I watch the fuck out of the 3rd movie when I was 10 years old and I have no ideal why I skipped the fucking games. Maybe because all I had is a DS lite and the Ice age games on handheld was... me. I need to play this game ASAP! TIME FOR ANOTHER TRIP WHEN TIMES WAS BETTER!
As an owner of the Wii version, I can tell you that while the lock-on is a bit of a problem. ...man, that level where you play as Sid and protect the eggs from incoming dinosaurs was way more trickier than it needed to be (especially with the motion controls which, unlike the PS3 version, can't be turned off).
Also, this game has cheat codes! But what makes these codes more interesting others is them being fully discovered (or least, covered publicly for the first time) by a member of an Ice Age 2 speedrunning Discord group. That's something.
I remember being very dissapointed by the Ice Age 4 game. Arctic Games, unfortunately, was nothing compared to the Ice Age 2 and 3 video games. Imagine how much fun it could have been though if they had gone the route of Ice Age 2 and have you play Scrat as he searches for Scratlantis! There was so much content they could have potentially covered with that kind of premise.
When i was a kid i use to play this game all the time on my Wii and i've enjoyed every single minute of it especially the pterodactyl segments and chased by Dinosaurs segments.
But after the 3rd movie. The 4th one was a step down from Dawn of the Dinosaurs but inoffensive. The 5th one is having to deal with space crystal bullshit and was a leap back from the 4th movie... So yea, a T.V series will be nice at least. I wish we had a ice age fi- Oh hey look Disney is making another Ice... Age... Movie...? BlueSky is shut down all doors?! It will have buck again even though he was supposed to be a one off character and only in one movie?! It's already out. It's worse than the 5th movie in almost every way. They are planning to make another Ice Age movie after that flop. This series is fucked to oblivion.
I actually loved Ice Age Dawn of the dinosaurs the one that made me burst out laughing was when they were in that one crazy trench and their voices were all high-pitched I thought that was funny but my siblings thought that was weird
