes Canada special?
We will drive to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. Our aim is to dig deep into what makes Canada such an incredibly inspiring country while showing off the best of Canada's tourism to Canadians and to the world.

I was born in Brampton Ontario for 23 years ago and it’s a heck of a silent auction
Une merveilleuse région
Had to watch this to see how my province was represented. Oh my goodness, the excerpt from the Syrian refugee was so touching 😭❤❤❤ I've never been to the western part of Ontario (towards Manitoba border) but you guys definitely hit all of Ontario's best spots :) That's where we take relatives and visitors when they visit us too!
We certainly hope to get back and feature the lake communities as well. Tough now haha. But thanks so much for the comment. We were hesitant to include such interviews in a tourism piece but what they say is so heart warming
I can't wait to go there lots off love❤️❤️❤️
That was great, really enjoyed seeing my province. Wish they had gone to Canada's wonderland!!

This video makes me want to visit Ontario even more !! The subtitles in french can help because I'm just an intermediate level in English. For your information, the subtitles are coming with a little delay while you're speaking. Thank you very much for this very beautiful video :)
Thank you for this video. The best part was incorporating the stories of the refugees/Immigrant.
thanks. Yeah, the one's from Syria rreally broke our hearts
Love your videos and my husband and I are having fun watching the series. Although, there’s a few castles in Canada. Here in Victoria, BC we have some great ones!
Thank you! and yes, I know haha. It really sucks that we can't update videos once published hah
@@MustDoCanada No worries at all; regardless, your videos are a super fun way to learn more about Canada! I was astonished to find out from your videos that Saskatchewan wasn't just farm land. I'm ashamed that as a Canadian, that's what I assumed lol! Can't wait to watch more :)
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪
Thats great....😃😃
Thanks!

I ♥ Ontario.
God bless Canada🇨🇦
yay ontario!
Love it! But I would have loved to see more of Northern Ontario.
Totally! Us too! We thought 150-days would be a long time but considering the size of Canada, it was less than two weeks in each province. We'll be back though!
Annie like Sudbury and Thunderbay?
Agreed. I love Northern Ontario.
@@butters9067 exactly! ^^
Nice, & interesting
Thanks!
I wonder why there isnt much likes to this beautiful video. Anyways i liked it very much. Thanks for posting :-)
I know, right! Thanks for the love :)
Kitchener is a pretty cool city too 😊 Just an hour west of Toronto.
love ontario
Wow I’m amazed and I’m in love with your tour in Canada
It will be an honor to visit this great country and amazing people
Thank you so much :)
Wow. This is great. Useful for planning my summer road trips.
Glad you liked it!
God bless Canada 🇨🇦
3:56 there’s two Scottish castles in Victoria, BC (although one is more like a house than a castle) and Wikipedia lists over 30 castles across Canada. Did the people there claim it was the only one?
Should make videos about indigenous culture
We've been trying to reach out to the indigenous tourism boards but it has not been fruitful as of yet.
wow nice
Ontario has so much more ... and second video might do it 🙂
Oh for sure. We have much more. Toronto niagara ottawa canoeing etc
MashaAllah 👍👍👍👍👍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
❤❤❤
It amazes me that people seem to think Ontario ends in Southern Ontario. You should try Northern Ontario some time and Lake Superior Provincial Park. It was voted most scenic drive in Ontario between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa. 😉
We totally agree. We've been wanting to make a video about the Lake Superior road trip but it's so hard to work with the tourism boards in Ontario for some reason. They seem so fragmented. We had planned to come this year but who knows now. If you know anyone in the tourism fields there, please pass them on.
some think Ontario only goes as south as Toronto also.... and i am surprised no one talks about lake Huron
@@d0ubled1amond We've been trying to come back for years now but the tourism boards are hard to work with
@@MustDoCanada Keep up the good work, your videos are really great and you represent the values of Canadians well. I am just a city boy born south of Detroit (Windsor) and as you know we like to share our thoughts in this country.
Definitely the nicest part of our province! Between Tbay and the Soo!
I want to swim up there ,,,, thats a huge river
Nice video ... but they missed the Sandbanks on Prince Edward County .... a county full of interesting places to see with tons of history.
There are lots we missed. So many more videos we need to make there, but it's been difficult working with Ontario tourism
The only castle in Canada? Do Hatley Castle and Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria not count as castles?
I guess it all depends on where you get the info. There's also a castle in Mexico City. Supposedly, this is the only true full-size castle in North America. But who knows...to me, a castle is like the ones in Europe. :)
I guess this could be argued but to be 100% factual, there are no "true" castles in Canada. Many call themselves castles due to the look but are really oversized mansions. Next time we do a video, we will certainly be more clear but if you know how to edit a video once it's been published, please let us know. We get hundreds of emails from people we've inspired to visit Canada and have a website where people can visit for more information on what's in the video. So thanks but If you'd like to start a travel channel, by all means, go ahead.
Rly defensive mate, dude just said theres a couple other castles
no need to be a dick
Beautiful vídeo! 👏
Truly enjoyed it. :)
Thank you!
I like it a lot!:)
Thank you!
With Ontario as my home, this video does justice to a great variety of what the province has to offer. Love it!
Thank you! We hope to com back one day and dig deeper :)
Awesome!!! Your clip is really well organized!!!
My wish I move to Canada it’s my dream but sorry I don’t have money. 😞
Do you have some skills? There are government programs to help skilled workers immigrate to Canada. Do some research and you may be able to come live with us!
I wish I had the money to move you here. I hope one day it happens for you. Wherever you are, I hope you're happy.
I wish u went to creemore it's only an hour and a half from toronto
Hello neighbour. Used to live on Caroline street in Creemore. 😊
my province i lovin it😍
Hope we can come back one day and capture more!
Would love to see Ottawa, my Niece use to live there but never made it then.If you visit again I would suggest the Kitchener Farmers Market and St Jacobs Farmers Market. And if you like theater and a historic dwn twn Stratford Ontario.
Thanks! Yeah, we would have loved to return for the fall but it didn't work out :(
@@MustDoCanada If you make it next October KITCHENER has a Huge Octoberfest.ALOT of German immigration in that area.Great videos would love to see the East coast here.
Perfect video,
Thanks for the time
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
IMO Ontario is the province with the best quality of life (income, life cost, entertainment). And yes: the nature is super!
Dunno about TO though - Like Vancouver, it is becoming too expensive
Really enjoyed your video of Calgary and Ontario. I've seen most of your videos. Your girlfriend is very charming, I love her accent. You of course, have an eye for what viewers are looking for!
Thanks for the kind words! We're glad you like it and look forward to showcasing even more of Canada, and going deeper than just the highlights :)
i love your channel a woman ms lee show us this ms lee is our teacher
Well done... but did you know that there is so so so much more to Ontario than Toronto, Ottawa, and Algonquin Park? How about Northern Ontario, Northwest Ontario, etc... I get it. It is a large province. But my top 10 places to visit in Ontario differ from your 10 top and include the entire province, not just the Southern areas. I will visit your website to see if you include us in your review.
For sure, we have lots of videos on Ontario. And more coming this year for Sudbury, Peterborough, etc
Try Kenora, Dryden, Red Lake?
Looking forward to your features on the rest of Ontario.
magnificent place
Loved the video makes me feel proud to live here! You should have visited a little farther north and seen more of muskoka and Georgian Bay Area though.
Castleloma is not the only castle in Canada. Where do you get your info from?!?! Travel 100km to Hamilton and you will see Dundurn Castle.
I m getting addicted to Canada
Hello there! I watched all your vlogs in 3 days. I love your vlogs.❤️ please tell me which city is better to live calgary or toronto if money is not an issue and you need both urban and natural life.
Very cool! Hmmm, good question. We live in Calgary, so we know more about this city. However, we have friend who did move to Toronto and came back. So, the best I can say is this. Calgary is significantly cheaper. Calgary also has much less population and because of that, I think there is more nature closer to Calgary. You would have to drive further from Toronto to find quieter nature spots. Calgary is also only an hour from the Rocky Mountains, as well as badland scenery like Drumheller. However, Toronto is a much bigger city (the biggest in Canada), and so if you're looking for that busy, lively, vibrant city life, Toronto wins. Calgary is a much quieter city. People live in the suburbs so the downtown core feels empty in the evening. Toronto always feels busy. There are much more variety of jobs in Toronto due to so many companies being there. I think work/life balance will be better in Calgary as there is less traffic etc.
@@MustDoCanada that so kind of you that you replied❤️. Does calgary lacks anything in terms of urban life such as crowded bars ,restaurants ,malls etc. Will anyone regret living in calgary if he/she wants urban lifestyle with the mixture of beautiful destinations?
@@samrathsingh9621 No it still has that but certainly not at the level of Toronto. The downtown is quite quiet in the evenings, except for nightclubs. Toronto also has very high tourism compared to Calgary and is much more dense in population. So things are busier. Calgary also gets tourists but many go to Banff. So it is quieter overall, but you can certainly still found crowded restaurants and bars
@@MustDoCanada if we don’t compare it to Toronto. Then how is calgary for living? Will people who need urban lifestyle will regret living in calgary or overall it’s nice place?
@@samrathsingh9621 Yes it's a nice place. It's still the 3rd or 4th biggest city in Canada so I'm sure it's good enough for urban lifestyle. Just not as dense as Toronto and Vancouver.
Wow😍😍
Thanks!
An awesome video! Love how you guys chose to add little special places like the cafe
Thank you :)
Good but short. I like the presentation 😍😍💝💝
Love from India.... I'll come there very soon..I'm here waiting for enter into the heaven
Did you go to Canada? If yes please confirm as my husband is planning to come to Canada on work visa
Thank you for the video, I made a promise to go visit Ontario, but by myself now.
When you make it to Toronto make sure to explore the surrounding areas, there are lots of hidden gems, subscribe to my channel to see some of them.
i went to Ontario once
Awesome
What's the name of the music in your outro.
hmm, I'm not sure the actual name of the song but we did get the music from artist.io
No wonder everyone wants to move to Canada
:) Totally
@@MustDoCanada Good thing I moved to Ontario 2 years back :)

From the beaches of South India!!

Arowhon Pines in Algonquin PArk

Superb video....👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks!
It could have been a great video if you could decrease the volume of the background music and increase the volume of your voice
The best thing to do in Ontario drive out of there hahahahaha except northern Ontario is beautiful though.
haha c'mon. Toronto and Ottawa are beautiful too. Same with Niagara, although it's hyper touristy now.
Yeah, we'd love to get back one day and check out the Northern lakes
You gotta check out muskoka!
Totally! Hoping we'll get back soon enough!
welcome

I want to come but i have to get the visa and here in pakistan there is problem with getting visa
give me invteon leter'
I'd like to know what the presenter is looking at when he's speaking to the camera, it feels like I'm getting a virtual tour from a blind man.
hha usually for interviews, you don't look directly into the camera
I love CANADA and the people of CANADA of course your loving Prime Minister JUSTIN TRUDEAU.
