This guy is so right - "if Nigeria wanted to stabilise the Naira, then all they have to do is sell its oil only in Naira...but then the Marines would land."

That's a stupid conspiracy. Why can't Nigeria do that? Because it is part of OPEC who would respond economically if Nigeria breaks with its agreements and its elite steal too much of its oil to meet up.

What marines? Nigeria has already sold millions of barrels in advance and spent the money. They can't get income for years.

What this guy said was NOT about how well or badly the Nigerian government manages its affairs. That is for the Nigerian people to judge.
There is no doubt that if Nigeria COULD sell its oil in its OWN currency, it would be a big boost to its economy.

Crazy how the Nigeiran government always take things backwards. Traders on Binance do not fix prices instead they trade according to what the market conditions are. There have been situations when Binance P2P prices have been less/cheaper than what is obtainable on the black market. But Nigerian officials as usual always look for who to blame for their failings except themselves and look for actual solutions to problems rather than lashing out at whoever they can use as a scapegoat

Silly people who look at quick money schemes and then wonder why development eludes Africa. Do you really think China will allow this? ...and then the world looks at the same China with amazement - "How did they pull a billion people out of poverty so quickly?" Well, certainly not by allowing speculation/ gambling! The Nigerian government is absolutely right!
