- On this General Conference Sunday Edition special, Boyd Matheson sits down with President Jeffrey R. Holland, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his interview with President Holland, Boyd asks him to reflect on lessons he has learned from his 30 years as a special witness of Jesus Christ to all the world. President Holland shares some of those important lessons he has learned since his childhood- and several important lessons he has learned over the last few years of his life. Finally, Boyd sits down with Camille N. Johnson, Relief Society General President, to look at the impact of women in the church, on the community and around the world. President Johnson also shares what she has learned from serving women around the world, as well as serving alongside the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Going to miss him when he is called home. This man has been so instrumental in my spiritual journey. Many great spiritual experiences with him. Spiritual Giant.

President Holland I feel some times was put on the earth just at the right time for a lot of us. I really can relate to him. He has helped me more than anyone in the church. Hope someday to meet him. Here or there.

I am not a member and do not live in Utah but he is a kind man from what I have seen.

you haven't seen the true picture of him and how condescending and projecting he is on those who don't believe in the fallacious Mormon faith--more aptly called a business corporation.
President Holland is an incredible person. I had the privilege to meet him in person once. His ability to be direct in his testimony and never let his eyes off of the Savior Jesus Christ is inspiring. His 30 years of service and sacrifice has blessed the world in immeasurable ways.
His 'testimony' has nothing to do with love of God. He loves the organization he is benefiting off of financially--while also bringing acclaim to himself--and so he preaches how amazing the LDS corporation is. But Holland has no genuine love for God--or people for that matter. IF he did, the church wouldn't spend its money the way they do.

@@SolaGratiaDefender I came from the same Mormon background you did that told you, again and again, to give these men utter deference and admiration--without any incredulity or vetting of them or their characters. So I can tell you I know as much as, or more , of this man's words than you do.

I love Elder Holland and President Johnson. Grateful Elder Hollands life has been preserved a little longer. President Johnson helping us know that Christ is relief is wonderful.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints faces challenges. But that's hardly anything new. We've been facing challenges since 1830. But even with the ups and downs we have faced, I have always been impressed by the way the top leaders, including Elder Holland, continue to weather those storms.

Oh, Elder Holland! How I love this man and his words of hope! His ministry helped me keep going when everything in me wanted to quit life. I listen to his conference talks and BYU devotionals regularly to be reminded of that Hope with a capital H-Hope in Christ; Hope that through Christ, all will be made right. ❤

I prayed for this man to come back to Earth -- we need you, Apostle Holland to help save the world and usher in the 2nd Coming... But we understand you want to be reunited with Pat! (up to "THE GUY UPSTAIRS"...)
I marvel he would feel inadequate when I see him as one of the pinnacles of mankind. I love how he teaches from the scriptures, but clearly has an intellect that has been sped up by the hand of the Lord. I hope you wrote down your recent experience, and I pray when the time is right that it can be shared with the world. I am seeking my own experiences, and each time I get a glimpse it is so exciting.
Both of these leaders are definitely chosen by Christ to SERVE his children. I love and honor them!

I definitely agree with this sentiment, but I wish the Church leaders would speak on their testimony of the rules. I think that would both help members struggling to understand why some things are so and also help the brethren root out false traditions from our practices.
I love and sustain President Holland. I’ve been blessed to know him personally for many years.

I had no idea he was going through all this. My favorite Apostle, actually got a hug from him in 2004, Midland, Michigan. I told him I loved him, he said he loved me too, I believed him!! Amazing man❤❤

There’s a quote by Joseph B. Wirthlin that I think answers your question: “The church is not a place where perfect people gather to say perfect things, or have perfect thoughts, or perfect feelings. The Church is a place where imperfect people gather to provide encouragement, support, and service to each other as we press on in our journey to return to our Father in Heaven”

It would take courage to be the first from the Quorum to choose to become an emeritus apostle... wouldn't be a bad decision though.
There may be around 17 million members in the records, but why not reveal the actual activity/attendance/retention rates?
Not sure it matters. What matters is the individual's choice to attend.
@@catherinefadian-lewandowsk8851 the attendance and retention rates are much more important than the total membership number to show the actual state of the church that "thinks celestial". Isn't the church using this data also to organize/reorganize wards, stakes, and build temples?
First met Jeffrey R Holland is waiting for a parcel in the whole world. I met him on my mission with him with my parents over Salt Lake City Utah. Are you a member of the (Church) Jesus Christ latter-day Saints I’ve been member of the (Church) has my life she’s out I was born. What priesthood authority for women is she talking about? A single mother in a remote area (or during a pandemic) isn't allowed to bless the sacrament for her children, nor is allowed to give a priesthood blessing to her sick child in the middle of the night...
This person has never once fasted by giving a meal to the poor. Weak excuse of an apostle? No way. Not an apostle. A gluten… nothing more. Where are the healed children that have been dying? No power, no love, no service. Just words and lots of money.
