If a feature is something that cant be added via upgrades in the future (or its gonna be too expensive) then the variant that has it would be my choice. Leather seats, tires, or even the HU can be upgraded but some safety tech cant.
I wish manufacturers would stick to just 1 variant and offer the best that it can carry.

Interesting to know that the current Civic S (Base Variant) has the 1.5L Turbo Engine already and yet it is 43kg lighter than the RS variant. Having driven both already I am literally be torn between both variants. The S is more affordable, lighter, just a little bit more fun to drive and of course it still has the Honda Sensing despite being the base variant. The RS has got everything ya need already hence being the TOTL variant plus it looks a little bit better and the RS has paddle shifters which is fun to use!
the weight does not change much imo, its less than a person's weight

Type R is always manual.
Its a shame honda puts cvt on their cars. Definitely not a deal breaker though. Fuel economy will be good
Bought the RS weeks ago. I really love the looks and handling of this car. Worth it naman ang RS if you want the added comfort like the wireless charger. Legit at napaka solid din yung 12 pcs bose sound system for people like me who wants to listen to loud music during travels. And also, as a young professional mas gusto ko yung design this gen since more premium and corporate na sya unlike the previous na imho is overly designed. I was actually aiming to buy an SUV for that pricepoint originally pero when I was able to test drive it iba pa rin talaga ang comfort na maibibigay ng isang gasoline powered na sedan which is much important to me.

@@ErnestMarvinEsteban That’s great. I noticed, people nowadays realized the the advantages of a gasoline powered sedan. It’s low maintenance and has a smaller fuel tank. We’re only gonna buy diesel pick ups or SUV if we really need it on purpose.
@@paolosy1293 yes. Gasoline engines are more comfortable and relaxing to drive than its diesel counterpart. better for city driving, less maintenance, less noise, less vibration, less harshness and less rugged.

i like the 10th version/old version more. kasi kung hanap ko ay pang executive look na car. mag honda accord nalang ako. ngayon mukhang mx-5 nalang ang sporty look na pwede

The S variant 1.29m php comes toe to toe with corolla V variant 1.317m php. Would be a good comparison.
Well if youre an engine purist the s variant is a no brainer. Thats about 50hp difference and over 100nm of torque

Sana e nilabas din nila dito sa Pinas yung option na hatchback para practical talaga, na may option na 2.0L naturally aspirated lang yung engine para mas reliable in the long run. Gawin mo na ding manual. Ayos na. Car for life na.

Ang ganda ng rs. Almost 3 months waiting since reservation here sa bacolod casa. Approved narin sa bank kaso wla maibigay na kotse. Wala ma kuha na red or white sa rs dahil daw walang chips. Dream car ko civic sana dumating na rs na red this month.
Taga bacolod ka gali sir. dira ko ga work sa honda before, sa sales. kamusta imo reservation? Try ka follow up kay lestant

kung bibili ako ng Civic tapos icoconvert ko sa Type R yung hitsura oks na ba yung S version lang? parang ang mahal kasi kapag RS version tapos ipapa Type R lang rin yung bodykits

RS pa din syempre dahil sa additional curtain airbags, powered driver seats, bose sound system, remote engine start, wireless charger, rear aircon vents tsaka rear charging points.

I Agree Martin at 1.690m there are better choices especially within the Crossover and SUV segment, (even the base Variant has tough competition at its price point)
SUVs in that pricepoint usually don’t have that much features. Or are so bare you probably won’t be enjoying it too much.
Handling and comfort of this sedan is no match to an SUV.
Im that one guy that isnt a fan of SUV's and Pickups in general. This is ok

As an RS owner, I've said this before and I'll say it again: buy the RS if you are passionate about driving. It's not for everybody. Not buying a car for utility or shuttling people is not an option when getting the Civic in today's standards. I drove mine to Baler last March and I can tell you that the RS actually feels like an affordable luxury sports sedan in terms of refinement.

Hello Sir. First time ko palang po sana magkakaroon ng car and nakita ko po yung vlog niyo kaya I know po na mabibigyan niyo ako ng better advices. Naguguluhan po kasi ako sir kung ano ang kukunin ko na car kung honda civic fd 2008 ba or Mitsubishi mirage g4 2018 po.
Kung mitsubishi mirage g4 po sir ang kukunin ko, mas makakatipid sa gas tsaka mas-latest po. 2018 model po siya and mas mababa ang odometer, nasa 35,xxx po yung odometer. Ang price po niya sir ay 290k. Tsaka parang hindi daw po ganoon kamahal ang maintenance.
Kung Honda civic fd naman po, mas luma yung model niya kasi 2008 model po tsaka mas-mataas na po yung odo. Nasa 150,xxx na po yung odo. Tsaka base po sa nababasa ko eh hindi daw po matipid sa gas ito unlike mirage g4 na matipid talaga. Tsaka mahal din daw po ang maintenance ni civic. Kaso ang pogi talaga ni civic sir, ang angas talaga.
Kaya hindi ako makapag-decide sir kung ano ang kukunin ko sa dalawa, kung mirage g4 ba o civic. Pang daily work ko sana Sir. Yang mga kotse na yan ay nakita ko po sa marketplace. Kung kayo po nasa sitwasyon ko Sir sa pagpili ng sasakyan, ano po ang pipiliin niyo? Alam ko isa po kayo sa expert na makakatulong para mabigyan ako ng mas-magandang advices sa pagpili ng sasakyan. Salamat, Sir.

Napaka bare naman ng SUVs na base variant sa ganyang pricepoint. Baka di mo din ma enjoy unless na madami ka talaga balak isakay. Saka iba pa rin comfort ng gasoline powered sedan.

Based on research, all variants are overpriced, unlike its peers. Not worth it, especially its tech offerings, and interior design. If we have better income rate in the PH it's a different story.
Not so, their base variant is actually good having the same engine and honda sensing as their totl. Can you name a sedan with having 175hp? I even find the corolla v to be inferior with civic s.
It’s not. It’s still a honda at the end of the day. Reliable engine. It’s like saying iphones are overpriced because it lacks some tech features.
