IBIZA - Exploring Pamela Reif workout spots and spectacular scenery! (DJI Air3)

- Couldn't resist the temptation to get the Air3 with it's great 3x Lens earlier this year, and of course it had to go in our carry on (with it's sleak bag - no problemo!). The drone is amazing, but the true star of this video is the breathtaking landscape there. Small island but lot's of beaches to explore. What a nice trip.
Saving this clip for the winter to come might help ;)

...and also geology. I guess if you know the stuff you can see a lot from the rocks on the shore and the different layers.
Geology of this island has to be interesting, and the scale of erosion and forces at work is unimaginable. Maybe your video will be studied in future to observe how the shoreline has changed.

Hi Bear! Ocean flying is also intimidating! It's only fun once you're back over save ground ;) But the DJI is so reliable and powerful - even in stronger winds I had no worries...

Yep, looks nasty - I didn't see who it was, when it happend, but it was easy to see from above. Posted a topdown shot on twitter. Looked good tho - and then a jetski came and I think he wanted to cover up his traces - so maybe it was cuased by his yacht?
We also met an older gentleman from Spain / barcelona there. He travelled with his sailboat all the way there on his own, then he hiked up to this tower (we drove up there and only walked the last 500m :)
Looks like a boat pumped/dumped it's bing water overboard.
Was done recent to when recorded, as pattern is circular and has not drifted with wind/currents. :(

@@Rcschim In Portinax, in the north east of the island, but we traveled across the whole island. We even took the boat to Formentera one day. It was my second time on Ibiza and I think I haven't seen everything yet.
amaing shots, sweet edit. i've always loved the mini, something about the image. the first time i seen one in person and held it only served to blow my mind further, so small and light. ps. dont gingers get a free sombrero at ibiza airport?
Yep, and now they release the powerful mini 4 pro! But one thing that I really love about the air3 is the 2nd lens! The 3x telemlens just looks great and different. Also the more powerful stance in the air is a bonus. On that triangular shaped cliff spot I wouldn't have flown with the mini because it was quite windy. The large one seems unimpressed with 30kps and more of constant breeze there. Of course it felt not so risky because the wind was coming from the sea. Strong land wind near the ocean would freak me out ;)
Often here I flew against the wind and checked to see it still reached the 12m/s speed it has in normal mode, and almost 20m/s in sport.
Ah, the restraints of flying a drone in constant Nanny Mode....lol....Looked like Mavic 3?....Looked pretty windy....Not like home eh?....🤔😳😏🇬🇧
Air3. The images it takes at great, but I know what you mean. Pure fpv flight is different, this is a flying camera.

Einfach ganz normal in der Hand landen mit nach unten gedrückten Pitch Steuerknüppel, so bin ich schon gefüht hunderte male gelandet🙂
Das ist die schnellste Art wie man so einen Flug beenden kann ;) Irgendwie hab ich das Gefühl dabei kann weniger passieren als wenn man ihr Zeit lässt sich selbst abzudrehen.
@@Rcschim Aber wenn du dir denkst, dass die Drohne ja eh beim Umdrehen mit aller Kraft dagegen ankämpft kann ja beim normalen abschalten ja auch nicht wirklich was passieren, wenn du sie so gut festhältst wie beim Umdrehen.
Weiters könnte es ja auch mal passieren, dass ein Arm der Drohne beim Umdrehen einklappt und dann deinen Finger erwischt.
Ob das der Elektronik was ausmacht kann ich nicht sagen aber für die Mechanik kann das auch nicht gut sein.
Sind nur ein paar Denkanstöße meinerseits aber jeder kanns so machen wie er es für richtig hält😅

Hast vermutlich recht, die Drohne regt sich dabei eh immer auf...
Werd ich beim nächsten mal testen (also heute Nachmittag vermutlich schon, bei einem Ride&Fly)
@@Rcschim Du musst halt die flache Hand so einen halben Meter unter die Drohne halten, damit die Sensoren etwas erkennen und die Drohne auch in den Landemodus geht, sonst fliegt sie immer nach oben weg.
Habs gestern wegen Deiner Anregung nochmal getestet (an einer Stelle wo ich nicht am Boden landen konnte). Wenn ich sie Abfange und dann Gas reduziere, dauerts mir ein wenig lang, bis er aufgibt. Das auf die Seite Drehen geht schnell und einfach und schaut brutaler aus als es ist. Die Mechanik dürfte hier keinen Schaden bekommen. Jedenfalls ist die Air3 genial.

We only went there for vacation and don't live there. But yes, this is a very nice place! Felt about right to just use the flying camera. Of course a real FPV experience would have been more intense. But this way I had to carry minimum gear...
