Ice Age: Continental Drift; the fourth movie in the series which tackled the group having to face the separation of the giant Pangea land mass and pirates. I think people started to feel like the Ice Age franchise had begun to run its course with Dawn of the Dinosaurs and general opinion of the movies just got lower and lower ever since. That’s not good since Continental Drift released during the 10 year anniversary for the series. And now, I'm reviewing the game for said movie during the 20 year anniversary of the franchise, a year after Blue Sky Studios closed… This game can't be that bad right?

Ice Age 4 was a Movie I saw in the theaters back in 2012 or whatever this game out and even as a 11 year old kid I thought something was lacking about the 4th one. It's honestly crazy how this series fall off so hard with 3 awesome movies but the next 3 suck so much and the last one I can barely call a Movie it's 40 minutes long. Also Thanks for the Shoutout mate I love supporting your content and I can't wait to see more
Thank you. It's always appreciated to hear that. I have a big feeling that my thoughts on the fifth movie are gonna be negative, especially since it didn't even get a game released alongside it unlike the ones before (I feel like that's a REALLY bad sign). Hope the Scrat game is decent though.
Weirdly enough, I owned this game on 360, I'm pretty sure, and I feel like I remember the game looking just as bad graphically on there, when it came to cutscenes and such. I could be maybe just remembering it incorrectly, to be fair, but I remember thinking the kangaroo character especially looked ugly as can be. It's an interesting contrast between the game and the movie, cuz, say what you will about each of the movies as a whole, Ice Age 2-5 consistently had a pretty solid animation quality, imo. And also regarding the movie for this game, I physically felt myself cringe to an obscene degree at the credits sequence. The song was bad enough, but the character's dance moves were even worse. Regardless, this was a very entertaining video (especially since the first video I watched from you was actually the Ice Age 3 review haha), and I look forward to seeing more! That dance sequence was one of the main factors that make you feel like it's different than the previous three. Glad to see you've enjoyed videos since the Ice Age 3 video (I'm also surprised that that video has gotten rather popular over the Meltdown game).
20th Anniversary……😅 this was the last ice age movie I saw ever. So I didn’t see movie 5 about space and that possibly placement of this game sounds confusing 😅

I remember getting this as a kid and the Wii verisons better compared with 3ds tbh. But i dont have both of them anymore
I prefer the 2nd film over the other films but when I was a kid I love contiential drift, but I did find it boring as I kept watching it on DVD. I will admit I laughed at did rapping in the end, also I would rather listen to john Powell's score from ice age the meltdown over the games and movie score. Also for scrat cannon, why does Ellie and flynn voices sound like granny and Gupta. I can wait to see you review ice age scrat adventure frozen.
Ice Age 4 I’d still take over 3 and 5. I liked most of the new characters it added, and the villain was a lot of fun.
I’d definitely recommend the Rio video game. Which is a Mario Party clone but it’s fun. If you like SpongeBob: Lights, Camera, Pants!, then you would like Rio :)
Also Ice Age 4 is a fine movie. I liked that it did follow the trio again plus Captain Gutt and his pirate crew were fun. But the unnecessary characters like the Teenage Mammoths and the Hyraxes made it just okay. But at least we know that Scrat is practically a god with him creating the Continents and the Solar System in Collision Course.
The teenage mammoths did feel like they were only there for celebrity cameos. I know that Drake has an acting career, especially more around when the movie came out (which is still funny for that he is in the movie mainly due to recent memes about him), but still. Also, Scrat's pretty much has always been a god since at least the second movie.

Honestly I think Continental Drift has some charm and funny scenes especially from Sid cuz he's comedy relief. But the movie isn't that good. Basically scenes will make you laugh but the movie is still not good. If someone asks me what is the best sequel after 2 I say Dawn of the Dinosaur even if it's not good either it has some good laughs & story not bad. My favorite moment in any Ice Age movie is Scrat kung fu fighting Piranhas.
Also if you plan to do another anime license review can you do Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise? I do look forward to your Scooby-Doo 100 Frights review. As a kid I get lost in that game, it's a big maze & not knowing where to go or what to do is annoying & platforming could've been better if they placed camera angles better & Scooby not falling through the platform like the dock boat sails despite landing on perfect spots.
First off, thank you very much for the super thanks. It means a ton. Second, if I were to do a review for a Fist of the North Star game, I'd have to watch it first since I haven't before. It would take quite some time for me to do so, and that's not even including the time to work on the video itself, but I have started watching just in case I want to get around to it.
@@TheFrozenCavern you can watch the whole series but it is time consuming but you can also watch the 1986 anime movie they use the important story arcs & put them in an hour long movie but it's not a canonical story its just alternate way of understanding what the story is about. The anime movie english dub also has the Late James Avery doing some voice work but it's brief. The dub is bad but enjoyable like so bad it's good so I recommend the Japanese language with English subs.
I can agree on that, I've played this game when I was a kid and didn't really enjoy it all that much I mean sure there were some mini-games that I thought were pretty fun, but overall, this game isn't as good as Ice age the meltdown or Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
Why disnt thehy make the game a platfomer where it takes levels based on thr movie and NOT be a random party game ?
I never bought this game but I remember watching it on CZcams and thought it was fun, the 4th movie was kinda mid to me for sure even when I was younger lmao

I imagine that it wouldn't be canon, but still, the story being so far from being possible erks at me.
