  • Make some quick and easily reversible intake mods to your VSport. No tuning required for as little as $50. In this video I cover two levels of modification to your intake for improved sound and looks in case you don't want to spend $500 on a full intake system that can be difficult to remove for dealer visits.

    I agree I choose to make my own intakes as well and generally they come out looking better and more functional

    Another awesome video Danial.....thank you. I plan on doing this one soon. I wish I had the mad skills at video editing that you have. You prepare such a good product to explain in great detail all the work. I especially appreciate the close up tips on disconnecting the various electrical connectors that are a pain to figure out.

    Do you make one for the xts v-sport? The air intake is different between the CTS and XTS

      No sorry. Haven’t had my hands on an XTS.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 3 lety

      Too much to explain. Didn’t even want to make a video on it. Cost just as much as a ZZP intake to make right and a lot more time.

    Hey those white plastic pieces in the canisters do they serve a purpose? Like catch oil? I’m thinking of ordering the carbon fiber pipe how long was the shipping if you remember?

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před rokem

      I don’t recall the shipping time. Are you talking about the portion before the turbos? With the holes? They serve as mufflers and redistribute air to the blow off valves

      @JetFuelOnly  Před rokem

      @@tjsworld2338 but you have to figure out a new way to have a split in the intake to route the blow off. And on one side a place to mount the map sensor

    • @tjsworld2338
      @tjsworld2338 Před rokem

      No I’m talking about the white piece inside the tube inlet connected to the turbo that you don’t remove in your video. Do they come out and what is their purpose it at 9:40

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před rokem

      @@tjsworld2338 that’s what I’m talking about too. I don’t think the internals can be removed but never tried. The canister they are in is difficult to reproduce just look at the ZZP intake

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 3 lety

      Straight pipes get occasional pops, more without cats. A lot of pops are done through tuning.

    Does the stage 2 make a difrence with the other couplers rather than the oem are they bigger or just for looks

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 4 lety +4

      juanito12361 mostly looks, smoother flow I guess but none of this makes much of a difference. :)

    9:50 the silencers don't need to come out?

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 3 lety

      Nope... look down the hole it’s a straight shot to the turbos. I think the ZZP intake makes the install unnecessarily difficult by removing them.

      @lacboiatl Před 3 lety

      @@JetFuelOnly but they quiet the noise we love lol. I'm going to do your stage 2. I wanted that zzp intake but the website is out of stock and I don't trust buying in the group now since we have dishonest members.

    I really have no clue who to reach out to .
    Recently my car has been shifting in the rear like a steering issue and it comes back any idea ?

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t think I understand what’s happening. Can you describe it more? What year is your car? Any noises?

    • @abelperez5179
      @abelperez5179 Před 3 lety

      It’s the 2015 cts v sport premium 3.6 I recently got a blowout driver side rear post that I thought I bent a rim :( but was not that. no noise just picture the vehicle being a train on the tracks in a straight line then for short periods of time post turning the vehicle feels like it goes off track then catches again . I was thinking cv axle something not really a mechanic at all . But even before that I’d accelerate then my traction control would come on so I thought dam maybe my rear diff 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I bought it post recall and don’t know if that was ever addressed
      Also I appreciate the response even if we don’t come to an answer i recently started watching your videos and they’re freaking great doing coils and plugs because you described my exact problem , I have a heavy foot 75k miles

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah that’s weird I would think maybe the differential was doing something odd but it would most likely give you a warning. I’d say stop by an alignment shop

  • @stevefrench3776

    what you left in is the intake silencer...sounds way better with it out.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 2 lety +1

      I wouldn’t say way better honestly. The most important thing for noise on this intake is open filters and the crossover.
      However making your own manifolds/silencer replacements are a big project.

    I noticed your coolant. Tank. I have this same car. I'm woundering does the catch Tank (Lower bigger Tank) suppose to be half full? I see the smaller one full!
    My smaller one is full but the bigger tank is empty, stays empty.

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  Před 3 lety
